Glen Arbor condo in the woods w/ screened porch, A/C, washer/dryer

Wonderful property in the Homestead Resort, located only a few miles from Glen Arbor. The resort offers wonderful hiking trails, nice restaurant and a fabulous outside restaurant bar. The condo is a little dated, the carpet is worn and needs to be replaced. Otherwise, the condo is perfect for two people with a nice kitchen and sitting area. Easy drive to Glen Arbor or Suttons Bay area including Hop Lot!

It was a winter wonderland in Glen Arbor and we snowshoed and crosscountry skied to our hearts content and snuggled up by a warm fire in our comfortable condo at night. All good. The call from the host to see if everything was going good was a nice touch.

We enjoyed our stay at this condo and the beautiful property. We walked the property during the day and viewed a couple sunsets at the beach on Lake Michigan in the evening. It’s also very close to the bike trail. We would definitely stay here in the future.

Weren’t allowed to check in until 4pm but when we arrived it hadn’t even been cleaned yet. We had to call the property manager and leave the condo until they got it cleaned, and even then we found some stains on the bed sheets and had to re-wash them ourselves. Other than that everything was pretty average.

Everything was great, perfect location to our planned activities. Very comfortable stay. The smoke alarm kept going off for no reason. Probably just needs a new battery. We enjoyed the place very much!

It was good! Only thing it needed was a dehumidifier in the unit. Very clean and cute.

it was amazing time. It was clean very well. Kept good area close to Glen Arbor Glen heaven really cute went to the sand dunes. Had an amazing time. Wish I was there longer. I will be back.

No better place in America than Leelanau county in the summer!

Super easy check in and check out. The place was very clean! Air conditioning worked very well!!

There were 2 problems. I struggled a bit with getting the key out of the lock box. It took a few minutes. I also had a problem putting the key back in the lockbox. I called the office and told them I would leave it in the condo. The other problem was with the wooden track way from the parking lot to the condo. There are several scary steps that do not have a railing. I brought my walking sticks both times I've stayed in this condo. That's the only way I could feel safe using those stairs. The condo itself is charming. If the Homestead would make those stairs safer, I would give this condo 5 stars.

Place was great. Had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Love the shop/bar at The Homestead. Great beach here too!

Overall the place was very nice. The inside of the house was clean and well kept but outside was covered in grime and spider webs. Along with this the check in process was very vague and did not explain where the place was. Even with these problems though, our stay was nice and enjoyable.

The area is beautiful and you are close to many different things in the area. Sleeping Bear Dunes, Fish town, Traverse City are all close by. The property provided a nice spot away from everything but close enough to get there easily.

My only concern is the safety of the steps I had to navigate to and from the condo. There were railings for some of the steps, but not all, and those were scary. I'm 76 and not nearly as steady or confident as I used to be. I took my walking sticks and that's how I navigated the rail-less steps. These are only 2 or 3 steps long, but with no railing to steady me, they are a horrifying fall risk. I brought the sticks so that I could hike up and down dunes on my way to the lakeshore. I used them to walk to the condo.

Property as described. Clean. Perfect for 2. Great home base for exploring Leelanau peninsula, traverse city & sleeping bear.

The location was great and easy to get to within the Homestead resort, it was within walking distance to Cavanaugh’s if you wanted to pick up any needed items, the beach was a short car ride or bike ride down the road. The unit itself was very nicely decorated and had everything we needed, nice living room, full kitchen, small table and chairs for dining. The town of Glen Arbor and Sleeping Bear Dunes were a short car ride away. We had a little trouble at first with the lock box but were able to get that to work, and we wished the ac worked a little bit better for the bedroom but we used the supplied fan to help. Overall very pleased with our stay and would stay here again.

Location of unit as described. Keys were not in lockbox upon arrival. Had to call management to get access to emergency lockbox. Got into unit with emergency key and the original keys were left in unit by housekeeping. Unit was as described but was not the cleanest. Animal droppings were found in living room under a chair and rugs and carpets were dirty.

My husband and I enjoyed staying in this lovely, updated unit in The Homestead. It is well equipped, comfortable and walking distance to Whiskers and Cavanaugh’s. We would definitely come back in the future!

No where to store bikes, except in the screened porch, which was a bit of a hassle. We had an issue with the shower liner not being clean, but was quickly taken care of. Needs a fresh coat of paint.
