First Tracks 3204 offers you a great location and fantastic amenities, everything you need, for a fair price. First Tracks at Wildhorse is known as the most affordable lodging option in the Wildhorse Meadows development. When you book this unit, you'll have access to all of the facilities, for a low nightly rate. Amenities include the very large heated pool, the hot tubs, fitness center, game room, and of course, the Wildhorse Gondola! The condo itself has some great features too. Please read on for more details.

The Property:
The main living space is an open concept floorplan which combines the living room, dining room, and kitchen into one big room. As you enter, you'll find a bench with shoe and boot storage underneath, cubbies to store your hats, goggles and mittens, and hooks for your coats. There's a built in desk for working remotely, plus a front loading washer and dryer so you can travel light or clean and dry out your gear when you like. The kitchen is a good size. It is fully equipped and then some, with bonus items you don't find in every kitchen, such as the crockpot. Who doesn't like to come home to a hearty soup or stew after a day of adventure For dining or serving up apps and drinks, there is seating for 4 at the kitchen bar and 4 more at the dining table. The living room has a large leather sofa with chaise lounge and an ottoman that can provide some additional seating for larger groups. There's a large HDTV for your entertainment plus some board games as well. Bring along an HDMI cable and you can connect your tablet or laptop to the TV and stream the content of your choice. Finally, there is a pretty large covered deck with views of surrounding mountains, and with southern exposure, you might catch one of Steamboat's renowned alpenglow sunsets.

The 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are on opposite sides of the living room, providing a good separation of space, a little privacy. The master suite is large, easily accommodating a King size bed, and the ample closet means you can put away your luggage with room to spare. There's also an HDTV and large windows for natural light. The master has a private bathroom that includes new tile floors, a vanity with lots of counter space, and a shower/tub combo. The second bedroom is also a good size. It has 3 beds. There's a Full over Full bunk bed, plus an extra Twin bed . Some call Full beds Double beds. Either way, they're 6 foot 3 inches long and 54 inches wide. So they can work for a couple, and are a lot wider than a Twin bed. With 2 Full beds and 1 Twin bed, this room could work for 3 kids, 3 single adults, one couple, a couple plus a kid or two, even a couple who are fighting! Of course there shouldn't be much to fight about, when you're vacationing here. Go relax in the hot tubs! This bedroom does have a TV of its own and lots of closet space too. Enjoy!

Location:
Wildhorse Meadows is just down the hill from Gondola Square. This First Tracks condo is about 150 to 175 yards from the Wildhorse Gondola, which runs morning to night during the ski season only. There is no way you'll need a car or shuttle to get to and from the slopes. The walk is easy, but you can make it even easier by storing your skis and boots in Gondola Square. If you're renting equipment, we have discounts with multiple rental shops, and free storage is part of the deal. There's a lot more you can walk to than the Wildhorse Gondola. You have some great hills for sledding, the Brick restaurant and bar, the Steamboat Tennis Center, Strings in the Mountains Music pavilion, and the shops, restaurants, and movie theaters found in the Wildhorse marketplace. There's also easy access to the Casey's Pond, the Yampa River and the Yampa River Core Trail. So if jogging, strolling, biking, fishing, skiing, snowboarding, shopping, dining out, playing tennis, live music, or watching movies is your thing, you'll be in good shape at this location!

Arrival, Access, and Parking:
Once you book, we're here to support you. We offer professional concierge services, provide you with arrival instructions, and answers to any specific questions you might have. Access to this condo requires one set of stairs. There is no elevator. But it's just one flight, no problem right Parking is free, reserved for owners and guests of the building, and unassigned, so park anywhere in the lot. Trailers are not allowed, per HOA guidelines, but if you plan to bring one, there are options for parking them nearby. Contact us for details.

    Very convenient location! A quick walk to the gondola offers easy access to the base area with your ski gear. The interior of the condo was a bit dated but very clean and offered everything we needed for our stay. We would definitely choose this property again.

    Location was fantastic, however the actual condo was poorly furnished and lacking in basics that would greatly increase functionality, such as a dresser in the bunkbed room and cutting board in the kitchen. The door threshold to the master bedroom was broken and created a tripping hazard. Unit was not well cleaned, toilet bowl has grime, and trash code was wrong so we were unable to remove any excessive trash or recycling.

    This condo had everything we needed. Enough beds for my three kids and a nice comfortable bed for my husband and myself. The kitchen was fully stacked and had plenty of room for me to cook. The location was perfect! Just a walk to the gondola that took you right to the base. We would love to stay there again.

    Great location! Condo is over and could us updating. 2nd bedroom has 2 beds- both creaky. No room to unpack in 2nd bedroom. Toilets had black rings in them- either stains from age or not cleaned well. Kitchen stocked adequately- several large pans and a few pots. No significant cooking staples provided- pepper in shaker, no salt, and a can of PAM cooking spray was it. No smart TVs. Management company and owner very responsive and helpful. Loved the skiing. Despite the few things mentioned above I would definitely return.

    This condo is just what you need, but not much more. Our group of six really enjoyed the amenities of the wildhorse gondola proximity and the hot tubs. However the condo itself was pretty meh. The dining table and lounge space are very crowded and all the furniture was pretty uncomfortable. The beds in the bunk bed room were also pretty old and uncomfortable - maybe fine for kids, but not for adults. Fortunately, no one comes to steamboat to hang around inside a condo - so it didn’t limit our enjoyment of the weekend. But suffice to say, if you’d like a comfortable space to gather and hangout after the ski day, this may not be the place for you. However, if you really just need a place to sleep and eat and not much else, this listing will be just what you need. I will say the management company was super responsive and provided all the information I needed to check in and out smoothly.

    Property is almost exactly as listed and described. We enjoyed our stay, notably the location. We did not spend much time at the place besides sleeping and in between skiing. The number one thing I would recommend is that they replace the mattresses in the 2nd room. They are painful and you can feel the wooden bed frame underneath. Otherwise the place is well kept and incredible for a low budget ski weekend!

    Property management communication was great. Very clean property. Right now there is construction going on across the street while they are building a new very tall condominium building, so the streets were full of builders and contractors all trying to use the street. Not the fault of owners, but wasn't the greatest place to be staying while trying to enjoy the outdoors. They even worked on weekends.
