Walkable to metro, grocery, and many restaurants and coffee. Great hot tub, pool, club room. We rented 4 condos for a big family, and it was great to have common spaces to gather in. Super basic accommodations inside the condos, the owner does not appear to live or stay in these. No washcloths, 1 hand towel, very limited cooking utensils, pots, pans, no broom, limited seating, end tables, etc. It was nice that a few laundry and dishwasher pods were provided. Just know to bring your own stuff if staying for awhile.
Had a nice week long stay here. Would stay here again and recommend it to others. Apartment was clean and tidy. Could have used some better lighting and a dresser in each bedroom, but comfortable overall. Front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. Always felt safe and had no major issues. Check-in is different because it is through the WeHostGroup website, could be a challenge for some renters, but I didn't have any issues. Four adults stayed here comfortably, more than that might be a challenge. I read the reviews and instructions carefully so I knew to bring essentials like washcloths, soap, shampoo, tp, etc. Check-out was quick and easy. Biggest issue was parking. If you don't mind walking there are multiple parking options nearby. There is also parking available in the building's garage, but the instructions regarding that are not very clear. My biggest suggestion for WeHost would be to include a parking pass for the building with clear instructions with each stay. I think that would make things a lot easier for everyone, but that is just my opinion. Both the Ballston and Virginia Square Metro stations are about a quarter mile away, so again if you don't mind walking they are a convenient way to get to DC. I'd say on average it takes about 30 min to get from the apartment to everything on the mall via metro. I'm not sure you really save any time or money taking the metro over driving and parking in DC, but if you prefer public transit this is a good place to stay.
House was okay clean, and check-in was difficult that I had to upload all adults' IDs to its guest portal, and also emailed to its customer service as it claimed that the customer service couldn't retrieve the IDs from the guest portal. Shampoo and soap only provided for one day supply and they were cheap products. Towels were worn out. One of the beds was really bed that it was sunken in the middle. My kid would rather to sleep on the coach for a better sleep. A couple items were broken but they were minor. Since we drove so we were not restrict to location. Off street parking was not hard to find so we saved $20 per day onsite parking.
This is a great location. Easy access to metro, plenty of food/shopping within walking distance.
