Summary:

Ptarmigan Village is 52 acres of serenity perched on the slope of Big Mountain nestled in a cedar forest. Condos are located throughout the property, three per building, with private decks for awesome wildlife gazing.



The Space:

We have a new indoor salt water swimming pool, a large outdoor hot tub and a dry sauna. Next to the pool building is a playground for children. In summer, our outdoor pool is perfect for relaxing or you can take a drive down toour beach on Whitefish Lake where you can take a swim and revel in a gorgeous sunset. Hiking is right out your door with 52 acres to roam. We have two newly resurfaced tennis courts if you want to get in a game. Elmer`s Pond is stocked with trout each spring for children to try their luck. A laundromat is situated in the center of the village and Wi-Fi is available there and at the indoor pool building.



Ptarmigan Village is a spectacular location just two miles below the world-renowned Whitefish Mountain Resort ski area and a short 10-minute drive to downtown Whitefish, Montana. This unique location features unrivaled access to all of the best that Whitefish has to offer and is less than 45 minutes to Glacier National Park. During the winter months Whitefish features some of the best skiing in North America. This skier’s paradise, which boasts legendary runs like Hell Roaring Basin, Home Again, Tree Trails, and Ptarmigan Bowl which have long been known for steep terrain and abundant snowfall and was once widely considered a playground for only the hardest charging skiers and dedicated adventurers. However, in recent decades it has been transformed. With expanded intermediate and beginner terrain and multiple new lifts, and runs the Whitefish Mountain Resort has evolved to meet the needs of skiers of all abilities with over 98 trails. In addition to all the runs National Ski magazine rated Whitefish Mountain Resort as the #3 place to in the entire country! When the snow melts Whitefish Mountain becomes a summer playground home to zip lines, alpine slides, hiking, biking and so much more. The greater Whitefish area has some of the best golfing, water sports, fishing, whitewater rafting, festivals and is the gateway to Glacier National Park.



Pets are not permitted in any of the Ptarmigan Rental properties during short-term rental stays. Service dogs are permitted with notification and completion of proper paperwork prior to making the reservation. Montana does not recognize Emotional Support Animals as service animals, property owners are not required to accept ESA documentation. Guests traveling with ESA or Service animals are directed to call the Ptarmigan Rentals office to inquire.



Glacier Park International Airport is only about 20 minutes from Whitefish, Montana so getting here is easy!



Guest Access:

You will have full access to the indoor heated water pool and large hot tub. In summer, you can go to Whitefish Lake via our private lot or enjoy the outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts and kids playground.

We are located in a cedar forest close to Whitefish Mountain Resort and 45 minutes from Glacier National Park.



Other Things to Note:

Ptarmigan is a four season resort. Consider Spring and Fall during off-season for great deals on rates. Stay for less and enjoy the Village without the crowds!
