Cleaning
The room, itself, is cute enough. The bed is tight to the bathroom which just has a pocket door, so it can be a little small in that sense. However the real issue is the upstairs apartment. During our stay there was a family upstairs that it appears, based on the sounds and flickering lights out of the front window, brought karaoke and maybe dance dance revolution to play. Any walking echos downstairs but running and jumping is super annoying. They finally quit at midnight. However, at 6am the kids woke up and ran around waking my wife and I. We bring a big sound machine when we travel and it could not save us from the thundering of feet and rushing water (when people use the restroom the pipes come down the wall of the bedroom and it appears there was no sound dampening used). All in all we got only a few hours of sleep in the haven that we had hoped we booked. room
Very close to the beach and downtown, everything is within short walking distance. Nice kitchen area and clean. Shower is kinda small but that's really my only complaint, I wish the bedroom tv had the smart TV apps but overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for couples
Convenient to downtown Cannon Beach and the beach. Small, but, had what we needed. No more than 5 minute walk to either. Definitely dog friendly with a dog treat and poop bags in a basket with blankets and towels for any pups. Assigned parking space tough to get into, but, there are 2 unassigned spaces in the lot and since we mostly used one of those it was not an issue for us.
If you are looking for a pet friendly, affordable location in Cannon Beach look no further! Truly, my dog and I had such a great time recharging and exploring the beach and all the hiking trails nearby, highly recommended!!
The location is perfect! Close to both downtown and haystack rock. It is close to the road, but surprisingly quiet. I did see complaints about people upstairs, we had the best weekend neighbors and they kept is very quiet, despite having a toddler.
The space was actually very nice! Large and for the most part well eqipped. I really like how much room there was in the bedroom and living area! Plus it had plenty of outdoor space as well which, when the weather is better, would be great! My big complaint is the lack of heat. There is one largely ineffective wall heater in the bedroom that makes it less cold, but not really warm and there is no heat at all in the living room. A good place overall and I will be back!
This was not a good stay. The cottage smelled. There is only a portable heater in the kitchen area and it almost caught the eleccal socket on fire. Had to call to have maintenance come fix the wall heater in the bedroom. There were no matches for the fireplace that i could find. Had no heat that was safe to leave on while sleeping. The shower leaked all over my things on the bathroom floor. The carpet was so dirty. I will not stay in another Vacasa property. They did send someone to fix the issues promptly but honestly was not impressed.
The location was the only thing going for this property. It was very noisy from the upstairs neighbor. We had to move into the front room because of the noise above. And with no heat register in the front room it was freezing all night long. We only stayed one night instead of the two we paid for.
Convenient spot, just up the hill from central old town Cannon Beach. Close to Sleepy Monk, which is a must while in town. The suite itself has everything one would need for a little vaycay. The major thing to note is that this unit needs some TLC: the carpet has multiple stains and doesn’t feel clean (I remedied this by wearing my flip flops inside and my husband wore socks), new carpet would be a plus. The second major TLC needed is the shower..it’s cracking and the amount of mildew built up around the edge has grown to a point where it has a smell. The ceiling has a pink mildew growing, which isn’t ideal. The bed itself is right next to the bathroom, so if that’s a deterrent in anyway, you’re now aware.. bottom line, imho, the rate is set too high for what you’re stepping into as a guest.
Carpets were stained and felt dirty. Bathroom needs a lot of work. We could hear the people upstairs all night. Looks like they were renovating/updating the other unit. If they could update this one significantly it would feel worth the money. Great location though and feels spacious.
Enjoyed our stay but be aware the fireplace requires Pres to Logs not real wood.
This little apartment was the perfect location in Cannon Beach. Perfectly located between the two areas of interest, heart of town on one side, best coffee shop (sleepy monk) and brewery (pelican) on the other. All of that just one block away from the beach which is perfect for morning, mid day or evening strolls! Very reasonable price for Cannon Beach. Few things to be aware, bathroom is a bit outdated (especially shower) but all functioning well, there is a whole unit above so it can be a bit loud if you are a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, heat can be difficult to control (too cold or too hot) and finally, internet is not super good. We were working remotely from this place and struggle to get on some video calls. But overall, very positive experience and what is to be expected for a reasonable priced location.
