Destin West Heron 505 ~ 3BR/2.5BA ~ Bay Views ~ Overlooking the Lazy River

I was on cloud nine when I walked into the condo as well as my sister! Just amazing ? clean spacious and more! It was the best vacation I've been on in a while and would definitely book that room again next. Family oriented and so much activities to do, pool, sauna, lazy river and more ! Great family memories were made on our stay there! Thank you! Patty

We had a great time, everything was as described in the listing, my only issue was with the actual resort staffing. The quiet time was far from quiet, we called multiple times and got no answer. I'm not one to complain but there was a full on party going in the lazy river well after midnight with loud music and lots of yelling. I'm glad they had fun but quiet time didnt exist for us.

Location is excellent when you want a little of everything but not have to fight the Destin traffic.

We came as a family of 6. Kids ages are 13, 11, 11, and 5. The condo was lovely, clean, well decorated and comfortable. The kitchen could use new nonstick pans to cook in. The walk to the beach was way more involved than I expected. You have to take 3 separate elevators to get there and is probably a 12 min walk. The pool was a let down. The lazy river is extra lazy, with the water barely moving. We came early to mid May and the water temperature in the pools was very cold with the exception of one side pool that seemed to be heated. The pools overall were not well cleaned. There was a lot of debris in the pools everyday. It was disappointing because we could have picked a beachfront condo but I thought all of these amenities seemed nice. Also, the music at the pool starts blaring loudly at 9:00 am until 10:00. It was annoying when we wanted to enjoy a peaceful morning or evening on the patio. Next time we will pick a beachfront condo with a simple pool.

Overall we had a great stay. The half bath light did not work and I let them know it was fixed within the next few hours. The beach toys were great and wagon was amazing. Only downfall is not having any beach towels to use. Very homie would love to come back!

Everything was just great. Looking to book again for future trips. Sunrise was just beautiful from the balcony!

We've now stayed here 2 years during spring break and love it. The only things I would say were things that we thought needed addressed would be the washer- it wouldn't spin out and you'd have to wash your clothes twice just to get the laundry detergent out of it. Also, the outdoor patio furniture needs updated. The table is super wobbly and there are only 4 chairs outside when the condo sleeps 8. Other than those things everything was great and we are hoping to be back next year if we don't decide to get a private house.

The listing was accurate, the location was great, my only complaint was how bright the bedrooms were even with the curtains and/or shades drawn.

Beautiful resort. Location was perfect. Weather perfect! Condo was very nice, plenty of room, and great view! We had requested handicap so were expecting hand rails in shower, but there weren't any. Had to purchase shower mat to stand on because the tile in shower was very slippery. Other than that our week was perfect! We hope to come back again.

Loved the pools, palm trees and views

The pools are great! Love the location of the pool bands in condo. Easy walk to beach. Close to many restaurants. We loved everything!

This place was absolutely perfect for our family vacation! The check in / checkout process was super simple and easy, and we found the inside of the unit to be very clean, and we LOVED the view from the balcony. The beach cart, chairs, umbrella and toys were an awesome perk, no need to lug yours down in the car, or buy anything, and the quick walk over the bridge to the beach was super simple. It was also the best location ever because we could walk to all the restaurants and mini golf too. And can we take a minute to talk about the lazy river?!?! Honestly, this was one of the biggest selling points when we booked this place and it was every bit as magical as we imagined it would be. We will definitely be back~

The ease of renting, arriving and leaving was the best I’ve ever experienced. The location was great, beautiful views, easy walk to beach. Location was convenient to everything. Nice restaurant right next door. A little hard to get out of the complex due to the traffic, almost need a traffic light. Loved our stay.
