Our beach home is a private, updated property siding onto Rathtrevor Provincial Park with a great unobstructed view of the beach. We are just steps to the beach and Rathtrevor. The condo is on the 2nd floor of a beach level 4-plex ... step out our front door and you are less than 100 feet to the beach and the park.

The unit is over 1,100 square feet with 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. It is equipped with in-suite washer and dryer and sleeps 4 people. There are 2 decks and a barbeque. The unit has been substantially updated in 2006. This includes new appliances and new hardwood floors, carpeting, and tiles throughout. The bathrooms are modern and updated. Each of the 2 bedrooms has a television and there is a high quality television with DVD player and stereo in the living room.

The main floor has a large picture window with a wonderful view of the beach. Great for when you just want to sit back and enjoy the view from the comfort of your living room. The main floor and top floor both have sunny outside balconies. Both balconies have great views of the beach and Rathtrevor. The kitchen, living, and dining rooms are open concept with a spectacular 14� cathedral ceiling.

We purchased our vacation home because we love the area and you will too! The beach is spectacularly tranquil and beautiful. The tide goes out almost the full depth of the bay and provides a great playground for kids, young and old, and a great place for anyone to roam around and enjoy the local scenery. After dinner, don�t forget to head back to the beach and enjoy some toasted marshmallows at the beachfront fire pits.

When you need another diversion, for little kids and big kids alike, there are 2 great themed mini-golf courses just up the road and a water park in Parksville. For the really big kids, the Parksville area is known for its impressive golf courses. The area also has hiking and mountain bike trails. And don�t miss the well renowned Market at Coombs.

    This was by far the best rental we have had in the Parksville /Nanoose Bay Area. Wonderful host, quick to respond. We had been informed that here were a few (very minor) things that needed repair so the err were no surprises. The location was SUPERB. The unit well appointed, clean well furnished with a fully equipped and good size kitchen. This rental is so worth the price, do not hesitate to book it!!Thank you Peter.

    This property is truly a gem!!! Our one month stay was very enjoyable. We were pleasantly surprised with how spacious and quiet the unit is. The home is so well equipped with everything you need, especially the kitchen. The beds are comfortable and the two bathrooms are very nice. Lots of comfortable seating.The best part is the location. Beautiful views of the water and the park area from the main living area and the two balconies. So enjoyed watching the changing tides. We saw lots of wildlife on our twice daily walks in Rathtrevor Provincial Park, which is right outside the property.Our host Peter was fantastic to deal with from start to finish. We will be back.

    First off, I just want to highlight Peter as a spectacular host. Communication was excellent and Peter was very generous in helping solve an issue during our stay (not related to him or the apartment). The place is well-stocked with kitchenware and comfortable furniture and everything works well. The views from the front windows and both decks are spectacular, and the upper deck has sun for most of the day. The Tanglewood complex is quiet and restful. Next door Rathtrevor Beach Park wasn't busy during our visit (late March) but it looks likely to host a lot of visitors in summer. However, the beach is big (especially at low tide) and there are many restaurants and other amenities in nearby Parksville to keep everyone occupied. Locally, we really liked the nearby Black Goose Pub. There are also several other provincial parks nearby that we enjoyed visiting — Cathedral Grove (avoid in high season), Spider Lake, and Englishman River Falls.
