Stayed Feb 14, 2025Cofresi is part of a consortium of resorts in the same area (Tropical, Presidential Suites, Villas, etc) that all share amenities, beaches and bars. Depending on the membership level you purchase, you have access to increasingly more options that the previous level. The owners fulfilled their end of the bargain and we were very happy to have the gold bands for the duration of our stay. The resort however needs some work. They didn't seem to know which office could help which type of guests. We were guests of owners but they had no idea where to direct us when issues arose. We wasted a day just in getting bounced around to different offices to get issues resolved. The first room they put us in was a ground level unit that had issues with water coming in. The room had a musty smell. They moved us to a 2nd floor unit, but the view was not as nice. It took us a while to figure out that we needed to go to the Real Estate office for help. The resort will happily direct you to the sales office and once there you are stuck in the sales seminar (their version of the timeshare tour). We enjoyed the NV 'Envy' Beach which was included with the gold bands. I honestly felt like it was better than the higher level beach next door because all the people from that beach had to come to ours to use the restroom. I was not impressed with any of the food at the restaurants. It was not bad, but just wasn't great. I was hoping for more seafood options. We would book again if possible though.

Stayed Mar 1, 2024The stay at the property was great. Exactly as described in the listing. Pre-booking and pre-trip communications and details from the owner's property manager were extremely helpful. Buildings are closest to the beach in the entire resort. And the resort is large with about 5 complete sections. The unit is in the Cofresi Palm section. The colored bracelet thing is a bit overdone here. However, having a gold one is certainly preferable over many others. There was no ocean view from the unit assigned (Bldg 40) but I could certainly hear the ocean. Beach/VIP beach was only a few steps from the building. VIP beach areas (there are at least 4 but one was closed) have nice, comfortable beach beds and staff was great. Drinks and food service available that is included in the VIP beach areas at no charge. I would definitely recommend tipping. It is critical to make dinner reservations at the restaurants as soon as possible upon arrival (or before). The resort did assign reservations for the first 3 nights at VIP restaurant selections but i changed them after the first night. Easy to do. You go to the VIP Guest Services office and I did not have to wait in a long line at 9 a.m. like non-VIP guests. I ate breakfast in the VIP breakfast restaurant once. I would suggest the regular buffet breakfast. It is a larger venue, easier to find a good place to sit, and better service in my view. The food available is not too different either. Tip: Learn the shuttle route!

Stayed Feb 22, 2024Overall my stay was ok the food choices were good a variety to chose from, the staff was friendly, but the front desk lost my state ID and it took approx. 3hrs to located it and lastly the mattress in my room was very hard and difficult to sleep on something similar to a mattress at a county jail or military barrack.

Stayed Dec 26, 2023Resort was very nice, food good. Beach view was awesome. Drake was amazing with communication and setting everything up. Did not realize restaurants on property were by reservation. We had reservations set up for us, but we weren't aware. New to the all inclusive so possible error on our part but the resort also failed to tell us-we found out when we went to schedule reservations. Also, resort was supposed to tell us about the extras we received by booking with this owner-told us they were busy and meant to call us but didn't. Overall-wonderfull experience.

Stayed Dec 8, 2023I was at this lifestyles resort 13 years ago. It's as beautiful as it was back then. Booking with John Wells has been the best experience I've had. He reply's to emails with hours not days, and when I received emails they are lengthy with so much information which is very appreciated. I didn't need to go back and forth with so many emails because John's emails for so informative. The resort itself is clean and very large. I was glad to have paid extra to get a golf cart as the resort is the largest Ive been on. I really loved how John booked all 12 nights for our dinner reservations so this saved me time getting up early to book. The food was excellent. I'm not a fan of steak but had steak at quite a few places as it was delicious. We just didn't care for one restaurant out of the 12 we went to We found the staff at the bars and restaurants weren't as friendly as other places we've been. We are used to bar staff being funny and joking or at least making small chat but we didn't get that here. Harmony beach was our favourite spot as the staff there was more friendly. This place also has servers that come to your cabana which doesn't happen at most of the pools. Overall this place is great if you are looking for a more relaxed vacation as it is a big resort with lots of areas to enjoy the many pools and nice beach.

Stayed May 10, 2023Enjoy being in DR. The downside of this trip is not from the owners of the suite but most of the resort staff and their lack of communication. On multiple occasions we were given misinformation and harassed multiple times to buy into their property. The beach was not clean as this was a major turnoff. If I was asked to return I would not. Another downside is the lack of entertainment and pools closing at 7 pm. I wish I had more positive things to say but lifestlye resorts will never get my business again. I would like to thank the owners of the suite for allowing us to rent out their property and respond to messages quickly.

Stayed Apr 8, 2023My husband, baby (9 months old) and I all had a great time. The VRBO is located within a resort and once you arrive you pay for the all inclusive bracelet. Really great value. Upon checking in we were able to book dinner for all our nights there, we received 3 complimentary alcohol bottles (of our choosing) and 2 juices. Due to the large scale of the resort you have to move around on the shuttle. At first is hard catching it because even though it is on a 20 minute schedule it’s hard to catch. I would recommend if possible to book one of the golf carts especially if traveling with a non walking/young child. The room is nice for resort standards, cold hood AC, was cleaned well and they provided us with a crib. Every beach had the nice lounge beds and we explored almost all of the beaches/sites. We can’t speak for the hotel entertainment at night since our little one was in bed by 830pm we had early dinners. Communication with VRBO was awesome they set up free round trip airport pick up, super nice car and friendly drivers. All in all would recommend.

Stayed Dec 27, 2022If you're going to stay at this resort, this unit and owner are first rate! The room is beautiful and exactly as described. Communication is thorough, accurate and responsive. The resort is challenging. Although it was beautiful and there were nice beaches, I would not travel to a Lifestyle Holiday Resort again. Even if you get the black band, there are places you won't be allowed to go (beaches, bars, restaurants). Even with the black band you can't necessarily get reservations at all restaurants. The resort decides where you get reservations when you arrive and then doesn't give you that information unless you go on the selling tour. Questions and problems are very difficult to get addressed. Employees will consistently state that you need to speak to someone else. That next person will direct to to someone else, etc. They provide reservation/service phone numbers that aren't answered. You won't be allowed into restaurants or activities (tennis, pickleball) even if it seems empty without a reservation. Internet access is almost non-existent. A low level signal is available in some areas. It isn't ever enough to support connection to a laptop. You can purchase internet access in the room, but the cost only covers a single device.
