This unit offers privacy and safety in a community surrounded by trees and Spanish moss, with a lovely enclosed courtyard where you can sit and enjoy the tranquility and lovely nature views. This is one of the few units in which the courtyard can be completely closed for privacy and convenience of pets, with gates having been added to the wall surrounding the patio.

You are less than a mile from the oceanfront, which can be accessed with a parking pass acquired at check-in or by walking or biking the shady trails. A free shuttle service runs from April-Sept. to take you to the beach or across the road to the shops, restaurants, and nightlife of Shelter Cove. Bike rentals are available at a facility within Palmetto Dunes.

Everything you need is provided, from beach towels to wi-fi. The condo offers upgraded bathrooms, complete kitchen, cable tv/Roku, and a spacious living room. St. Andrew's offers a wonderful outdoor swimming pool and deck, turtles in the pond nearby, and lovely walking trails.

This unit is pet-friendly with a $ 120 non-refundable pet fee and an agreement that no pets are allowed on the furniture. The beaches of Hilton Head are dog friendly, with dogs allowed on the beach any time of day between Labor Day and Memorial day, while during peak season they are allowed on the beach before 10 a.m. & after 5 p.m.

This condo is truly a gem that provides guests with a relaxing vacation that combines peace and quiet within the environment of St. Andrew's Commons with the convenience of nearby beaches and all that Hilton Head has to offer in the way of shopping, dining, art galleries, movie theaters, and cultural events at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina just across the road at Shelter Cove.

We try to work with you if you need to re-schedule a reservation, and we try to accommodate specific check-in and departure times if possible. In low season, reservations are accepted for periods of less than a week.

Please note: There is a $35 one-week parking pass fee that is paid to Palmetto Dunes upon check-in at the Pass Office. This allows you access to oceanfront parking and other amenities in Palmetto Dunes & Shelter Cove. The parking pass is $50 if needed for 8-14 nights, or $75-100 for longer stays.

    We’ve always stayed in Palmetto Dunes but have never before experienced Saint Andrews Commons. Wow! This is the best and exceptionally pet friendly!Condo was superb and well appointed. Perfect location to easily get anywhere on the island. This is our absolute favorite now! Can’t wait to return. Thanks Judy! You’re an amazing host!

    My dog, Wilson, and I spent December 2024 through March 2025 in this condo and really enjoyed our stay. My late husband and I rented in Sea Pines for many years, but after he died, I wanted to try a new location. I loved all that Palmetto Dunes offers, especially the beach and pickleball courts. It was great to be mid-island, with Shelter Cove shops, restaurants, and walking paths directly across the road.For any stay, but especially a long one, I take for granted that appliances work well, the bed is comfortable, heating and cooling are reliable, there is plenty of hot water, the wifi is strong, and the TVs have cable and some streaming stations. All of those things met my expectations. The condo is very well-supplied with towels, linens, and cleaning products. The enclosed patio was great for Wilson, who enjoyed being outside off lead.I doubt you will find a better Host. Judy is wonderful, easy to reach and very responsive. Was everything perfect? No, the condo is showing its age, and the living room needs to be freshened up. The furniture is worn, and too large for the small space. My guests complained that the sleep sofa was uncomfortable. Despite that, it was a cozy winter getaway.

    We were excited to have the option of a dog friendly condo in a great location in Palmetto Dunes. The condo needs attention from the owner. A thorough cleaning and some decluttering and furniture updates would be a good start. Everything just seemed a little worn out and neglected. We have stayed at many places and feel we overpaid for this level of cleanliness even after taking into consideration the pet friendly circumstance. Owner has offered a discounted return stay, but I don’t see us taking advantage of that.

    Lovely historic property, mature teees, well groomed property. Loved the first floor accomodations with private back patio and easy accessnto ground level to walk the dog. Plenty of home amenities for your comfort. No need to bring supplemental bath towels, dish towels, beach towels...everything is ready to go for your comfort. The owner was just always lovely to communicate with and responsive to any questions. The Dune Buggy service is THE way to go to the beach... so just bring tip money if you are a tipper like we are...

    Location is great. Mid island. Conveniently located just inside Palmetto Dunes. Propert is heavily trees so great for walking your pet.

    1668 St. Andrews Common was clean as a whistle. Good location for off-beach with fenced area for pets. Wonderful area outside the fence for small dogs to run if well trained.

    Judy, the landlord, is highly responsive, a great communicator and really is dog-friendly as advertised. The unit is well located and very functional despite its small size. Mattress and pillows were very good, and the MBR has a dog bed. There is a covered entryway where you can store your golf clubs or bikes safely and dog areas surround the property. Premium channels on TV and internet is good. Lovely stay in a great location.
