Stayed Aug 2, 2025After reading reviews, I was concerned about this property’s cleanliness and maintenance. However, the property was clean and met out standards. Great views of the ocean from the living area and master bedroom. Kitchen was adequately stocked with cookware and appliances.

Stayed Jun 18, 2025TL;DR - Was not impressed; looks like a quick-investment flipper special, cleanliness is lacking. Will I stay in this unit again? No. Will I stay at the Golden Sands again? Probably not. You get what you pay for. Pros - Assigned parking is great, you don't need to worry about where you will find a space. The amenities were good, with great views from the indoor pool/lounge. The ladies at the front desk were great during our check in process. Activities for the kids. We liked how the bathrooms in the unit had the sink outside so multiple people could get ready at the same time. This unit is close to the trash chute and stairs. Cons - No handicap parking. Water pressure (showers and toilets) was terrible. Exposed wires taped to the wall, nails/screws in the ceiling. Floors and tables were sticky when we first arrived. The balcony door does not lock. The termostat would not go below 75/76. Closets were locked, so that limited storage space for suitcases. We did not use the drawers because there were random cords and things in some of the drawers; we lived out of our bags. We brought our own linens, which saved us from sleeping with stained bedding (one of the kids bunks had a comforter with what looked like blood stains, the right top bunk looked to have a larger, old urine stain, and the king bed appeared to have a urine stain as well). The fresh (?) paint was streaky on the cabinets and walls, and there was paint peeling in the primary bathroom area. Elevators were slow & crowded and we had to wait 5-10 minutes to get one empty/not full. Could not connect to the Wifi. We witnessed staff leaving one day; two staff were walking together, and a third was trying to get their attention out of ear-shot. When he did not get their attention, he started talking to himself making comments about the pair that did not acknowledge him which seems unprofessional. Concerns - The door code was incorrect when we first arrived. After trying a string of variations over about 15 minutes, we found that two numbers in the 9-digit code were written backwards. On the last day of our trip, we were locked out of the unit completely. Another member on our trip tried to see if anyone at the Golden Sands could assist with unlocking the unit (thinking they might have an emergency key since it's a condo building). They called the after-hours security. A gentleman answered; it was explained that I was on hold with Vacasa, and we asked if there was anything managament could do to assist in the event Vacasa did not answer after-hours. He became very rude, stating things like, This isn't a hotel, and seemed generally annoyed that someone had an after-hours issue. He then lied and stated he was at the front desk, where we were actually waiting, and again became rude when we said nobody was there. We eventually got in with a reset code Vacasa gave us. The local Vacasa operations manager for the unit also did not call back.

Stayed Jun 2, 2025I don't think I can possibly fit all the issues into 1500 characters, so I'll hit the highlights. It looks nothing like the photos. It's dirty and in need of repair. The bathroom sink looked like it was painted and the paint was chipping/peeling. The beds weren't clean. My youngest daughter found a pair of dirty socks when she turned down the comforter. We had to sleep on top of the comforter the first night until they sent housekeeping to correct the problem. The sectional couch in the living room was missing a piece, so it only seated four and the pieces kept sliding around. There were random kitchen chairs and a giant empty box sitting in the living/dining area. The wifi info provided was not accurate, so Vacasa had to send someone to set up wifi and then we couldn't use any streaming services because the owners had logged in and locked their profile so we couldn't log them out. All of the closets in the second bedroom were locked for owners only and the dresser also had an owners only sign. The half of the master closet that wasn't locked was filled with construction materials, an old fan, paint rollers, etc. There was construction scraps under the bunk beds. There was a broken screen door on the balcony. The washer and dryer was blocked by dirty mops and brooms and buckets that fell out on you when you opened the door. Shower door in the master was missing and replaced with a cheap dirty plastic shower curtain inside the door frame so it was way to close to you.

Stayed Jun 2, 2025Dirty and needs maintenance. Dirty socks in the bunk bed. Broken couch. Construction materials and old paint rollers in the closet. Couldn't even hang up clothes. Shower door was missing and a cheap plastic liner hung inside the shower instead. Bathroom sink was painted and it was chipping off. Wi-Fi info was not accurate. Vacasa staff helped with a few issues (clean bedding, Wi-Fi) and got us a partial credit. But it was still not worth what we paid. Would not recommend this unit at all.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The place needs a good fresh coat of paint, it’s coming off at a lot of places. There was toothpaste still left on sink in bedroom. But the worse was, it rained all weekend which caused a leak in the bedroom right above the bed. I contacted Vacasa and they were to reach out to the building/owner to have it fixed that day. It wasn’t. Bedsheet, comforter were soaked. Had plastic bins on the bed to catch the drips.
