Coastal Getaway with Pool, Hot Tub, and a Short Walk to the Beach

Just the right size for our family of five. Showers had good pressure, always appreciated. Kitchen was well equipped.

Quick walk to the beach. Great room. Especially appreciated the washer/dryer after all our swimming.

Iim sure padre escapes manages several properties but if you want walking distance do not stay in the yellow condos. It’s at least 20 mins to walk and you walk in busy streets .. they say no canopies , I even texted host they said no canopies.. This is not a private beach , it was filled with canopies... I was not happy with the false advertising of short walk and no canopies... totally untrue. So be prepared for a drive to the beach and take your canopy... they did have a nice pool. Thank goodness. We’d stay here again knowing what I know now but would not be my first choice. I like the beach ti be close.

Reviewer Comments: This is our second time renting the Beach Bum Retreat, first time was just ok a little disappointed in the overall condition but decided to give it another chance. Suggestions, update ALL light bulbs, the bathroom was the only room that had decent lights. Furniture needs a good cleaning and the full size bed headboard was not attached to the bed. Just minor things, the location is fantastic and the folks at Padre Escapes are the best!!!

Enjoyed everything about the condo. It was clean, easy to check in and out. Did not go to pool due to cold, rainy weather but this is 2nd time staying at this location and it didn't disappoint. Even had last minute friends join on same property, different condo and they loved it as well!

Reviewer Comments: Nice condo, no issues with it, however the instructions for how to operate the TV weren't available so we had to call for someone to come over and show us how to turn it on since simply pushing the power button did not work. Also, the access card to the pool & gym was hidden behind the front door. We had to call to locate it. But other then the kids in the unit above us stomping around at all hours of the day & night it was it was a pleasant stay.

Reviewer Comments: It was ok, there were cockroaches in the house, no lights in the master if I wanted the fan on, the dining room light was so dim we had to bring a living room lamp over to use, the outside chairs were very unsafe to sit in and left flaked yellow paint on you, and the bathtubs were very slippery, I had to put a towel down on the inside of the tub so as to not slip.
