Welcome to Illume, a stylish, modern condo with 2 BR/ 2 BA, a pool, gym, and gorgeous balcony views of downtown in the BEST location! It is a short walk to Nashville’s popular spots, Downtown, the Gulch, Music Row, 12th South, and a short drive to Midtown or East Nashville. Decorated in mid-century modern, this newly renovated condo sleeps 6. Relax by the pool or have morning coffee on the balcony with amazing views, as you plan the day. The city’s best right at your door! :)

We paid special attention to every little detail of this space to make it stylish and interesting, but to give our guests a little taste of Nashville, and of us... a couple who has stayed in vacation rentals worldwide since 1996. What we have done with our condo is what we have come to expect in a short-term vacation rental. Upon first entering, the feeling is one of comfort and curiosity as you discover all of the unique art on the walls, and the special touches that make this place our own. The Nashville photos were taken by a friend of ours who lives here. The Johnny Cash photos were taken by a famous local photographer to the stars -he`s a friend and such a character. The photos in the second bathroom are from our personal travels, and the frog... well, the frog is a favorite of Kim`s and comes from our home. The same goes for the record wall, just a sampling of Kevin`s vinyl selection at home. Every piece in this home means something to us & we hope that special attention to detail makes your stay comfortable and wonderful!

We`re also city dwellers who like to be close to the action, which is why we are offering this particular location. When we travel, we love to feel part of a neighborhood and to feel like we are living like locals. Three of Nashville`s awesome neighborhoods — The Gulch, 12th South and of course, downtown — are within walking distance of our space. East Nashville is short Uber or Lyft ride away. Each area is filled with small shops, bars and eateries that we enjoy and are sure you will too. Our space is also close to some of our favorite live music haunts like the Cannery, Mercy Lounge and High Watt Lounge. If jazz is your thing, Nashville`s premier live jazz club, Rudy`s Jazz Room, is also a short walk away. If you like cigars. Montecristo Cigar Bar is minutes away on foot. Ask for Hutch, he will set you straight on cigars and drinks. Check out our guidebook for our favorite places to eat and drink. Speaking of adult beverages, one of Nashville`s biggest and most diverse liquor, beer, and wine stores, Frugal MacDougal, is just a short walk away. Lastly, Joyride Nashville, which offers a diverse range of party experiences & sightseeing tours for every age group, is located beside our building. Yes, heading downtown on a party bus is as easy as walking to the next-door building. Enjoy the city!

We are less than half a mile from the Gulch and a little over a mile to Broadway. It is a great, walkable area. The location and proximity to the popular Nashville neighborhoods truly does not get much better than this.

Uber / Lyft are a perfect way to tour around our stunning and friendly city. You are steps away from the Gulch and less than a mile from the Music City Center.

This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $500 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $40 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $2 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.

    The place was conveintly located. We could walk almost everywhere we wanted to go. The neighborhood was quiet and seemd safe. There is a highway right by and the traffic sounds were fairly loud. The place was well stocked except for kleenex, sufficient hangers and body wash. They need to step up with their cleaning. The floors were dirty with noticeable crumbs and even a fake fingernail. The walls in the bathroom were dirty and the shower floors needed to be cleaned better (hair in the drain). It was really a very nice place and if this issure could be attended to it would be great.

    We were very pleased with this VRBO. Location was perfect and close enough for walking but also convenient if using your car or drive share. Free parking was a plus for us. The bedrooms were comfortable and we had our own bathrooms. We highly recommend and would stay here again.

    Nothing to do with the apartment, which was very nice except we never could get the TV to work. Aside from that, when I made the booking I got a “payment submitted” email only to be told VRBO had only taken their fee. I subsequently received notification that I hadnt paid for the actual reservation and wasted 30 minutes on the phone with a VRBO rep who was unable to help me make an additional payment. It was beyond annoying and something I've never run into before. Luckily the property manager was a great help and we got it straightened out but VRBO should have taken the full payment from the start.

    Overall we were pleased but small things were an annoyance- my sink in the bathroom would not drain, the trash can is missing the step on pedal to open, there were a variety of places that need paint touched up and fresh caulking is needed in the guest shower. Not getting check in info until 2 hours before it too stressful-

    All the amenities you need in a very clean apartment within walking distance of all that the Gulch offers. Be aware that garbage pickup is at 3AM on Wednesday and you will hear every bin get emptied.

    We had a very nice stay here. Overall 5 stars. The property does not look great on the outside when you pull up. But the room looked nice, exactly as pictured. The pros are: communication with property managers was really good, and there was covered and secure parking. The cons were a broken trash can, and we had a hard time keeping the bedrooms cool.
