Chateau by the Bay, Close to Restaurants and Bars, Walk to the Gulf or Bay- W209

The building is older, but some updating had been done. Good price and location.

Chateau by the Bay was a relaxing stay. The property was clean and well maintained and the unit furnished well. Morning coffee off the balcony was nice looking over the bay. We did have some issues with noisy neighbors below us for the first two nights, but that was taken care of by the local authorities. The only issue was after booking a property we received an email later, stating there was a glitch in the system, and that we owed more money. Overall very pleasant experience and we would visit again.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay and would stay here again. All the furnishings were in excellent condition and very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony looking out over the bay as we drank our morning coffee and again in the evening after beach time. We both are 74 but the short walk to the beach was no problem. We started to walk to Peg Leg Pete’s but decided to drive since it was about 95 degrees. About the only thing I would add to the unit we stayed in is a ceiling fan on the balcony, but even without one, we spent several hours enjoying the view. We will remember our stay here with a smile on our faces.

The condo is nice. The stairs leading up to condo are a bit narrow, be careful as the steps aren’t very deep. The condo is very comfy with a nice kitchen if you want to cook in it. The view of bay is very pretty. You may want to bring a blanket or throw to have on the couch, or maybe it’s just me who enjoys to cover my legs while watching TV. The place is very cozy and quaint. Would stay again. Very quick walk to the beach! Nice area!!!

It was so nice to be personally greeted! The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything needed. We loved the location and would definitely stay there again!

Great for the price. View of the bay was beautiful. Nice clean apartment. There are no laundry facilities on site. Closest one was beach laundry. There are stairs to climb and we did not see any elevators so take that into account if needed. It’s an easy walk to the beach across the street. There is a beach access down just a little ways but not directly across from the unit. We had a nice stay.

Arrival was easy and had a sweet lady named Sam meet us at the condo to let us know where to park and the amenities around us. Condo was perfect for us and the patio has an amazing view of the water. We will definitely be vacationing here again. Great communication with owners/management.

The location was super. The bay view relaxing. The condo well equipped and very clean. Small but decorated with style. Loved the terrace balcony. It was perfect to relax and see the white sand ocean. Will definite consider another stay. Angela

Really clean, well appointed condo generally. The location is perfect for the beach, walks to town and walks to Peg Leg Pete‘s. Very quiet building off Ft Picken‘s Road- cannot hear road traffic. Our balcony had a nice view of the sound of Santa Rosa. Be aware that, although the listing claims a dryer , there is no dryer.. or washing machine. The laundromat down the road is available but parking is tight. (And who wants to be in a laundromat on vacation?) The promised in person meeting upon our arrival did not happen., but we managed fine.

Nice place for our winter getaway. Just enough room for the two of us. Just what we needed.

Very nice, peaceful and quiet. Nice view of the bay from the balcony. Beach was closer than we thought, easy walk. Beach was really pretty, both water and sand.

We’ve stayed here several times and it’s perfect for us. Because we’ve been here before I did not read that this unit W209 does not have a washer and dryer. My fault. We just hung our towels and suits to dry. We will definitely stay at Sand Dollar again. We love it here.
