The property is lovely but has not been kept up. Appliances are old. Mattress was very uncomfortable. Dishwasher was difficult to work with no instructions or dishwasher detergent. Air conditioning did not work. The check in instruction were confusing and contradictory and we ultimately had to contact property managers to get the correct door codes. There was a major construction project next door beginning at 7am each day. It was fine, but We were not forewarned about the disruption.
Pleasant place, nice deck and small yard/patio. Big rooms/open space.
Enjoyed the location, privacy, and all around charm of this 1 brdm unit. Definitely will book this again for my next visit. For a single person or couple this spot is prime.
This unit is perfectly located within walking distance to everything in PTOWN
Nice spot. Great location, very close to Fine Arts Work Center. Enjoyed ourselves. Very comfortable.
The place is comfortable and charming. It was immaculate when we walked in, and it's the perfect size for two people, with a homey feeling. I liked the open space and the well-equipped kitchen with new cabinets and appliances. It's in a great location, walking distance to basically anywhere one needs to go in town. We had a pleasant stay and I would recommend the place to anyone, but I also will point out a few things that didn't bother me much but can be an issue to others: The walls are paper thin. I could hear the upstairs occupant as if they were inside my bedroom at night. At least they were quiet. I think I annoyed them more than the other way around. The smoke detector in the bedroom is right above your head when you lay down in the bed, and it has an always-on green light. Someone sensitive to light may have trouble falling asleep. The building's front door knob needs to be replaced. Whenever we had to go out, it felt like the knob would detach from the door, and locking it was a bit hard. The e-lock in the apartment's front door is a bit challenging too. It takes a while to get used to locking it and unlocking it, as you're coming in. The bathroom needs a floor mat. We walked out of the shower wetting the whole floor. The place needs more towels and beach towels. There was only one beach towel available. The place also needs a fan. It has a heater and air conditioner in the bedroom but a fan circulating the sea breeze would make the place more charming. These are minor nuisances that should not detract from anyone's enjoyment of their vacation, but fixing these details can make a good place great.
This is a lovely place with a great back porch were you can eat and enjoy the weather. I enjoyed my stay there very much.
Blumen House could not have been in a better location. The space is terrific, perfect for a single or couple staying in Provincetown. This said, from poor communication from Vacasa to cleaning blunders to unresolved problems with the unit, we felt that we would have been better served by staying elsewhere. Though our check-in time was for 4:00 pm, after that time Vacasa started sending annoying, automated text messages saying that we could check into the room early. This was super unnecessary. Once we arrived at the unit we realized that the door look wasn’t functioning and immediately called Vacasa. Though we were there for a week, despite the firm and local manager’s promise to remedy the situation, the lock was never fixed. It presented a serious security issue. There’s a lockbox with a key for the building’s front door, but we were never informed of its existence until being locked out of the building and calling Vacasa at 10 pm on a Saturday night. There should be a guide — in print — for the unit. None exists. There was a sewer emergency in Provincetown while we were there. A day into the problem, I learned through my own searching that the unit was not on the affected sewer system. Vacasa should have been in touch with information. We never heard from them. The cleaning crew left an unwashed load of towels in the washer, which we wound up dealing with. The unit’s deck is fine, but the back patio is an unpleasant mess of overgrown plants, weeds, and brush: there was nothing appealing about it. The living room sofa is outdated and uncomfortable. The washer/dryer has seen better days, and the oven is in need of calibration. For the price we paid to stay in Blumen House, I expect better maintenance, furnishings, and service than what we received. As much as we liked the location, I’m not at all sure we would stay at Blumen House — or any other Vacasa property — again.
This spacious apartment has a sweet back garden with deck plus flagstones, flowers and vine-covered old tree. Law Street is quiet but right around the corner from the Fine Art Work Center and all the galleries and restaurants. The bedroom is graciously sized, and there's plenty of room for two writers to work, with breakfast on the deck. I was so grateful to find this gem.
This beautiful place is right off Commercial St and yet very quiet. It is tastefully decorated in an eclectic slightly shabby chic manner, yet with a luxurious kitchen and bathroom. The back deck is divine for reading, lounging and eating dinner. We’ll be back, for sure.
I have rented multiple properties through VRBO in Provincetown and previously had very good experiences. Blumen House was a notable exception. Upon arrival the keyed door to the building was very difficult to open. The door to our unit had a 10 digit key pad that didn't work. Luckily there was also a key which was extremely difficult to operate. Only one set of keys for two tenants was provided. The air conditioning in the unit did not work. The dishwasher was full of dirty dishes. The deck was covered in dried leaves and vines that appeared to be from the fall and winter despite it being mid-July. Exiting the deck to the patio was nearly impossible due to the weeds that covered the steps. Waist high weeds were growing between the slabs of the patio. I immediately called Vacasa about the issues at 4pm on Saturday. They indicated a local manager would be in contact in 15 minutes. When an hour passed I began calling again which resulted in lots of people just telling and texting me to be patient. The first actual contact from a local manager didn't happen until 10:00 am on Sunday. In the meantime, I had to go to a local hardware store to have a second set of keys made. The local agent was helpful and provided a window air conditioner and cleaned the deck. The next day she was back to cut the weeds. Lock was never fixed and air conditioning was also not fixed so we had air in the bedroom but not in the rest of the unit. After getting the run around from Vacasa after returning home they did refund the cleaning fee and key replacement. I would not rent through Vacasa ever again.
Law St. was perfect location, quiet street, parking, close to everything, bike rack for bikes. Place was very clean, kitchen had all one needed. Deadbolt tricky and should be replaced. Living room could use more comfortable furniture. Nice back deck. Nice big, bright bedroom. Overall a good place to stay for 2 people in Provincetown!
The location could not have been better. And parking is always a huge plus in Provincetown. Great little kitchen and bathroom with fabulous shower. The only thing that could be improved is the comfort of the couch in the sitting area. Overall, I had a wonderful five night stay.
