Fun family ski trip to Angel Fire. Condo was close to the lift (walkable or shuttle). Easily accommodated our family of 8. Garage was great as a staging area for ski's/boards and other gear. Thanks for a great time, we look forward to coming back again
Clean, quiet, and beautiful.
Unclean sheets, blankets, bathrooms, microwave, fridge/freezer, etc. Shower door fell on person during shower. Expressed concerns went mostly unanswered. Will not be back.
The place was adequately stocked. Heated up easily ( once you figure out all the different heating elements…would be nice to have clearer directions on them). Beds were comfy and a ton of extra sleeping space for a large group. Check out was easy.
The dining room chairs need to be reupholster, we play games and eat at the table. The chairs were very uncomfortable and so was one of the couches, it leans to much to the back and you need fans in all the bedrooms.
We loved our stay at this beautiful and spacious condo! Each room was impeccably clean and decorated tastefully. We couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect location, just steps away from the ski lifts and gear rental. The living room was the perfect place to relax after a long day on the slopes. Kitchen had everything we needed to feel at home, with a convenient grocery store a few blocks away plus, delicious pizza (right across the street), for takeout. We would highly recommend this condo for your next family/friends ski trip, we had an absolute blast and made lifelong memories here in this incredible condo. 5 stars! Don’t hesitate to book!
Our first winter/white Christmas family vacation. Loved the home location, being centrally located amidst activity. Believe the hydrate warnings, adjusting to the altitude kicked our tail. Only 1 of 8 had ever been skiing, so I t was a new adventure each day. My husband didn’t ski (dr orders) but he would walk out our door & catch the shuttle to go hang with grandkids at bunny slope. Also, the pizza at Pizza Stop was delicious & burgers at Legends Grill was great (both little pricey). Masks were required at most places. We did encounter friendly people everywhere.
The Good:1. Location is great. Easy access to ski shops, slopes, pizza.2. Water pressure in 2nd floor bathroom is great.3. Mattresses were comfortable.4. The empty garage for our vehicle and the shelf unit for our skis, boots, poles and snowboard was great. So glad we didn't have to haul all of it into the condo.5. Square footage comfortably held 6 adults. The Not So Good:1. Two dishwasher tablets supplied for a 4-night stay, and you are required to use one on the morning you leave to wash the remaining dirty dishes. How cheap is that?2. Two rolls of paper towels supplied when you are using them for dishtowels and napkins.3. One half of a dirty kitchen sponge supplied.3. Upstairs gets very hot even with windows open.4. Closets are small open spaces.5. All pictures are deceiving. The spaces depicted are much smaller than they appear. The bathrooms have a 2-foot walkway between the sink and the wall. It is very narrow.6. Downstairs bathroom has a strange looking rattan-like chair in it. Strange especially seeing how small the space is. We put the trash can on it to keep it out of the already barely navigable walkway. 7. Lots of electrical extension cords everywhere. A little concerning considering the electrical issues noted under The BAD below. Also, unsure of how the New Mexico fire code for short-term rentals would view these extension cords in common use throughout the condo.8. The key to the outside door is difficult to operate. 9. The shared condo foyer was filthy. My husband looked in the window, and I could tell by his reaction he was very concerned about what we would find further inside. 10. The fireplace uses wood. There is no wood supplied. We arrived at the condo and had to go to the store for firewood and then had to scrounge around outside the condo for twigs, pine needles, and pinecones for pieces small enough to start a fire. The logs we purchased in a bag at the store were too large to actually start the fire. Thank God my future son-in-law was with us as he is an avid outdoorsman who has built many fires. He knew just what to do. The condo description did not identify that wood, etc., would not be supplied. I actually called 3 days before our arrival because I got a letter specifically stating that if we had questions about the fireplace, we should call Vacasa. I called and was told that the condo probably supplied the wood, but she would check with the local contact and call me back. I never heard back from Vacasa. The BAD:1. Upstairs bathroom light goes on and off without the light switch. Sounds like an electrical issue.2. Wall outlets in downstairs bedroom do not all work. Behind bedside table only one outlet worked and only for a single bulb lamp and cell phone. It will not charge an IPAD. Again, an electrical issue. 3. Silverware was filthy. After opening the drawer and seeing the dirty silverware holder and then unclean silverware, we washed everything! Not exactly how you want to spend your first night of your ski vacation especially when you have a $175 fee for cleaning. (Empty water bottle behind nightstand in downstairs bedroom a minor issue considering the silverware.)4. The entire condo is heated with multiple space heaters. If you are concerned with the use of both electric and gas space heaters, this condo is not for you. Additionally, there are NO DIRECTIONS on how to operate them. Personally, I don't own a home with electric and gas space heaters. While I can turn on an electrical space heater, I had no idea what to do with the gas heater. While I called the contact, Lea with Vacasa, my husband and the boys figured it out. Good thing, as the evenings were in the ones and below zero at times. It was cold. Vacasa never returned my call. The recording said she was on duty until 5:30pm. I called just before 5pm saying we didn't know how to operate...
My two adult sons and I enjoyed a long weekend together and this property was perfect. We each had our own floor for sleeping, it was quiet, clean, and conveniently located to the Enchanted Circle Drive, Taos, and River Run. We enjoyed two restaurants across the street, for delicious pizza and the Mikuna Grill had the best Chile rellenos we have ever eaten. The few questions we had about the property were promptly answered by the manager. The only thing that was misleading was the description of there being two parking spaces, one being the garage. After trying both keys several times, looking for an opener, trying to find directions, we found out it is private and only used for the owner. Other than that, it was great. Thanks again. We hope to come back to the area again and take advantage of the fishing.
House was excellent! The only issue we encountered at all was there was more stairs than we had anticipated. For everyone except my elderly mom it was not an issue at all! We just maneuver Around it. We were so thankful there was one bedroom and one bathroom on the main floor!
