PRO-Fantastic location and recently updated. Loved the pool and dock. CON-Was a bit confusing to find the unit at 1AM and door code didn’t work. 2/3 of the patios do not have furniture, would of enjoyed to use them.
Great location to hiking, rafting and restaurants. They unit had plenty of room for the 4 of us.
The complex was nice. The unit was horrible. Upstairs bathroom leaked whenever used and dripped on downstairs dining room. Unit was dated and filthy. Water wasnt working when we arrived. Had to call maintenance to fix water and back door wouldnt lock. Rented unit to sleep 7 people. Had to deal with only 1 working shower for a week. Was only offered a $ 250 credit on a week stay for all the issues.. would not suggest anyone renting this unit..
Part of this review is due in part to the fact that I’m from the East Coast and it didn’t even occur to me to check for air-conditioning in the amenities. I just assumed everywhere had air-conditioning in this day and age. However, that is not the case here. We came on an unprecedentedly the hot weekend and got no relief from the outside heat. We did a lot of outdoor activities and would come home drenched, then shower, only to get no relief from the heat. At least it cooled down at night outside and we could sleep with all of the windows wide open. The house was just so hot. Even the ceiling fan in the master bedroom was not very powerful and had little relief. There was one box fan that we used. That said, my main complaint is the carpeting on the stairs was absolutely filthy! I was afraid to take off my shoes. Just so dirty and black stains of which I have no idea what they could be. I just can’t believe you can’t clean carpets in between visits. Other than that the place was adequately outfitted, plenty of things in the kitchen for cooking, the leather furniture was still in pretty good shape. But you could definitely tell that the place needed updates and was worn with age. The pictures online obviously make it look like a fairytale gorgeous mountain retreat and it is not all that. The showers were extremely awkward to get in and out of. Master bath extremely small! Check in and check out was super easy codes all worked, communication was completely open and whenever I texted I was answered immediately. The pool was beautiful. It’s location to Kings Beach and a little town right there was perfect so we just walked everywhere. If I hadn’t been so shocked with the heat and no air-conditioning I may have enjoyed my stay much better.
Downstairs neighbor was inappropriately and disrespectfully asking us to stop talking and walking at 730 pm. It was illogical and weird. Bathroom towels were wet and used. The rest was perfect
We enjoyed our stay at this property. It had a good location and and some nice amenities (pool, tennis, near lake, etc). We enjoyed our stay! A few negatives were: 1. The check in process - the gate code didn't work for us and it was a little confusing getting in (the gates were open the whole next day so I wonder if there was an issue with the gates the day we came in) 2. The apartment - master bathroom was missing the ceiling fan (there was a hole there instead). House didn't have much lighting. The mattress was lumpy. House in general was creaky.
When you walk into this property you’ll begin to realize that everything is still the same as it was 20 years ago. It really needs updating. The price sort of reflects that!
Great place in a fantastic complex! Just a few notes, three balconies, but only one had usable furniture. Clean!
Property availability was cancelled due to ongoing construction. Alternative property was required with in increased cost of $700. I had booked 2 properties to cover the entire family that was visiting. I had no choice to book a more expensive place at last minute. Very disappointed.
The place was great. A few issues that need to be dealt with. We were told to pick up key with front desk. Key was in lock box on front door. Needed a code for gate. Code only worked after 4pm. There was a fab in the house you needed for gate. House floors were dirty. Needed furniture moved and cleaned really good. Had to buy light bulbs for kitchen. Entire place was dark with poor lighting. Bathroom fan was missing. Steel box view in ceiling. Heater in bedroom next to bunk room did not work. A little more upkeep and place would be fantastic.
