We wanted to like this place as it had very nice amenities, a stocked kitchen with cooking utensils and a great view out back. However, the front bedroom had a smell of what we thought was cigarette smoke. Maintenance came by and sprayed the room but that smell was so strong that it ultimately made that room useless. We went back in the room and noticed black stuff on the ceiling vents. Not sure if it was mold but that black stuff likely created the odor that we were smelling. We informed maintenance again but they didn't even clean the vents, nor make a return follow up. Thus, we ceased use of the room, which was frustrating since we paid for a 3-bedroom and was only able to use 2. On top of that, they CONTROLLED the thermostat. We were not able to turn the heat on at all. We stayed on an unusually cold weekend in October with a coastal storm that caused rain almost the entire trip. Yet we woke up to temperatures inside in the sixties and cold not heat the place up. Furthermore, there was a fireplace that we were not allowed to use, even though nothing was written in the listing, nor was there anything documented in the condo. To make things even more confusing, there was a STARTER log in the fireplace. Why would you place a starter log in the fireplace if the renter could not use it? Sadly to say, we will not rent here again.

If you don't mind roaches crawling on the walls and in the beds, and if you're ok with the dishwasher leaking across the kitchen floor every time it runs, then this property could be ok for you.Vacasa was just horrible. They did nothing about the roaches but apologize and lie (they said the place is treated every two months, but the Orkin card shows last treatment in January of 2025). I will not rent another Vacasa property. In addition to lying about pest control, they got the dates wrong for the stay on the welcome package (this required another phone call to figure out). They sent a message that late check out was available, but when I tried the same day to purchase I was told late checkout was no longer available. I just really have nothing nice to say about Vacasa The property itself was a bit meh. The pickle ball courts were in good shape but they close at 6, which is way too early. The pool was closed for the season even though temps were in the 70s and 80s. The condo needs some repairs, including a dangerous rotten step on the back porch. It has most utensils you need, but the kitchen is extremely small and hard to cook in. And the dishwasher leaking was really annoying. The mattresses were not supportive, so if you weigh more than about 150 you're going to be uncomfortable. I love Hilton Head and would have stayed another week or two, but not in this property.

Great condo. Great location. Great week. No complaints. We've stayed all over sea pines in the past. We usually stay closer to the beach, and have never been this close to the gate. I actually really loved the proximity to Harris teeter. Made it super convenient if you needed to run to the store for this or that. And the bike trail is still there; So we were able to bike all over sea pines just like usual. The screened in porch by the lagoon was perfection.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sea Pines-Carolina Place on Hilton Head Island. Our favorite was the screened in porch and watching the wildlife glide by, be it birds, turtles or alligators. The beds were comfortable. The kids loved the pool but it wasn’t heated and the hot tub was out of order. The TVs were very small by today’s standards but the WiFi was good. The dishwasher didn’t work and we needed to wash dishes by hand. Mgmt responded after 3 days with attempting to fix it but it ended up leaking on the floor. Further mgmt discussions weren’t answered. The washer and dryer worked great. There was minimal toilet paper and we didn’t have enough for our week stay. We rented bikes and enjoyed the nature preserve next door. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful location next to Forest Preserve. Loved the glass sliding doors opening on to the back screen porch and deck overlooking the lagoon. Felt enclosed by nature'- wild swamp life, herons, egrets and a full moon - reviving a sense of wonder and awe.

Overall there was nothing spectacular about this house besides the view. The kitchen is small and understocked, and working with Vacasa to get a second kitchen trash bag for my one week stay with my family was handled poorly, with me feeling like I was being made fun of by the Vacasa staff. The cleanliness was a mess after you take a second to look. Items left by previous guests (including acrylic nails *in* the linens) dust on vents, and hair ties all around. Aside from that the TVs are old and inappropriate for the space. The sound is crinkly at low volumes. Overall I’m completely underwhelmed for what we paid.

The place was as advertised in pictures. Our condo was not thoroughly cleaned when we arrived. Hair in the bathrooms from the previous guests. Roaches in the kitchen and in the loft bedroom the whole week of stay. The pullout couch was dirty under the cushions lots of food and crumbs were left from who knows how long. The beds were comfortable and the condo very well stocked with starter supplies and amenities.
