Stayed Jun 25, 2023The location was perfect (minutes from Manteo, Cape Hatteras, and Nags Head). The property was great. My kids loved the pool! The condo was average, at best. First, the cleanliness: When we arrived, we found several half-empty beer bottles filled with cigarette butts and empty cigarette packs on the balcony. Then, when we went to put our kids to bed we noticed the sheets were dirty (several hairs and stains); same for our bed. We called the property mgr's 24hr line and they brought us new sheets. Secondly, the condo itself: The condo had what we needed, and we were mostly comfortable, but it was in disrepair. There was a general lack of upkeep throughout (nothing a couple hundred bucks and a weekend couldn't fix). We would definitely stay at this development again; but for this unit, I'd bring my own cleaning supplies.

Stayed Apr 3, 2023Pirates Cove is a great location, but unfortunately for this rental unit the bad out weighed the good. Here's why.... THE BAD: 1. Strong mildew smell throughout house - called staff to have the house sprayed 2. Roach in kitchen 3. Shower head didn't work properly and sometimes not at all 4. Dirty towel left on master bedroom sink 5. Crack in tile on kitchen floor not repaired 6. Hard to see out of living room windows, need replacements 7. Place needs updating THE GOOD: 1. Nice water views 2. Comfy beds 3. Nice floor plan 4. Conveniently located 5. Wonderful attentive staff We would come to Pirates Cove again, due to the location and amenties, but we would stay at a different unit next time.

Stayed Apr 14, 2022This is a wonderfully furnished comfortable two bedroom home in a very nice neighborhood. Had all the comforts for a family of 4 and a small dog to feel at home while away from Home. Dinner plates, Cups, Wine glasses, TV, netflix, board games, books, Good bedsheets, linens, etc. Some small maintenance issues such as loose floor tiles in the kitchen and torn porch screens did not bother us and management was notified of it. Overall we were fully satisfied and would recommend this home to anyone.
