This penthouse home, serviced by an elevator, sits at the edge of the Pacific Ocean so there are NO obstructions to the beauty of the water, the shore and sunsets, the surfers, and the soothing sounds of the waves and surf.
A spacious modern living room hosts ocean views, a large smart flat screen TV, and comfortable seating to soak it all in. A comfortable dining room with seating for 6 is accompanied by a modern kitchen, with large kitchen island (great for working remote or a snack bar!), includes everything you need to create meals and snacks for everyone at any time.
The master king bedroom has a stunning ocean view, a ceiling fan to keep you comfortable, and a bath with a large walk-in shower. There is also a queen guest bedroom with a shared hallway bath. Both bedrooms have portable AC units (PARTIAL AC), easily available in the home for your use, should you desire cooler days or nights. Both mattresses in the bedrooms are soft and the sleeper sofa mattress is firm.
Additional amenities include a washer and dryer for your convenience, WIFI, and cable and a garage parking space.
This home is a treasure if you want to experience sweeping ocean views and be able to observe all the delights the Pacific Ocean offers right in front of you. Oh, and those beautiful sunsets - breathtaking! Sit on top of the world watching the ocean come alive with all of its motions and sea life.

This property will allow up to 5 adults, or up to 6 with children in the mix. We ask that you please ensure your group fits this dynamic before booking.
No smoking is allowed inside or outside any of our properties � NO EXCEPTIONS!
There is no outside area to this rental so there is also no BBQ available.
There is an elevator and wheelchair access to this home�but there may be stairs to the beach, so it may not be appropriate for everyone.
This HOA community requires masks be worn at all times outside of your rental (including all common areas).
This historic building does not have central AC but portable units are available for use in the bedrooms.
This home is located in a quiet neighborhood and is only suitable for quiet groups. Our rental agreement includes a NO tolerance policy regarding excessive noise, occupancy, and/or parties. Deposit forfeitures and/or evictions are strictly enforced. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting with us.
This home is equipped with exterior surveillance & decibel meters, as required by local city noise ordinance.
Parking notes: There is one space available within the closed garage and one space is permitted outside the individual garage door tandem. The garage is shallow (6ft height MAX, 8ft width); no lifted cars or large trucks will fit. Any height is OK outside the garage, as this is uncovered, but cannot exceed 20ft in length. Overnight street parking is also permitted.

This was one of my very favorite VRBO stays. A unit that offers the ultimate in relaxation. You had the option of sitting with the crowds on the beach or staying in your unit and both were equally beautiful. Meals,if eatten out, were a block away and morning walks were bliss. We will be back!
The condo is ideally located and the views of the water are absolutely magnificent. The condo was well stocked with kitchen and other essentials. We loved it, and would recommend it to anyone visiting LaJolla!
The most beautiful, peaceful view of Playa Del Norte. Easy access to the beach, food, entertainment etc.

We just completed a four night stay as a family for 4 (14 and 11) and couldn’t have been more pleased. The view of windansea and the location can’t be beat. It’s incredible. The hosts were tremendously thoughtful and the condo is extremely organized and super clean. The parking spot in the garage is super convenient and the surrounding neighborhood is beautiful. We enjoyed cafe vahlik up the street for great coffee and a quick great breakfast a few days. Hope to be back soon!

This beach house is perfect for a family of four or two couples. It is located in the penthouse of a residential building with amazing views of the ocean, sunset and people watching. The front oceanside and north side of the home is a wall of floor to ceiling windows. The check in process was easy and the property manager was prompt to answer any questions. We could walk to local places to eat and pick up groceries. You really do not need a rental car, if you don't mind walking a little bit. The home is fully stocked with high quality linens and beach towels. The owner has left air conditioning units that really are not required but good to have as an option. The Internet was great for working from home. Check out was easy too. We will definitely make this our go to La Jolla rental.
We were spied on by owner and harassed by property manager. We rented this unit because our son was getting married on the beach during our stay. We had some family meet us there one night for one glass of wine for 1/2 on hour the night before going out to dinner. While at the restaurant the property manager called me on my cell complaining about the noise (we had seriously stood chatting, NO party atmosphere) and the LARGE crowd! (There was 5 people over the allotted 6) She told me ONLY 6 people are ever allowed in the apartment at one time, that we are literally not allowed ANY guests visiting!! My son had also brought his hypoallergenic service dog for the visit and she said the owner demanded she be removed immediately, even though I assured her she was not staying with us. My husband and I travel extensively and usually leave places better than when we arrive and we own our own short term rental as well so know how to treat guests. We have never been treated so badly and felt so un-welcomed before this. Not only was it very uncomfortable afterwards staying there, but they don't provide anything... They literally have 6 coffee makers and don't provide one bean or pod! No coffee, no tissue, no napkins, no robes absolutely nothing in the fridge, and lots of empty cabinets. The ONLY reason to stay there is the view, which can't be beat.
Sad to leave. Our vacation was perfect! The location was perfect, beyond comfortable, love the layout of the condo. The views from the huge windows are incredible. Coffe in the mornings was my favorite part. Beach was great, the neighborhood was beautiful. Love the Cafes, Valley Farm, and restaurants within walking distance. The Art and Wine fest was a nice surprise. Thanks for a great stay. We will be back.

Relaxing family getaway, even with teenagers! Breathtaking views from this unit may be the best in southern CA! I loved that our teenagers could watch TV with the owner-provided wireless headphones so we could enjoy watching the surfers in peace! One of our teens slept in the second bedroom, and the other opted for the sleeper sofa in the main room (very comfortable). Floor-to-ceiling windows can warm the living room in the afternoon, but we lowered the sunshades, cracked open the lower sliding windows and stayed comfortable. Both bedrooms had AC to keep cool. This unit is beautifully furnished and so inviting! Kitchen had everything we needed. I would move in if I could...
Great family vacation. Ideal location. Beautifully furnished and well stocked for parents and young kids: beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, laundry, and stuffed animals to adopt. How nice. We were worried about the lower windows, but they have metal screens to keep young ones safe. Beautiful beach for walks and never got too crowded. Enjoyed walking to Cafe Vahik, Verdes el Ranchero, and Valley Farm Market. We will be back.
