**The Recreation Deck on the 6th floor will be closed for renovation from April 7, 2025, for a period of 10 to 14 months. During this time, all facilities on the 6th floor Recreation Deck (including the pool and BBQ area) will be unavailable. Please make your reservation with the understanding that these amenities will not be accessible during your stay.**

This renovated unit was designed by a Japanese interior designer and named the Bird of Paradise. You will feel at home while on vacation in paradise. The living room receives a nice ocean breeze from the lanai which overlooks Waikiki. Conveniently located between Diamond Head and Waikiki's main shopping district, the building is just a short walk into Waikiki for dining, shopping, and entertainment. World-famous Waikiki Beach is just a short walk away. Kapiolani Park, Honolulu Zoo and the Waikiki Aquarium are also a short distance away.

    The location was great. Just a short walk to the beach and right around the corner from shops and restaurants. Parking in the garage is easy and included the price. Apt. is bright and clean and the a/c keeps the entire place cool. Would definitely stay here again.

    Great location, a block from the beach and 5 minute walk to the heart of Waikiki and a great view from the balcony. The swimming pool/BBQ area was set out well, however upcoming renovations/resurfacing to the area will mean this area will be closed for a period of time. There are also plenty of eating options in the area, an ABC convenience store on just about every corner and a bus stop across the road for fast and easy access to Waikiki's famous bus network, if you don't have a car However, if you do have a car, the free car parking was a real value add. The apartment as clean and tidy, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The only downside were the beds, which were really soft and sagged in the middle. Also the managing agents were very helpful and easy to contact if needed.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was a beautiful condo. Very clean and nicely decorated. Nice that they left room for hanging clothes and drawers to put clothes away. Only complaint is there were no beach towels, or any small amenities like a bar of soap in the bathroom like other rentals we have used normally provide. Also could have provided more than 4 towels for a weeks stay. Still a very nice stay.

    It was amazing! The kitchen was perfect to make our meals in and we used it every day. I LOVED sitting on the balcony and didn’t mind one bit the buildings in front of me. I could see the ocean and Diamond head and it was beautiful at twilight and early morning.We were basically 2 big blocks from the beach and we swam everyday in the ocean!There is a city bus system that is easy to use as well as Ubers/lyftsPlenty to see and do. I would come back in a heartbeat.The only thing that I think could be better is the matress needs replacing on o e of the beds and it would be nice if basic spices and a starter set of coffee was available. Otherwise it was great!

    This unit upon entry had 2 of the 3 beds broke and unusable. The doors were detached from the hardware but with my maintenance background, i reattached them. There was ointment and a paper cup under one bed. When i tried to communicate with the Aska Gateway staff they didn't care to respond in a timely manor. After many calls and emails they stopped answering my calls. There was no other accommodations due to the Honolulu Marathon. I ended up sleeping on the floor. Most of the furniture is broken or completely falling apart. I visited two other units while we were here and found that this was an isolated issue with this unit. Never again will i stay here or rent through Aska Gateway.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed here to move our daughter in to UH at Manoa. The space was perfect for the three of us (Four would be ok also, but would have to share the two full size beds). Relatively clean, balcony , you can see the ocean between the buildings, on site mini market and coffee (I went to Starbucks next door first morning after arriving) two blocks from ocean access, tons of ABC stores right close, Safeway just up the road. Very close to great local food, ice cream, and stores. Kitchen appliances pots pans, coffee maker, toaster ETC. did not have any additional cooking condiments not a problem just FYI. We did not use the pool or BBQ's but could see the common space just below the unit from the balcony.Laundry on the same floor, reasonably priced, the app for the laundry was super easy.We plan on staying here again if available when we visit our daughter.Aska Gateway was very responsive with my questions and excellent to work with during the booking and stay.

    Super location with everything one needs. Beach, shops, and restaurants all close. Parking is easy although elevators are not during peak hours. Two little bathroom improvements would be great -- replace the missing corner shelf in the shower and install a curved shower rod to give more room. Even without those, I would stay there again.     Overall had a pleasant stay. Unit clean and had all the ameneties you need. Location.a bonus Onsite pool, bbq ,laundry, and parking was a bonus and made our experience even better. .

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Was a little messy when we arrived (dusty bathroom vent, chandelier) and was super hot. The hide-a-bed (sofa bed) was also not that great. Advice, just pull the mattress off and use on the floor. Wasn’t a fan of having to pay $2 to use the electric BBQ’s on floor six. The television remotes had dead batteries, but that’s ok because we didn’t stick around. Parking was good for a standard rental jeep. Noisy city, but if you want to relax...go to Maui instead. Staff were doing repairs all around; and they mean well. Wish the price was a little lower.would be nice to let adults use hot tub up until 2am. Not all of us are drunk party goer.
