You'll feel right at home in this uniquely decorated and fun large one-bedroom condo. There's no 'standard-issue' furniture or decor in this vintage ski home! Complete with hickory table and chairs and original metal signs from Copper's ski trails, this condo will take the nostalgic Copper fan back in time. For those of you who remember Copper in the 70's, you'll love studying the old aerial photograph of Copper Mountain and the village.

But, please note that if you're looking for luxury or premium accommodations, Summit House is not the condo for you. The building was built in 1973 and has not changed much since. But, if you're looking for a convenient and roomy home for your fully-charged ski vacation, you'll love this unit. Most of our guests love the condo and its location - we have many repeat customers. But those of you who are happiest in upscale, luxury accommodations, then please check out the Cirque or the Cache!

Summit House lodge is located next to Copper Mountain’s lively Center Village and will be the perfect affordable home base for your ski vacation, without the ski-in, ski-out prices! Although you CAN ski-in to the building from the catwalk if it's a great snow year. Come ooooooonnnnnnn Ullr!

This is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom unit, and sleeps 4 very comfortably because it’s a generous 780 square feet. That’s about 200 more square feet than most other one-bedrooms at Copper. The roomy master bedroom has two queen beds and plenty of drawers and closet space for your gear. And, you'll enjoy the bedroom's seating area in front of the huge picture window with a breathtaking view of the famous Sky Chutes.

Unlike most standard condo living rooms, this ski condo has plenty of comfortable seating. You will sprawl out on the large wraparound couch and relax to watch your favorite TV show or movie. There are also two barstools at the kitchen bar, or as we call it - the 'chopping block'. (Is anyone else obsessed with the show, 'Chopped', or is it just us)

If you normally stay in hotel rooms, you'll realize how much money you can save by stopping at Safeway or Walmart for groceries and cooking and preparing your ski-day snacks in your condo. You'll love the fully equipped kitchen with pots, pans, toaster, blender, and bakeware as well as dishware, glassware and utensils. We'll provide the sugar, salt, pepper and coffee filters and sometimes other random items left from previous guests.

The full bathroom offers a double sink vanity for convenience and tub with shower. We’re generous with our paper and soap supplies, so you won't have to make a run to the store to stock up for several days, if at all.

While a guest in this Summit House 'ski cabin' you'll also enjoy:

*Killer view of the Sky Chutes in the Ten Mile Range through new picture windows and from the balcony
*Free Wi-Fi internet access
*Your favorite programs on flat screen TVs in the bedroom and living room
*A convenient elevator or stairway to the third floor
*Coin-operated laundry on the second and fourth floors
*Free assigned covered parking for one car
*Your own ski locker in the lobby

Summit House is just a few minutes from the lifts in the village center, but it’s set back a bit, so it’s away from the noise and bustle of the main village. You can actually walk to the catwalk in one minute and ski down to the Gem lift and take it up, and then ski over to the Super Bee lift. You'll see the logistics in our map, which is the last photo in the group of photos above. Or, you can walk past the parking ramp to the American Eagle lift in 3 minutes.

Although you don't need to drive to get to the lifts, Summit House lodge isn’t far from stops for Copper Village Shuttle. Look for the signs and wait a few minutes with your skis, and you’ll hop on the heated shuttle for free rides to lifts all over Copper Mountain. There is also an on-call shuttle service, the Copper Coach, that will take you door-to-door anywhere in Copper Mountain Resort.

And don't forget the Summit Stage, the county's free bus . This shuttle takes you off Copper Mountain to the Summit County mountain towns of Frisco, Dillon, Silverthorne, Keystone, and Breckenridge. You can hop off the Summit Stage and ski at Breckenridge, and Keystone. Or you can shop in small or large super-stores in Frisco, Dillon, or Silverthorne. You could spend hours or a few minutes finding anything you want in hundreds of quaint shops in Frisco. When you’re ready to get back to Copper, just look for Summit Stage signs and hop on. Totally free. Once you take the free Summit Stage shuttle to Summit County mountain towns, you just might wonder why anyone would bother to drive.

Please note: Check-in time is any time after 4pm. Check-out time is any time before 10am. We are not able to accommodate an early check-in and/or late check-out.

Payment/Cancellation Policy - We require a 50% initial payment to confirm the reservation and the balance is due 60 days before your Arrival Date. If you cancel more than 60 days prior to the Arrival Date, we will send a refund. NO REFUNDS given for cancellations made within 60 days of the reservation. There are no exceptions to this policy. This was an incredible value for the money, and the owner was so helpful and communicative. It's a very short walk to the slopes, well set up, cute and unique decor, comfortable beds and sitting areas, well-stocked kitchen. I will definitely stay here again.

Fine and safe place to stay. Nothing great or outstanding. Old building that gets stuffy in the halls and upstairs with summer heat, no air conditioning, suite we stayed in had comfy couch and descent beds, Some of the pots and pans are very old and all scraped up they need to be changed, it just is so dated related to flooring, cabinets, sinks, beds & bedroom furniture...but fine if not looking for a nice and comfy stay

This condo is so cozy with the fire going and the separate bedroom with all rooms having gorgeous views. We loved all the unique pieces of furniture, The hammered copper breakfast table the old, possible butcher block living room table. Everything was provided for making meals and the location was perfect. We will definitely return, Kristy James

Property was advertised as best value in Central Village and I agree. While it showed it's 70's vintage, the unit was clean, everything worked, it was huge for a one-bedroom and the location is perfect.

Great proximity to Center Village. The unit was clean, bed (one of two but the only one used) was comfortable. Kitchen appeared well stocked although I ate out, so I didn’t use any. TV and internet worked fine. 1970’s ski motif throughout. Plenty of towels and washcloths. Arrival and departure instructions were clear. On the negative side neither smoke detectors worked as they were not connected to the electrical wires in the electrical boxes behind them and both batteries which are supposed to be only backup power were dead. The building elevator has an expired inspection sticker. Toilet was very slow to flush and occasionally did not flush solid waste efficiently. Two bottles of hair shampoo but no body wash or bars of bath soap.

The property is beautiful but this unit needs lots of updating… everything felt old from the worn towels to the vintage cabinets and dishes to the red and gold color scheme. Some of the lamps did not work. BUT Lovely mountain view from windows and very spacious for 2 people. Solid hot water in a retro bath. A good value but just be aware it’s a throwback to another time.

this unit was perfect for the 2 of us, just as described in listing. Very close walk to ski lift. Unit itself was very quiet with lots of kitchen equipment & the covered parking space provided on ground level was convenient. Would definitely stay again!

Comfortable, clean, quiet home as our base for multiple days skiing Copper. Quick walk to the lift and Center Village. Under cover parking and elevator made moving in and moving out easy. Would absolutely stay here again.

Quite dated (furnishings, bedding, bathroom, kitchen, building overall), but clean and easy location - very short walk to Center Village. Bummed we didn't have access to the sauna and there is not a hot tub on premise. Ski lockers on main level and covered parking were nice to have. Instructions on WiFi weren't clear and conflicted between communications -- use the open one!

Totally enjoyed the cool vibe of this condo near the slopes (just a short hike away). Roomy with areas to spread out. Great views from the large windows. Kitchen is well appointed for meals. Super convenient with covered parking, elevator and ski lockers, laundry room and trash chute. Would definitely return.
