Beautifully Updated Three Bedroom Villa on the 11-Mile Lagoon!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived the AC unit was not functioning. It was 80+ degrees inside. We had to call management to address. As they were unable to get the AC company out that day (check in was at 4) we had to make do with a portable unit and box fan. The sliding glass door was incredibly difficult to open and close. We had maintenance come out to try to address midweek as the kids were unable to open/close on their own and some of the adults were struggling to help. While the repair helped to a degree it was still abnormally difficult. The ice maker and water filter on the fridge needed a filter change and the ice maker did not function correctly - we called to report for repair and a bag of ice was brought to the unit. 3/5 for cleanliness. We have rented on HHI every summer and this was our least favorite experience. Check in/out was easy, it was no difficult to reach the helpline, service members who came by the villa were friendly. For the cost of the villa, I expected all components to work on arrival. I spent too many hours of my vacation waiting around for repairs.

Kitchen well equipped excepting tons of very dull knives and no stemless wine glasses both of which we easily purchased nearby. Mostly very clean but some attention was needed to remove fingerprints from walls, light switches and doors. Great gator viewing from back deck!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our week there. We played tennis and pickleball almost every day (yes, both on the same day) and we rented bikes. We were in a great location, a short walk to everything! The villa was beautiful, outfitted with very comfortable beds and a large, well appointed kitchen for cooking. The only problems were the smoke detector in the downstairs bedroom chirped and kept me awake at night and the maintenance crew did not fix it. The supervisor tried but did not have a ladder tall enough. It never got fixed. Also, it seemed to need vacuuming as the floors felt gritty right from day one (not from us). Otherwise, a great place to spend a great vacation!

Reviewer Comments: Came with entire family and this home is in a great location within Palmetto Dunes especially if you are going to play golf, bike, tennis and enjoy the beach. Plus you are a short ride from all the restaurants and marina for water sports. Great location and great house!
