Stayed Mar 26, 2025Absolutely gorgeous view, my family of 5 loved it! Also highly recommend La Leona Waterfall hike and fishing. We cooked many meals in and enjoyed the sunset most evenings. A rental car is a must.

Stayed Feb 1, 2023This was a safe, spacious, and private penthouse with an amazing view. Six adults comfortably stayed here and enjoyed the two clubhouses, pools, and even the tennis courts. One of the clubhouses has an infinity pool and borders Ocotal beach/Father Roosters beachfront restaurant. Craig gave us all of the info we needed to enjoy our trip to Coco/Ocotal.

Stayed Jan 12, 2026Our second outstanding stay at el mirador. The penthouse is a wonderful retreat and stay. The beach club and new second pool was a greatlil oaisis. The new second pool could benefit from some shade as it is toasty. I think the structure is there for thay just not roofed or thatched yet.Check in was easy and smooth, gatedaccess provides piece of mind,easy walk DOWN to town and shoos. However as all reviews to get to the top she is a steep climb so be prepared, car required which for us is standard in CR

Stayed Dec 28, 2025This is a beautiful home, high in the mountains surrounding Playa Del Coco. This is a great choice for a large family vacation. Craig responded to our inquiries promptly, and Grethel, the property manager, keeps an eye on us every few days. The property is highly recommended and has a well-matched description.

Stayed May 18, 2025We enjoyed our stay immensely. The penthouse affords the most relaxing and beautiful view. It is large with plenty of room. We cooked in every night, and Grethel even acquired us some fresh Mahi Mahi to grill and make ceviche. It was so delicious. Grethel is a pro, she found us a driver to Monteverde for a day as well. Just FYI, there is major construction going on directly next door, where they are using large equipment to scrape rock/grounds. Hopefully they will be done soon.

Stayed Feb 10, 2024We have a lovely visit. Craig was a super host, and very responsive to our questions. The condo was very comfortable, with a big balcony and wonderful views. We enjoyed the nearby facilities that were included for all guests staying in Coco Bay Estates - particularly tennis :-)

Stayed Feb 4, 2024Staying at el mirador was exactly what we were after. Two teaveling couples enjoyed dueling master suites use of laundry and the added beach club access at ocotal we found to be so fun and useful. Craig was great to deal with providing very clear instructions and always prompt communication. Other reviews regarding the need of a vehicle due to the hill ARE TRUE. We are fit and thought how steep could it be. Well the distance is long the weather is hot the incline is steep. We had a great rental car so no problem but please be aware. Nice safe location. Well appointed furnishings amd we found to be very comfortable beds. A refreshent in the kitchen utensils/ coomeware plates etc would be nice but that is not a complaint. Safe gated community. Easy run into coco or ocotoal. We used uber a bit. Discovered there are about 10 drivers in the area typical runs about 3000 colones one way. We would park down at thr main club house / sugoi restaurent for pick ups. We used the waze app to gwt around so if your lucky enough to get the use of el.mirador just plug in sugoi japanese restaurant it will take you right to your check in. The views are incredible off the deck we spent several nites partying there Thanks again craig with a little luck we are hoping to return agaian very soon

Stayed Jan 19, 2024Such a piece of paradise. I would highly recommend this property. I believe we had the best view ever. We rented a car and was able to get easily around the city and surrounding cities. Great food and very convenient to everything. Craig the property manager was very responsive and helpful answering questions. Thank you Craig for sharing your wonderful home with us.
