At checking in we found the main floor powder bath has no light. There was a person with the management company there who then told us he would be back the next day to fix the problem with the bulbs. In the meantime we had no light to use the room unless you wanted to use it in the dark. This problem was never fully resolved but the afternoon before we left the next morning someone put a bulb in the exhaust fan that lit the room but the vanity light was never fixed. We had to plug a lamp from the living room into the bathroom to light the room for most of our stay. The upstairs toilet did not flush. The master bath tub faucet leaked so much that when we arrived the tub was full of water. Your has to sleep at night listening to the drip and if the drain was not left open the tub would fill with water. There were only 2 bars of soap on arrival. The shade on the sliding door was broken and had a cord that hung low across the door so you had to be careful not to get caught up in. The master carpet was filthy and needed to be cleaned. The repairs on the light and the toilet were not addressed until Saturday afternoon and we left Sunday morning. this is the first VRBO experience we’ve ever had where the property was kept up so poorly and our concerns were handled in such a late fashion. we would not recommend this property again, and I’m hesitant that VRBO would back something of this quality. We talked to management twice and finally gave up trying to get anywhere with them.
The home is comfortable for 10 although there were only 8 of us. It is cozy and we love that it is beside the river where we can hear the water from the balcony, it is so relaxing. The property is a very short walk to Main Street from the back of the property through the river. So cute! There were no parking permits available at the property when we arrived and it was late and dark. We looked all other the home for where the parking permits were placed but we couldn’t locate it. We called support and they were nice enough to let us know to write our information on a piece of paper and put in our car to avoid being towed. There is no closet to use to hang out clothes as all closets are locked. We bought steaks thinking we could grill for dinner but There was none. There was no large pan or skillet to use to cook for a group of 8, we had to buy a pan from the local store. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and we will consider coming back again.
Perfect set up for singles that don’t share beds. Best we’ve had so far.
A wonderful view. But the unit and condo building had many deferred maintenance issues. Broken deadbolt. Lots of burnt out bulbs. Only one key. We could only reach Vacasa by text message and couldn’t get clear answers on time to resolve these initial complaints. So we fixed lock and replaced bulbs ourselves to enjoy our trip. The list of other problems we encountered was extensive and it seemed the unit was not being adequately maintained for a rental. For example the kitchen sink obviously had long term leaking and the elevator in building was often not working. The list goes on and we didn’t spend our time trying to get help after initial reach out. We still had a wonderful trip. Next time we will use a local property management company that can respond real time to issues. We won’t use Vacasa again.
Very good
Loved the location of this property! Super close to the slopes, ski shop, dining and shopping. The kitchen was lacking in pots/pans/bakeware if you were going to cook for any size of group. The local property management contact was great and prompt when we needed a few things looked at. We would definitely stay here again
Excellent
Our family keeps coming back to Powderhorn for one main reason-location! It is within walking distance of Maggie Pond and Breckenridge and everyone can do their own thing without having to take the car out. This condo had a wonderful view of the river below and some obstructed views of the mountains. Staying on the 4th floor definitely helps with the view! The kitchen looked nice but was lacking in practical things. It didn't even have a working stopper for the kitchen sink. The master bedroom had no place to hang clothes. I understand that the owners want their own private area, but have never stayed where we had NO place to hang anything. Any complaints we had were minor. With just some attention and TLC, this condo would be one I wouldn't hesitate to stay in again.
This home is spacious! There was enough space for everyone in my family, plus more to spare. We loved every space in the house, and it felt like we were in the middle of the forest. I will definitely come back for another awesome experience while in the area.
