    The location, views, pristine beach, and privacy of the balcony deserve a 10/10 rating; however the condo itself has great potential to be 10/10, but needs updating. What we loved: high ceilings, big bedrooms, comfortable furniture, laundry in unit, quiet 3rd floor unit, functional and clean overall. What needs to be changed: the worn and stained carpeting in the living/dining area, the carpeting in the upstairs bathroom, no electrical outlets in any of the bathrooms (could not blowdry your hair in front of a mirror), old shower heads. When we arrived, the numbers on the outside of the condo bldg did not correspond to the rental unit number. We had to call the owner to find out where to check in. The owner was easy to contact.

    We had a wonderful trip, the view from the secluded balcony was beautiful, the sounds of waves provided a relaxing background soundtrack to our daily activities, the direct access to the beach was convenient safe. John is a gracious and considerate host, personable and made are stay more memorable. Thank you for sharing your beach home.

    I’ve been staying in this area the last few years with my wife and now with our daughter. We’ve stayed a couple different places and John’s place by far has the best location and view. It doesn’t get much better in Blue Mountain Beach.

    Cannot beat the views and being right on the beach! Felt like we stepped back in an old Florida home (in the best way possible). Really enjoyed our stay here and John was extremely responsive!!

    The condo was as described. The location was awesome and it was well stocked. John was very easy to communicate with and had work done on a ceiling fan in a timely manner. The condo does need some updating. Carpet was very worn and overall just needs a remodel. Still had a great time because location was awesome.

    You won’t find a better view! Just steps to the beach. The condo is spacious and has a vintage vibe. Beds are comfortable and the garden tub in the master is relaxing after a day on the beach. The kitchen is well appointed and has all the gadgets. The A/C keeps it comfortable and I love that they have fans in the bedrooms,for sleep sound. We had a little hiccup upon arrival, but that was an issue with housekeeping. The owner, John, is very personable and attentive. We really like him. The condo also hosts beach chairs, noodles, etc.. Can’t wait until our next visit.

    We loved the area and the beach. Very few high density properties around. Great beach to relax on. Great beach to walk on. Easy access to the room to refill the cooler. Exactly what we were looking for.

    The location of the condo is fantastic with the uncrowded private beach access and a short walk to Blue Mountain Beach restaurants and shops and a short bike ride to Watercolor, Seaside and Gulf Place in Santa Rosa. The balcony view is wonderful being on the top floor with unobstructed views. The unit is well appointed and the owner, John, is very friendly and hospitable. The unit decor is very dated and could really use a deep cleaning. There is a musty smell throughout the unit and the carpeting needs to be replaced. The unit is on the 3rd floor with no elevator, but that didn't bother us. We didn't mind the extra exercise! There is construction going on in the building next door to the condo, but we didn't hear it from inside the unit. We could hear it from the beach. The location and views from this unit are best part of this condo.

    We had a wonderful time at the property! There were several issues that need to be address as far as maintenance on the property. The doors going out onto the balcony have no way of locking them because the handle is broken on one side. I purchased bungee cords to try to at least detour entry from outside.Owner acknowledged that the abiblity to lock the doors and secure the property was an ongoing problem, which I found strange that if he knew about it, I feel like it should have been corrected/repaired. The furniture and carpeting is quite stained and nasty, but we covered with towels to sit on. The closet door to access the beach items and beach towels is broken or off track and will not open or close properly. The master suite bed had a mattress cover that had a huge urine stain that was rather disgusting upon discovering when I removed the sheets to wash. The comforters in the downstairs bedroom & x-tra blankets needed washed.There are no usable electrical outlets in either bathroom downstairs and limited outlets elsewhere. ThereThere is broken tile at the deck door, there is broken glass on the closet door upstairs and a bottom piece of the upstairs tub is broken. The location is wonderful, the view from the unit is amazing, the beach area is wonderful and easy access to all surrounding areas! Again, we had a wonderful time. But, if you are looking for a clean, secure property with no issues I suggest you continue your search until these issues have been addressed.

    Let me start by saying this unit was in the perfect location. The unit was well equipped and clean. Very cozy and amazing reviews. I must add that the unit is well insulated as we didn’t hear anything outside of the unit. John is a phenomenal host and we chatted multiple times. He was an absolute pleasure to work with on our stay. I would highly recommend anyone staying here and witnessing John’s unit and hospitality.
