Location, Location, Location! This lovely Prince-Kuhio #111 condo offers ocean, park and mountain view, the rustle of palm trees, the beach 150 feet away and the sound of the waves lulling you to sleep in a wonderful environment.
Prince Kuhio #111, a one bedroom unit, is very well maintained a We have painted, replaced the living room and bedroom furniture, put in a new king size bed, and new art work. It has a new glass top stove and frig, lovely granite kitchen counters and tropical cabinets – they are beautiful. We completely painted, renewed the tile floors, put in new screens, new window coverings and new art which includes a beautiful panoramic picture of the Kalalau Valley in the living room. New 65 smart TV in Feb. 2020. We just spent $15,000 putting in Air conditioning in March of 2022. We have owned at the PK since 2001 and spend our winters in Kauai, taking great pride in providing a most up to date unit with lots of extras to help make your holiday a wonderful one. Our unit is in a great location, beautifully decorated, quality, and a great value. PK #111 is in a wonderful setting with beautiful surroundings.
Wake up in the morning in a new large king size bedroom to an island sunrise. Have your coffee on the lanai while enjoying amazing mountain views, the ocean, and an occasional beautiful rainbow with a 180 degree view.
We are just steps away from the best snorkel beach on Kauai and ideally located to enjoy all the beautiful sights of the island. World-class golf is minutes away and the island’s best five star restaurant is just out our front door. The unit comes fully furnished and has all your beach needs, i.e. beach towels and chairs, beach coolers, and needed cooking spices to help keep your grocery costs down. There is free wireless Internet access, free cable, free local and long distance calls to US and Canada, and free covered parking. The Prince Kuhio is a non smoking facility but there is a smoking area out by the parking lot.
This small complex has a beautiful new tiled pool, new deck and lovely water feature placed in our unique garden. There is sun and shade at the non smoking pool to meet your needs.
Like to walk, head up Lawai Road, past beautiful homes, past an elite golf course, a small boat harbour and onto Spouting Horn. Stop along the way to walk through the entrance to the fabulous Botanical Gardens. Head the other direction along the coast to view the Giant Green turtles and whales during migration season. You will probably see an endangered Monk Seal resting on a beach. Take a short 15 minute walk to the Kukui'ula Shopping Center with it's upscale shops, art galleries, delightful island restaurants, organic grocery store/deli, and Wednesday’s Farmer’s Market featuring local produce, baked goods, flowers, and many Hawaii made products while musicians play Hawaiian music and sellers hand out samples.
As your day winds down, walk across the street with your favorite beverage and camera to enjoy a sunset view you won't forget and have dinner at the 5 star Beach House Restaurant. Or stop by one of the local island markets and prepare your meals in our well equipped kitchen or use the outdoor gas grills and picnic area that are available for your use. Then relax in our lovely condo.
We have enjoyed owning a condo on the 3rd floor in the Prince Kuhio since 2001 so much that we purchased this unit on the 1st floor. No stairs to climb, large, easy access and beautiful.
We encourage all our guests to consider taking out trip insurance travel and accomodations, because our cancellation policy is strict.
Cancellations:

Cancellations and reservation changes must be received in writing:
thirty days (30) before arrival
Sixty days (60) for Christmas/New Year (12/15-1/05, 2016).
Cancellations made more than 30 days or 60 days for Christmas before arrival date, are subject to a $150 cancellation fee. Cancellations that are made within 30 days or 60 days for Christmas of arrival date forfeit the full advance payment, unless the unit can be rebooked. There will be no refund for early departure unless the unit can be rebooked. You may choose to purchase travel insurance.

It is highly recommended you purchase travel insurance for emergencies, health issues or weather related delays. If you wish to purchase travel insurance please speak with your travel agent or go to

Check In and Out:

Check in time is 4 PM; check out time is 10 AM. If you have a late night flight you might consider booking another night. If there is a back to back booking, a late check out will not be possible. If there is not a check in on the day your check out, and you do wish a late check out, it will be possible for a $50 fee .

As of Oct. 1, 2021, Kauai has implimented an increase TAT tax for an additional 3%, from 14.96% to 17.96%.

    Everything was accurately described in listing. Not many restaurants around. Snorkeling at beach across from condo and other beaches was nice with sea life, corals are not nearly as spectacular as they used to be. Lots of great hiking nearby.

    The location was great, across the street from the ocean. You could see the ocean if you stood sideways on the small deck off the bedroom which was a little disappointing but the it was nice to hear it at night. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything that we needed, bed was comfy and the unit was very clean. The owners have done a nice job of remodeling the unit and the surrounding grounds a beautiful. The only draw back was the bathroom, which was VERY small. The closet that contained the toilet and the shower had a door that was 20 inches wide and inside the shower is a 30 inch square, a little tight to move around in. The building is older and upon research I guess some of the units have this tiny shower/toliet so beware if you are a person of any size and height that it will be a tight squeeze. Other than that the location was great and central to everywhere we wanted to visit.

    Easy access using keybox and emailed instructions. Clean unit with nice furnishings. Tropical style cabinets and nice kitchen. Solid wood dresser and furniture. Large closet space. Nice views. Always space in parking garage, or in front.

    Very unique property just a block from the beach. Everything was as stated in the listing. First floor location was very convenient. Good communication with the owner. Highly recommended.

    For us a retired couple it was perfect. Older condo but well kept beautiful trees and tropical plants on the grounds and the pool was nice. Quite nice to be able to walk to beaches and some shops. The owner has it nicely decorated.

    The property was in great shape and in an excellent area. Right across the street from Lawai beach, which has excellent snorkeling. We also had easy access to the beaches of Poipu and shopping in Koloa. Overall, an excellent property for a couple on vacation!

    An attractive one bedroom condo, centrally located, surrounded by lush landscaping. A comfortable king sized bed, attractive furniture, impressive artwork, but most importantly AC without which we would not have rented.!!!

    The first-floor condo is in an ideal location with easy access to the beach, the pool, etc. Parking was adequate with some spaces a little tight for a larger vehicle. The property and this unit are a little older and could do with some updates. Our main issue was the insect infestation that bothered us every day of our three-week stay. These tiny brown rice weevils were everywhere in the unit and significant effort was made to kill and clean up the small creatures. Bugs are a part of any stay in Hawaii and this experience is not new to us. But we had to clean (sweep and vacuum) bug bodies, living and dead, each day starting with the day we arrived. This took the edge off our planned vacation. Shortly into our stay we had to provide our own toilet paper and trash bags, as not extras were provided.
