Beautiful Condo in the Heart of Hilo - Pool - A/C #718

Very comfortable stay in a a nicely decorated apartment with great views of the lagoon. Enjoyed watching the plethora of fireworks at midnight on New Years from the balcony. Made use of the full kitchen, and laundry was just down the hall. Would recommend and stay again if we end up back in Hilo. Great suggestions from host on things to do.

We were in Hilo for college baseball. Room was close to the field, the airport and downtown. The view was beautiful and relaxing. There was plenty of space.

This was one of the best maintained VRBOs that we have rented. Many of the furnishings and appliances were older but everything was clean and well maintained and in good working order. Having the large green space adjacent to the building was a pleasant amenity. Our family enjoyed several morning and evening walks through the park and chatting with the locals fishing in the waterway. Having parking included was very convenient.

We didn't use the pool as the environment didn't seem very inviting. Near driveway and asphalt like pool deck. Unit is a bit dated, but clean and well stocked. Convenient location. Quiet complex with a great view of the park.

We wanted something where we could walk to town. It was convenient and we got the exercise we wanted. The patio looks out on the lagoon and beautiful park.The unit was clean. We used the laundry facilities. It was a great week for us.

We enjoyed staying in this unit. It was well equipped and had nice furniture. The bathroom could use some updating, but nothing that is a deal-breaker. Our brief encounter with Terry was positive; he was helpful and kind.We will be back to this condo complex.

Air conditioning not strong enough. No TV instructions were provided, and couldn't access streaming platforms. Otherwise, no complaints.

This was our second time here, the first being one week in April 2025. Once again we appreciated the serene views & two lanais overlooking Wailoa State Park, the fully stocked kitchen, the portable cooler & pool towels (for picnics) & the host's notebook of clear, thorough instructions re: parking space, evening security protocols & keys, laundry room down the hall, recommendations for restaurants, sightseeing, etc. A gem of a location for walking into town, park enjoyment & sightseeing headquarters. It was excellent for our intentional combo: 50 % Relaxation, reading, napping, walking 50 % excursions!

We loved our stay at this wonderful condo! The view from the morning side of the building was awesome! We very much appreciated the air conditioning and the great kitchen which had everything you would ever need. This beautiful home made our visit to Hilo an enjoyable and very memorable part of our first visit to Hawai'i.

Hilo Lagoon is centrally located, the condo has a nice view over the park and lagoon with morning sun. Private parking (included) is close, the building has good security, our neighbours and hallway were very silent. Everything was tidy and really clean, just a bit outdated, Hilo style ;-)The kitchen is functional, pots and dishes were in good condition, only the coffee mugs need replacement. The dishwasher is antique, with perfectly clean interior, we were afraid to touch it.The comfortable bed and friendly environment made a perfect stay in the modern heart of Hilo. We would definitely come back to this condo!

The views through the sliding glass windows in both the living room & bedroom are eye popping serenity and beauty looking at the verdant Wailoa Park and the big sky. Easy walk into town, short strolls and picnics in the park and manageable walks to the Bay and onto Banyan Drive for the park, restaurants, Banyan Gallery, etc. RECOMMEND: Changing out the coffee mugs which all have cracks and replacing the vegetable peeler which is so flimsy that I was afraid I'd cut myself. So, I borrowed our son's peeler. Otherwise, thank you for a well stocked, comfortable condo unit for our vacation!

This location was perfect for our visit to the Merrie Monarch Festival. Quick ride to the Festival grounds, walked to see the Royal Parade, great neighborhood for food and groceries. Could walk or drive to Downtown Hilo. Highly recommend this condo and its pleasant owners.

The unit was as the pictures show but some things need to be updated. The futon/sofa is well used and is no longer comfortable. The ac unit in the living room does not get cooler than 74/75 degrees. Luckily the bedroom unit works well and the bed was comfortable. All the appliances worked but truely the diswasher has to be from the 80's or 90's, just kind of took us by surprise..The inside hallways are very stark and nothing seems appealing. The unit worked for us as we were not there much. Updated seating is very necessary. Places to rent in Hilo are not plentiful so this was a fine option for us.

Property was very nice and extremely well equipped. Property managers were very responsive and had lots of suggestions for things to do and restaurants.

Being able to walk a short mile to the Gardens and to Town, the million dollar view of the lagoon park is wha we love most about this property

Although entire trip covered byraining, we walked to Akaka Fall. It was magnificent place to visit. It is suggested by the owner. The entire trip was magnificent, it was quiet, it has an AC, the bath room was clean.

Very clean. Loved the morning and early evening view from balcony. Condo didn’t lack anything that we needed. Cozy.

This was the fifth time that we have stayed in a condo at this location. We love the clean, quiet atmosphere. We like the fact that it's air-conditioned, which we still needed in late September. The location is perfect, as we like to walk from the condo to Coconut Island every morning.

View was beautiful! Air conditioning kept it cool at night but not during the day. Mold on fixtures in the shower/bathtub

We had a wonderful time in Hilo and this condo is a perfect location! Very clean and everything you need. We were there 4 nights. They provided beach towels, cooler, kitchen necessities, etc. The condo had a very comfortable king bed and nice sheets and pillows. We even had to use the laundry facilities unexpectedly and the security office had quarters on site. It is a very secure building! Highly recommend this condo!

Accommodation ideal for us. Nice outlook over the pond , easy walk to the water front, nice stroll into Hilo if we were so inclined.

Unbeknownst to the owner, the building was going to start repairs of the a/c and hot water for the few days we were supposed to be there. The apartment was in a wonderful location with beautiful views. As soon as I arrived and Terry was made aware of the unexpected inconveniences, he provided a full cancellation and refund and we were able to find a local hotel. Although we didn’t get to stay in the unit, I highly recommend it and the manager is quick to respond and gave a list of wonderful local recommendations for food and activities.
