Summary:

Tropic Isles 505

The Space:

Welcome to Tropic Isles 505! Step off the sundeck and right onto the sugar-white sands. This corner unit features a spacious balcony with panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico and the Little Lagoon, perfect for your morning cup of coffee while looking for dolphins. Parasailing and banana boat rides are available a few steps down the beach. This property also offers a heated pool, Gulf front, and a shared grilling area for fun family cookouts. Free high-speed internet and a phone with one touch dialing for food delivery, for the nights when you want to stay in.

Tropic Isles 505 is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, and sleeps 7 comfortably. The Master bedroom features a King size bed, a 43' Flat screen smartTV, a private master bath with soaker tub and separate shower. The second bedroom has a full size bed and a twin, a flat screen TV, and a view of the beach. The living room has a Large 58' smartTV, an open floor plan to a fully equipped kitchen with a coffee maker, microwave, stove, toaster, and a blender to reduce the items you will need to pack. This unit comes equipped with a washer and dryer to reduce the amount of clothes you need to bring.

This is a low density, 40 unit, family oriented complex directly on the Gulf. Many owners use their units exclusively as a 2nd home for family vacations, which makes this location feel more private than other larger resorts. The beach isn't as crowded as some of the other large complexes which makes finding the perfect spot on the beach to relax easy to find. Unlike most other condos our balcony is private and can not be seen by any other units in the building.

Tropic Isles is located in the heart of Gulf Shores where you are in walking distance to dozens of restaurants and shops including The Hangout, The Original Oyster House, Bahama Bobs, Pink Pony Pub, The Steamer Baked Oyster Bar, The Diner, Desoto's Seafood Kitchen, The Catch, Mikee’s Seafood, Hooters, Surf Style, Dollar General, Sea and Suds, Wade Ward Nature Park, and a liquor store is directly across the street. The only time you will need to get back in your vehicle is when you are returning home.

What's nearby:

For family-friendly fun, take a short drive over to the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo or Waterville USA, for waterslides, mini-golf, go-karts, and more, both just a little over a mile from this rental, or head east just six miles to discover all the thrills at Adventure Island, another exciting amusement park with a replica volcano that regularly 'erupts' for visitors. And for outdoor fun, hike or bike the trails that wind through the 6,500 acres of Gulf State Park, less than two miles from your front door where you can rent electric bikes for your adventure. Your only minutes from Gulf State Pier, The Track, The Wharf and Amphitheater, Adventure Island, marinas, jet skis, dolphin tours, zoo, and golf courses.

Thank you for looking and we hope you choose our home as your Vacation home! This condo allows monthly reservations November 1 - March 31.

This condo was clean, in a great location, and had the best stocked kitchen ever.

The microwave did not work. Every time we plugged anything to any outlet in the kitchen, it would trip the breaker. There are some electrical problems with the kitchen that really should be checked out. There is a very nasty dirty mattress in the second bedroom and the kitchen chairs were pretty dirty as well. Other than that all was good and we enjoyed our stay even though it was very difficult cooking for the family.

I have stayed at this property many times prior to this trip but never is this particular unit. After receiving several assertive emails about parking and how to properly display the parking permit that was supposed to be on the kitchen counter, there was no permit. I called Vacasa, and they assured me that someone would be by with the permit and that they would call my cell before entering the unit. When customer service called back to asked me if I had received the parking permit, initially I said no, that no called my cell. Then as I am talking to customer service and walking into the unit from the balcony I see that indeed someone had entered the unit, placed the parking permit on the counter and walked out while we were all on the balcony without a word. Super freaky! Then we look and there is no ice maker or ice trays in the freezer, so I called back the next day and someone again without calling, knocks on the door with a small bag of ice and ice trays. Later that evening the microwave stops working along with all the kitchen outlets. I called customer service again. The Vacasa representative shows up again without calling and fixes the microwave. On the last evening of our stay we want to wash our beach towels and notice a small sticker on the washing machine stating Do Not Use Under Repair. I call the customer service number again and ask for a manager. Of course they are not going to call a repairman after hours so we are just SOL.

The hall bath shower liner was moldy and torn, the master bed cover was stained, the walls in the other bedroom were stained with what appeared to be boogers! There was an uncovered outlet in the living room. The dishwasher was not attached to the cabinet and when I went to put dishes in it, the entire thing fell out! My husband said the same thing happened to him the next morning. I asked for the shower liner to be replaced but no one showed up the next day to do it. We got mad and left on Tuesday instead of Thursday because of the condition of this unit! My husband said someone from the property mgt co showed up as we were leaving. He pointed out our concerns to her but she had an excuse for everything. The main thing she said that I think is outrageous is that they only do a deep clean of the units once a year. With COVID still running so rampant, that is mind boggling to me!

My family of 7 had a great time and enjoyed our stay at Tropic Isle. We had plenty of room and loved being right on the beach with an ocean view. We definitely would stay here again.
