Beachfront condo with beach access, fireplace, balcony, washer/dryer & views

This is a gorgeous lakeshore location with a wide sandy beach. The condo is very comfortable, with a well-appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, and great views from the balcony. However, Vacasa is the rental management company and I would never stay at one of their properties again. To start, they sent me direct emails trying to get me to pay them directly even though I knew the balance would be automatically charged by VRBO. They skimped on amenities: there were no beach towels and only four clothes hangers in the master bedroom. Most importantly, my mother accidentally locked herself out of the condo while I was away so I called Vacasa’s customer support number and they were unable to help. They didn’t have any name or phone number for the local property managers! I found a physical office address (not onsite) in one of VRBO’s emails and was able to get help that way, but what if we had an emergency or problem with the units outside of business hours? Vacasa didn’t provide any added benefit and just got in the way. From now on, I’ll only rent through VRBO if there is contact information for the owner or a local property manager.

It's a condo in The Homestead. Nicer than most that get rented. Very nice, would stay again.

Stunning views, well maintained and a cozy ambience!

From the moment we arrived, we felt the warmth of welcome feeling of home. The nightly viewing of the sunset from our private deck or the beach was incredible. Our Fall vacation was everything we wanted!

The unit is very well-located and nice and the owners have thought through many details to make your stay enjoyable, easy and comfortable. It is nice to be upstairs, but please be aware that it's not just one normal staircase to get up there, it's a series of stairs with a total of 31 stairsteps, so that might not be good for some families. Also, the beach is great and it's right within view, but not that simple to get to.

Love being able to walk right out to the beach and enjoy the view.

Our only complaint was that some dirty towels from the previous guest s were not picked up by the cleaners. Also we only received one parking pass but that was remedied the following day. The location was superb. My husband and son enjoyed the short walk to the beach and my daughter-in-law and I enjoyed the view! The beach chairs, umbrella, and fans were greatly appreciated.

Great location. Condo exactly as described.

This condo was wonderfully appointed. Really enjoyed the Lake Michigan sunsets, the quiet neighborhood and its proximity to Glen Arbor and all Leelanau County has to offer. The Brita pitcher in the fridge was a thoughtful touch, and the well-equipped kitchen was much appreciated!
