I should have read the August 26, 2023 review. This place needs work. There are Damp-Rid bags and containers throughout the unit, hanging in closets and in cabinets (I have pictures to prove it). One of the pictures of this unit on the Vrbo website shows a lamp on a table, underneath a clock on the wall. This picture is inaccurate, to put it politely. On the table is a dehumidifier, not a lamp. Per the rental office, the dehumidifier needs to run 24/7, and there is a hose running from the dehumidifier to the kitchen sink, so it can drain when necessary (I have pictures to prove it). The cabinets have a very musty smell to them. There are too few dishes and silverware, so you are constantly washing dishes. The oven is very dirty, and smokes a lot when used to the point where it sets off the smoke detector every time you open it. I will stay anywhere else, even if it costs more money.

There was a broken chair at the kitchen table, limited dishes, and cooking utensils which were dirty. The beds were very uncomfortable, no dishwashing tabs, no cover for the tiny table ironing board, There were damp-rid bags hanging everywhere. The shade blind in the bedroom was ripped and useless. It appears the property owners are only concerned with putting the money in their pockets and not investing in improving the property. The only good thing is that it’s steps from the beach!

The condo is VERY close to the beach which is extremely convenient, especially for children. Couldn’t beat how close it was. Every neighbor we met was very kind - lots of families. 44th was pretty quiet, and the beach didn’t get too crowded, even on a holiday weekend. The condo itself is a little dated and needs a DEEP clean but you get what you pay for (location). For example - we didn’t use the comforters on the beds because they had a hair on them and didn’t seem to have been washed, the vents had dust and debris, the top of the (short) fridge was covered in dirt, and the shower had sand & long hair in it. There’s no central air and you can’t turn the window units below 70. The check-in process was easy and the staff I spoke with were nice. Overall - easy check-in, okay condo, awesome location.

The rental company provided great service, the property was in good shape and a great location. We had to shut off the wall unit AC in the bedroom because both my wife and I were coughing and experiencing sore throat. We had to keep it off for the remainder of our stay. There was a ceiling fan, so we were still comfortable. Just wanted to let you know to get this cleaned or replaced as you will continue to make people sick.

THere was a miscommunication between the owner and the cleaning people so the unit had not been cleaned when we arrivedto check in. After the realtor made some calls and an hour later, we were able to check in. I was glad were arrived during office hours and not had a late checkin. It would of been a nightmare to fix. The man at the office was nice and said he submitted a request to the accounting office and I would received a $50 credit for the inconvenience. That was very nice. For the price and because it is difficult to rent a unit for less than a week I think it was a good find. WHen we arrived at the unit it had a very heavy odor of cleaning supplies. The unit was nice but worn.. I do want people to be aware that there were 2 AC units, no central air. I’m sure it says this in the VRBO subscription but I didn’t think about it until we were there. One AC unit is in the front (living room) and one in the back (bedroom). The units were loud and it was hard to regulate the temperature. We tried leaving one off n just using the other or vise versa but we were either too hot or too cold. Location was great - beach block. Kitchen was not well equipped. There are pots but no pans—to bake brownies, cook meat. Also, the handheld can opener did not work. I forgot to tell the office about that when I checked out. I was going to buy a watermelon but I don’t think there wasn’t a large knife to cut it.
