Our stay was wonderful, but the condo itself was unacceptable. The bathroom and the master bath was still under instruction with drywall showing in the shower area. And the utility door in the kitchen was falling off the hinges we had to have a gentleman come in and fix it. The scaffolding was still up on the lanai, and there was clay dust all over. Mosquitoes everywhere in the elevator towards the beach. I can’t believe the owner of the condo would let anyone stay in it when it was in disarray Sun Palace Vacations were wonderful although

First the cons, but there are some nice pros, so keep reading. The condo was being renovated. We did not have 2 full baths, only partial use of the one. The master bedroom had construction debris: boards w/ nails and fiberglass insulation under our hanging clothes. We also had no (promised a partial) ocean view at all due to construction equipment parked outside our balcony & all windows were covered by blue film to protect the outside during reconstruction. The management knew this and has only responded, It is out of our control. Yes, upgrade delays and hurricanes are out of their control, but marketing and appropriate pricing are not. I communicated (with photos) to management on Wednesday. Today is Saturday, no remedy yet.Additional cons: We signed a contract upon booking. They sent a 2nd contract the day before our arrival with slightly different terms, namely an updated and more liberal cancellation policy due to the hurricane. However, we couldn't exercise the more liberal policy since we were made aware of it only the DAY BEFORE arrival.Pros: The place has sturdy furniture and is pictured accurately. The balcony is a great size. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. They provide a Keurig and drip coffee makers. VERY clean! We also were helped with an early check in. We still had to wait a couple of hours, but got in 2 hrs early. The customer service agent was nice. They just need to price and advertise properly during construction.

We really love this condo, very clean and being directly on the beach made it even better. It was perfect for us (4 adults and 1 infant). Plenty of space and having an extra pack and play there was very convenient! Kitchen was big and lots of space for us all as well as the bedrooms and bathrooms! Would definitely recommend this place and will be back!

The unit was beautiful, had all needed supplies and amenities, and the location was ideal. Clear check-in instructions and good follow-up communication. We lucked out and did not have active exterior re-construction during the time we were there. But be aware that the building and several neighboring buildings are in the midst of repairs from 2022 hurricane. The beach, however, is absolutely perfect and very inviting for long walks and seashell collecting. I wish I'd found this rental when my children were little. The combination of pool beach is ideal for young families.

Loved the place. Very clean and great beach access. Only downside was the traffic trying to get downtown Ft Myers Beach. 2 hours to go 4 miles.

The property is just as pictured. Very nice and roomy!! It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Very nice decor and comfortable beds. Great for 2 couples or a family. There are beach towels in the unit, and there are pool toys and beach chairs too. The beach was wonderful and the pool was very nice. You can get 2 chairs and an umbrella for 30 a day which is a bargain! 2 reasons for the 4 star-1) there was scaffolding right next to our unit outdoor balcony the whole time. It appears they are repainting outside but I never saw anyone using the scaffolding. It did block the view a bit. 2) there are no places to eat or beach bars in this general area as it’s still rebuilding. Heads up! The grocery store closes at 7:00 pm.

Received a phone call on Wednesday (the day before our trip) informing me of the heater to the pool not working. Ok, we can live with that. Arrived Thursday, bathing suits on and ready to head down to the pool only to be informed that the pool is closed. (The beach and the pool were the entire reason we booked this place.) This information was NOT provided by the host but rather the Gullwing property on site. Additionally, I called the provided number, no answer, left a voicemail, never once received a call back. The second bedroom had curtains and blinds that I was told were going to be installed, lying on the bed, which I was informed the day before would be hung that morning. None of the TV’s worked and WiFi info was incorrect. Emailed the provided email address, no reply. After waiting until Friday, I decided to try and message through the Vrbo app. Eventually, got a response but with no resolve for any of the mentioned issues. Inquired the host about a compensation due to the pool being closed and no communication prior to arrival only to be informed that it was “out of their hands” and they can do nothing about it. Last full day at the condo, Saturday afternoon, they finally sent someone over to fix the tv’s. We travel to fort Meyer’s often and have always booked through Vrbo and have always had wonderful hosts, would NEVER book through Sun Palace ever again. Terrible communication, can’t get ahold of anyone and clearly don’t care about their guests.

Hi, I loved the condo. We had an amazing time and the proximity to the beach was amazing. The condo was clean and the kitchen had all of the amenities for cooking. Grills provided by the pool also allowed easy dinners while the kids swam. I was disappointed that I wasn't told ahead of time that the lanai was closed. It is my favorite part of vacay to sit on the balcony. Also, I always choose to rent through VRBO. However, because I didn't rent through Sunstream, I was not allowed to rent tennis rackets or do anything on property that they allow their guests to do. I found the desk clerk to be rude. Also, I called Sun Palace about the parking pass as I noticed everyone had one and Justin was nice enough to call and secure one for me. However, when I went to the front desk I was told no I could not have one. A manager heard me talking and gave me one. Fort Myers endured so much damage and I can't wait for the area to be back to 100%. I would say the area condos and restaurants welcome the business. I am not sure why they choose to treat guests staying on property in such a way. Is it really that hard to rent two tennis rackets to my children? Justin was also very helpful with the rackets. He found a place for me to rent. I was impressed with the level of service provided by Sun Palace and I really liked the condo and location. Next time, I'll just pack my own rackets. Thank you for a wonderful time

The condo itself and the Gullwing complex were well maintained and conveniently located. Although construction was still happening, it was unobtrusive and did not impact our stay. Our only real complaints about the condo were lack of water pressure in the bathrooms and the sparseness of dishes and cutlery. That said, Fort Myers beach is still very much suffering the impact of Ian. We enjoyed the condo, beach and pool. The few restaurants close by were very good but getting about and having a viable variety of venues is still problematic.
