One of the toilets didn't work and flooded during our stay. The pool was not available and we were told it has not been in use for 3 years. No air conditioning. The TV took hours to figure out. For all the money I paid ($730.0/night), you would at least expect the toilets to work. I am never using this service again.
We had stayed in the unit next to this one last year, but much prefer this unit for a number of reasons. For one thing, this being an end unit, it has extra windows on the side of the building, which look out to the hillside with Mt Ada at the top, as well as to the harbor. It was the perfect spot for ‘recharging’ after a long pandemic year, as one can just sit with a cup of tea at sunset and watch or rather gawk at the amazing changing colors of the sky. A hint for those who like to walk/hike: you can walk right up to Mt Ada from Wrigley Road which is practically right next to the condo complex, and then take different paths to get back down depending on how ambitious you are. This is in the opposite direction from the recommended golf-cart route, and actually far less demanding as the ascent is shorter though probably equally steep… Kudos, too, to CIVR for their excellent and friendly management. The possibility of 2 pm check-out instead of 10 am for a $50 fee is also appreciated — provided the unit isn’t booked by some other lucky person(s) arriving the same afternoon!
B44 - Bahia Vista has the same issues from 2018 reviews. I believe after this stay they may be fixed. However if you are looking to stay at this property I would look through all the reviews and confirm they were able to get the issues resolved. Broken screens that let bugs into the room, broken sink knobs on bathroom faucets and numerous other items. We requested to be relocated to another property. B44 - Bahia Vista is perhaps for anyone looking for a decent view and minimal bells and whistles. Internet is maybe 3Megs at best if you are lucky. So a recap. Property boo, management hooray as they came to rescue our family vacation.
It was a short and easy walk from the ferry with our bags. We were very pleasantly surprised to see that the photos on VRBO represented the unit we walked into. We were also thankful to discover that the kitchen had plenty of pots/pans/utensils/ coffee maker etc for us to prepare meals at the condo (which we ended up doing throughout our stay). The beds were comfortable. We had a few questions during our stay (not issues with the condo) and we were able to reach someone without any trouble in a timely manner. I would highly recommend staying here. We plan to return in early 2021.
We were there during a hot weekend and found that the unit stayed cool despite the heat. Upon entry we found that the management had cleaned and sanitized everything well. The house was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. Over all we were very happy with our stay.
The building was in good condition. The pool was great. The proximity to the shops and beach was great because it was all flat. B44 it self is rundown and needs a lot of improvements. Some of the sliding screen doors are broken and the screens are ripped allowing bugs to fly in. There are no ceiling fans in any room and it was extremely hot and uncomfortable at night to sleep even with windows open. There was only one small plastic oscillating fan to share with six people. There weren't enough towels for six people. The bedding for the pullout couch was tossed in a dirty closet crumpled and used looking. The fridge door handle looks rusty. There is no first aid kit, which was needed during our stay. All we needed to make this a great place to sleep and stay are some very simple and cheap upgrades; fans for every room, screen doors that work properly, properly folded and clean linens, enough towels for the minimum 3 night stay for 6 people and a simple first aid kit. I hope that these improvements are made
This place needs to be updated!
Great place and within walking distance to everything. An added bonus was having a swimming pool and a jacuzzi in the complex. Only complaint was no wifi but overall my family and I had plenty of space and enjoyed our vacation.
