We truly enjoyed our stay. We had plenty of room and everyone enjoyed having their own bathroom. The condo is a corner unit which was a very pleasant surprise! The balcony had plenty of room and seating. It wraps around from the MBR to the living room with awesome views of the ocean. The only minor challenge was the stove. The knobs were so worn it was hard to tell what the settings were. But other than that it was perfect. Easy access to the beach. Loved the Seascape Dr entrance which allowed us to access Emerald Coast Pkwy (US 98) easily. Would definitely stay here again.
The unit is lovely. It was beyond clean-kudos to the cleaning staff! I do have some notes to take into consideration, if this property is on your possibles list, or if you’ve booked, things to know ahead of time: Check the bands for the pool when you arrive. They are in a basket on the far end of the counter. There’s a note in the basket that there should be 7; there were 5. You can get charged for missing bands. Note that the contact info on the card in the basket is for Vacasa. Ocean Reef is the booking agent for the property now. Ocean Reef does provide seven sets of towels (2 for each bed, one for the sofa bed.) The towel sets do not include washcloths! It’s just a hand towel and bath towel. I went to Target to buy washcloths. There are no baking sheets in the kitchen. There are cake pans and pizza pans, but no cookie sheets. I emailed ahead of time regarding the coffee maker in the unit and was told there was a Keurig, so brought K cups. The coffee maker is in fact a regular coffee maker. Bring filters! There are no screen doors on the balcony doors facing the ocean. The doors facing Ariel Dunes II, behind the chairs in the living room, do have screens. May be something to consider when renting with little ones. The curtains in the LR are blackout, the curtains in the primary are not. Bring a sleep mask if this will impact your sleep. It is rather bright, even at night. The unit does not come with beach service. I was aware of this ahead of time, but plan accordingly. Two chairs and an umbrella are $45 a day. When adding two more chairs, we paid $300+ for 4 days of beach service. La Dolce Vita has a contract with the resort, so they set up their chairs right at the water’s edge and can go several rows back. Without beach service, you won’t be at the water’s edge. If you do rent chairs, note that LDV sets up early. Get your stuff to your chairs early. One day, the people on the sand were unhappy with where LDV had placed the chairs we rented, and moved them so they could get through to the water easier. The next day, we went early to make sure that hadn’t happened again, only to find another family staying at AD I had taken one of our chairs for their use. The guys from LDV fixed that quickly—confronting the woman about taking one of chairs-but be aware people are shady about chairs. Overall, we had a great stay. The unit is immaculate and comfortable. I just wanted to add some detail in hopes of helping.
