    This was a great location. Lovely apartment but a little dated. And cheap fittings, so things broke, like the toilet roll holder and the wardrobe doors. We didn't have a plug for the kitchen sink till the second day so that was annoying. Over all though, it was a very good place to stay. We were very happy here.

    Great location, close to everything. A little too small for our family of 5 but would be perfect for a family of 4. Building is a little old and the beds need to be replaced. Overall happy with the stay.

    As advertised. Having covered parking onsite and only a couple easy blocks from beach and c-store was awesome. Easy to get into and out if self driving excursions and dinning.

    We really enjoy staying on this end of Waikiki. The building is easy to get to. Parking was easy. Great communication with the host and the unit itself is clean and has a nice view of Diamond Head. The only issue we had with the unit is the shower head is super strong or a mist, with no in-between, which was annoying because you have to hold it in your hand. The building itself, however, could really use some updating. The hallway carpets need replacing, the reception area could be a lot more welcoming, the snack shop and fitness room were closed, an elevator was wonky... those sorts of things. They aren't vital to have a good time, but would certainly go a long way in getting a return visit.

    charming apartment! Kitchen adequately stocked; beds were very comfy. Property manager responsive. Property overall was a little bit dated, but it was clean. Safe area, great for walking to beach and all around Waikiki.

    Location is key - so close to the beach and the main strip. The Diamond Head View was beautiful. Roomy and very clean. The upgrades to the unit are so appreciated. I had other family members staying in other units in the same building that felt outdated… while we had the best appointed unit in the building. We look forward to another visit!

    The location is perfect. However, the communication with the management is a bit challenge. The room is smaller than the pictures. The elevator shut down one time, we climbed the stairs! Overall, the experience was alright.

    Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The good Captain Cook was easy to work with and a great company overall. The unit was dated, but clean. In a great location. Walkable to the beach, stores , restaurants. Had no issues with parking.The bad- we booked this unit for the location and pool. The pool was closed for maintenance two days of our stay. The elevators were also out of order intermittently for two days. We were notified by a sign inside the elevator. Had I known of these issues, we would have either not booked this unit or planned to be on excursions during this time period. As it was, we were on the 24th floor, so we needed up being trapped inside for several hours. We did receive a small refund, but really not worth it considering the impact. According to other long term guests, the elevator issues are common. The pull out sofa does not have a mattress- it's a 4inch piece of foam suitable for a child only.

    We enjoyed the condo and it served our needs for sleeping and resting after a long day enjoying the Island. It’s a bit smaller than the pictures lead on (inside), however, we didn’t come to Oahu to stay inside all day and laze around a house/condo. It served excellent jumping point to all the hotspots within walking distance to Waikiki, as well as close proximity to major veins to get around the island. The view from the balcony is breathtaking and served as a great vantage point in the morning and evening. WiFi was not working well, but building WiFi served as backup and fit our needs well. The AC didn’t cool the bedrooms rooms (we prefer a cooler nighttime, but opened the windows and let the fresh ocean breeze cool us at night. Would highly recommended for the value and proximity. Would definitely stay again and appreciate the host/management sending detailed instructions.
