Friendly and helpful staff, the condos are outdated and the one we stayed in had a terrible odor. Buildings don’t have central HVaC our room was 77 degrees. Called front desk and facilities came but couldn’t do much he mentioned they are aware of the temperatures. They charged additional resort fees that are not specified in the reservation page.
We came down from camping on a long vacation and it was a delight to stay at this location in Brian Head. It was very spacious and comfortable. We loved cooling off in the pool and relaxing our hiking muscles in the hot tub. It was so nice and affordable we wished we had booked a second night.
Positives: location was excellent with a lot of amenities staff was helpful and prompt. Negatives: Rooms are in a state of disrepair. There was half inch layer of dirt on fans, smoke alarm. Tiles in bathrooms look dirty, probably due to age. Locks on the bathroom doors don't work. Kitchenet should have some basic condiments, which were not there. On the VRBO website, the listing said two bedrooms - one with a king and one with two queens. But our space had two kings. Our suite was very claustrophobic.
Great family fun
Everything there was fairly nice and I don’t have any complaints about the property, location, or cleanliness. My family’s huge issue was with the bogus vrbo listing. It clearly said that one bedroom had a queen bed and the other bedroom had two beds, which is why I reserved it. When I checked in the worker at the front desk told me that there was no way we could get a room with two beds because they were all sold out. I responded with “but I specifically reserved a place that had the appropriate number of beds for my family.” They told me that was vrbo’s mistake, not theirs. In the end I felt like I paid for something that I did not get, which certainly seems like it would be illegal in the USA. So, instantly I went from feeling like I had rented a very comfortable, nice place for my family to feeling like I had been tricked and now my family is going to be bummed!
We were able to switch to a room with more beds that accommodated us better. Friendly staff. Good location.
Showed up for check in, was supposed to be at 4 came at 6 room was not ready. This was for a surprise bday and was told I had to wait another 30 min. I said that wasn’t acceptable and need to get in the room to de irate as they cleaned. Was given no email or text that informed us it wasn’t ready, no discount or apology.
Cedar Breaks Lodge has plenty of amenities and the room we received is beautiful and comfortable! The room is very clean and modern. We will definitely be staying here again next time.
Fortunany the fires did not take Cedar Break Lodge however Diamond Resorts should disclose that several businesses were closed and there is very little to do mid-May. We were extremely disappointed
MAJOR issue with VRBO 3rd party vacaystay connect not getting our reservation to the property. tho they say ALL are FWD immediately, so unfortunately we were stuck in the middle. OVER an hour going back and forth btwn the 2 in getting us what we paid for. Amber was the Front Desk Manager and helped us right from the beginning til the end and with GM Arnold Needham were able to accommodate 5 adults into 2bd as we reserved. Amber was great thru the process as was the lady from VacayStay in working with Cedar Breaks to resolve the issue. I think her name was Millie as that's who responded to my emails. That aside the rooms are very well kept, kitchenettes have plenty of utensils-appliances to make breakfasts and dinners. Didn't use any amenities but they looked great-hot tub-pool-billiard table-ping pong etc. Will def stay there again Restaurant had very very good food as well as our server who made us welcome and comfortable at dinner after the check in nightmare. Needless to say, when booking with 3rd party ALWAYS call Hotel to verify reservations.
