Convenient location close to convention center. Each room had their own bathroom which was nice. Thanks!
What a truly nice place. The biggest plus was the 4 bathrooms so its didn't take us long to get ready.i would say it was a little tight but no smaller than mist motel rooms. We were a little disappointed about the outdoor space but we were conveniently close to the park and beach. There was only 2 tvs but we weren't there to watch. Parking was good though they black steps could use a railing. We would stay again.
Overall great place, responsive owner, close to downtown and china town. Place is completely renovated and bathrooms are really nice. No issues in AC or hot water. The kitchen and living areas are bit tight for 4 bedroom place as we were 10 of us including 2 children. No dishwasher (i assumed) so it's my fault. Parking can be bit challenging but we were able to get owners parking in the back for 4 nights out of 5. If you are looking for staying close to downtown i would highly recommend as it's 10 min from most of the places you want to visit.
Great place to stay near China Town. The place looks to be newly renovated, easy access in/out and always got prompt response from the owner. Only thing was common area was a bit tight but other than that, no issues.
Large apartment, many rooms with plenty of space. Clean and the hosts were very available and reached out to ensure that everything was going well. Only note is that the building is close to the highway so some of the rooms are a bit noisy at night.
When we checked into this property, it was not cleaned from the last guest's stay and the door was deadbolted so we couldn't get inside the unit. It took a while to even reach the property manager who sent the cleaning crew to unlock and to clean the unit, but this took them two hours. I asked for a partial refund for time we could not spend in the unit and it took several repeat messages to the Oasis team via VRBO for them to issue it. I imagine they wouldn't have willingly done anything had I not pushed for it myself and threatened to contact VRBO. The place itself (once actually cleaned and accessible) was fine. Close access to the CTA. One of the showers didn't have hot water, and while the unit had plenty of bedrooms, there wasn't much room for spending time with people in the unit. No real living room, and table in the kitchen is small and awkwardly placed. If you use this place, expect it to be more of a crash pad for your stay in Chicago with little time spent in the unit, and don't be surprised if there are hiccups that take far too long for the managing team to resolve.
loved it, much better than hotel life when traveling in groups!
A few co-workers and I stayed here while attending a conference at McCormick Place. It worked well and each of us had our own room and bath. We didn’t find ourselves hanging out here or using the small living space, which is more like a sun room and comfortable for 2-3. The mattresses could use a thicker mattress pad, but overall we were satisfied with our stay. I would stay here again for the proximity to the convention center and ease. It was also very clean and well kept. If you have a vehicle, the free parking is a fantastic perk.
What a lovely rental. Clean, bright, well stocked for all your vacation needs. Plus having 4 bathrooms made life so easy for us all. And can we talk about the toilets? The Best ever!! Wish I could take it home with me. Thanks Annie and the Oasis team for helping to make our family wedding weekend fun and stress free.
Overall, our visit was pretty good, though we’d stay closer in if we come back (and not spend so much on Ubers). My husband and I, along with our four kids (21, 19, 18 and 17) came for 5 days. The unit is directly under the interstate (literally), so the traffic was loud (for those not used to city noise). We had a night where some neighbors in the building most definitely did NOT observe the quiet hours. Finally at 4:30 am, I went outside to ask the party of 10-15 people to be quiet (to no avail). Another night, there was a group of hundreds (again, literally) of motorcycles that gathered outside on the street next to our building that revved their engines for a few hours (so maybe this is an area a bit outside the city that is less patrolled by police - seems it couldn’t have happened closer inside the city from what I could tell). I know the host had no control over some things (just letting others know what the area seems like), but the one complaint I feel that could have been controlled was that the AC was set to 85 degrees when we arrived. It was HOT as we unloaded all of our luggage, which was awful. I understand saving power, but if someone is planning to check in, surely the cleaning crew could bump it to at least 75! It can’t possibly save power for us to have to run the AC non-stop for the next 8 hours just to cool it down to a reasonable temp. It was so miserably hot, we couldn’t even relax and had to leave the unit for several hours. We used Uber for most everything bc Cermack was too long of a walk (especially in the hottest temps so far this summer). There are a couple of close restaurants but they didn’t look appealing to us, so we never tried anything close by. We personally didn’t feel “super comfortable memory foam mattresses” but maybe that’s personal preference. There weren’t enough pillows for the 6 of us, so I’m not sure there could possibly be enough for 13. There was one room that could be used as a family room, but there were no window coverings so it stayed hot and left us feeling exposed. The host was gracious and very responsive, and she allowed us early check in at no charge. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked, and there were lots of coffee pods and bath towels.
