Aloha from the gorgeous sunny studio Whaler #1115 at The Whaler on Ka'anapali Beach. Whaler 1115 is located on the 11th floor on the sunny courtyard side of Tower I, the north tower. This fully remodeled interior features an open kitchen with an oversized granite peninsula that opens up the entire condo. There is a 4 person dining room table and chairs, couch and coffee table. The king bed is very comfortable and there is also a queen sofa sleeper. The bathroom vanity and sink area hasmatching granite countertops and cabinets to the kitchen. To the right of vanity sink area is the tiled walk-in shower room and toilet which has a pocket door for privacy. There is a large walk-in guest closet to the left of the vanity area, with lots of room for suitcases. In the guest closet are lots of things to borrow: large rolling beach cooler, 2 Tommy Bahama backpack style beach chairs and umbrellas. We always have some Tide Pod detergent for use in free washer/dryer in hallway. Lots of hangars for clothes and a There is also extra bedding for the sofa sleeper, if needed. And extra blankets and pillows. In the living room There is a large mounted TV a top a tall dresser with cable and DVD player, and complimentary high-speed WiFi.
The beautiful interior is matched by the breathtaking views from the lanai of the world famous Kaanapali Beach, recently rated the #1 Beach in Hawaii (March of 2023)! You can enjoy a chi-chi on the chaise-lounge and watch the sunsets without even leaving the condo. There is a table and 2 new chairs and a chaise lounger as well. And the kitchen is fully equipped, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful sunrise or sunset views on the lanai with a fresh cooked meal - it is one of the best tables on the island. Or enjoy the lanai views with a take-in meal from the many restaurants next door at Whalers Village Shopping mall. There you can shop for anything you need and dine-in or take out from either high end restaurants or from wonderful fast food places.
The Whaler provides the luxury and convenience of combining the amenities of a hotel complex and staffed front desk with those of a personal condominium. The Whaler is comprised of two 12-story towers. Over the last 10 years, the property has completed over $40 million in renovations, including a newly renovated courtyard with koi ponds, as well as a new hot tub, pool deck tile and new tile and railings on the condo lanais. The Whaler has a beautiful, oceanfront pool, complete with lounge chairs, umbrellas, shaded cabanas, and large hot tub. Immediately adjacent to the pool deck, is the Pool Hale, a staffed towel cabana, where you can get fresh towel exchange to use both at the pool and on the beach, rent beach equipment (snorkel gear, paddle boards, etc.) and beach cabanas and umbrellas. Maui Jim Sunglasses are for sale there as well as Reef Safe Sunscreens. Also on the property is a fully equipped fitness center in the basement of Tower 1. There are 2 BBQ areas at the beach side of each tower. The BBQ's are cleaned daily and are full of propane. We provide BBQ tongs in our condo. There are numerous tables and chairs at each BBQ area. Tower 1 BBQ area also has a fire pit to sit and eat around as you watch the gorgeous sunsets. There is convenient underground parking and a surface parking lot by the gate, bellhop service and high season season valet service. The newly renovated lobby has a large front desk, concierge area and many comfortable sitting areas plus a large gorgeous koa wood table with outlets for working on your computer while you enjoy a cup of coffee provided in the lobby each morning. The well lit lobby has large windows on the east side and large sliding glass doors all along the west and north sides that are always open to the courtyard to see the waterfall and koi ponds. And you can hear the waterfall and feel the ocean breezes. Also, The Whaler just recently completed renovating the 2 tennis courts. And each are lined for the ever growing Pickle Ball game! Tennis and pickle ball rackets/balls are available to guests free of charge at the front desk. Court reservations are needed through the front desk. Enjoy!
Our condo is located 11 stories above the paved beach walkway that stretches the 1 mile length of Ka’anapali beach. Along this walkway are many of Maui’s premier stores and restaurants, as well as many of the exciting activities available on the island. There is an almost infinite amount of tropical activities at your fingertips. The conceirge staff can make you reservations for Surfing lessons, Paddle-boarding, Catamaran and Sailboat excursions, Luaus, Scuba Diving, Snorkel Sails, Whale Watching (Jan. - April), and two top-class golf courses across the street, are just some of the many options that are available right outside the The Whaler complex. If you are feeling even more adventurous, there is a plethora of day-trip adventures you can embark upon. You can take guided, sunrise/sunset tours of Haleakala (or even mountain bike down it!), go zip-lining, horseback riding, hiking, or take a helicopter tour of the island. There is always something incredible to do on Maui, and this condo on Ka’anapali beach is located at the heart of everything. We would love to host you! Mahalo!

    The place was very quiet, nicely decorated and comfortable. However, the staff can make or break business. One woman at the desk was rude and condescending. She was also very unhelpful. Otherwise, we would have rated our stay a 5.

    It was even nicer than we expected! Fully equipped for everything you may need (kitchen, for beach, the bathrooms, linens, etc) and super clean. I only wish there was water in the vending machines or somewhere closer to get filtered water. We didn’t have a car so getting filtered/drinking water and healthy groceries became an issue. But other than that, the accommodations, response of maintenance and staff, and the views, and overall environment were outstanding! Loved it and would definitely stay in the same unit and facilities again. But we’d rent a car next time!

    This was our 3rd stay at the Whaler and I think this has been our favorite unit. Facing the main garden with the koi pond and getting to see both sunrise and sunset is hard to beat. I preferred being south facing in central tower 1 rather than north facing black rock. Obviously a corner unit is the best view but I liked this central location if you’re trying to be active as it’s nice being close to the elevator & trash chute. Tennis, pickleball, easy pool & hot tub access on my favorite stretch of Kaanapali beach make it hard to explore any other resorts. One day we might have to try the Westin. Whalers village direct access also makes it hard to stay anywhere else on Maui. Will be back soon hopefully

    Excellent room and location! Clean, comfortable and well equipped with a nice view and incredible access to the beach, shopping and restaurants. Lots of great amenities are onsite and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room had everything we needed to have fun at the beach (umbrellas, beach chairs, boogie board, multiple snorkels/masks, cooler, etc) and kick back and relax in the room (fully equipped kitchen, comfy furniture, tv with online services, etc). Great location too... super close to Lahaina and Whalers Village with Honolua Bay and everything else the west and north shore of Maui have to offer just a short drive away. If you're looking for a resort that has it all I can't imagine a better place. Zero complaints!

    Stunning property! The pics on VRBO do not do the unit justice, it's bigger, brighter, closer to the water. Just gorgeous! Spotlessly clean and includes a well appointed kitchenette, for a studio unit. And...NO BUGS! James (contact) was quick to reply,previous to our stay, with questions we had. And during our week's stay, a small problem we had with the toilet flusher handle was fixed in short order after James contacted maintenance, with minimal interruption to our vacation.We're already planning next year's visit! Highly recommended!

    My wife is very picky about cleanliness. She loved this place. It was spotless and well supplied. Everything we needed was there. You also have a beautiful view of the beach. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend the property. We also highly recommend the owner. We communicated with him a couple of times. He was always very helpful.

    The Whaler has great views of the beach and you can easily hear the waves from the lanai. The unit had everything we needed including sand chairs, umbrella, and snorkel equipment. Very pleasant and easy transaction with prompt replies to all my questions.

    My wife and I spent a week in this absolutely beautiful condo. Beautiful location, beautiful view, place was spotlessly clean. It also has beach chairs, and umbrellas to use, which was a plus! Absolutely wonderful stay! Would definitely recommend us to anybody! The view from the lanai was spectacular!
