Stayed Jun 15, 2025We always enjoy Baywatch with indoor and outdoor pools and lazy rivers. This particular one had appliance issues. There were not enough towels for all registered guests and not enough parking included and it was questionable if there would be space to park when we arrived.

Stayed May 29, 2025We came here last year and had a pretty good experience, but this year when we walked into the room we immediately smelled a smoky musty smell and I quickly called the front desk to let them know. I have terrible allergies when it comes to that and so I've been miserable since we got here. My kid is also having a lot of troubles with it. Our clothes smell now and their solution was to come upstairs and spray a whole bunch of nasty cleaning spray that made the problem worse. Like when an old lady tries to cover up her smoke smell with some nasty perfume. Then, the TV was broken so I let them know because again, I didn't want to be charged for anything that I didn't break or do. They offered to have somebody come up to the room to fix it and asked me if I gave them permission to enter without us being in here. I said no. When we got back to our room, there was a man standing out side the door about to go in. He was on FaceTime with a friend or something, willy-nilly just standing out in front of our door. He asked me for my door code and I told him no. I I said why don't you use your key? He looked like you worked here but you never know these days. I was also teaching my daughter that you don't just give your door code or your key to some strange man standing outside of your door. So, he tried again to get my door code and I said no. He said he was going to make it shorter or something. Anyway, he came in and changed out the remote for the TV because he had to reprogram it. I'm glad he did work here, but there's always a chance that it's not a good situation. I told the front desk that I said no. And they were going to enter the premises anyway. They said sorry if we didn't give you notice? I don't feel safe here because of that. Then, the hotel called my phone and then since I didn't answer it because we were trying to sleep, they called the room at 11:30 p.m.. I have a little one with me. If you're a parent, you know how frustrating that is. So we are stuck with smelly clothing, stuffed up noses from being allergic to the moldy smokey smell of this place. They also have several pools closed. I'm not sure what happened but the water looks yellow and my kid said it looked like someone puked in the larger one. Looks like we will have to find a new place next year. The positives are that the view is nice.

Stayed Jul 17, 2023Our bedroom door would not shut. The bedroom had a bad musty smell to it. The shower curtain did not close, therefore the bathroom vanity was falling apart from water damage. We were not able to sit on the balcony with our two small children because of the smell of weed the majority of the time we stayed there. This place will not be an option for us to stay in the future.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We were happy to find a nice place on the beach within our budget that rented nightly. We've used Vacasa a few times and happy with their website, reservations, and communications. We can recommend Bay Watch and Vacasa - you never really know what you're going to get until you get there, but overall we had a good time and would come back. --Unit furnished as pictured. (Kitchen is a little more beat-up than the Vacasa photos. Side of fridge is rusty, and one cabinet door is crooked, upper cabs hard to open.) --Maintenance was responsive. They provided the frying pan within an hour. And they came pretty quickly to change the batteries in the smoke detector when it started beeping. --Great location. Beautiful ocean view from kitchen, dining, living, and balcony. --A/C, fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, coffee pot all worked fine. --Resort-provided towels for the pool and we could exchange them each day.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969First, what is good - The ocean view is great. The tenth floor is high enough above the pool that the noise is not annoying. The bathroom appeared clean. The kitchen appeared clean. The air conditioning worked. Second, what is acceptable - The parking garage is cramped requiring special care to park and avoid cars moving in the opposite direction. (Yes, traffic flows both ways instead of in one direction as in modern parking garages.) There is sufficient hot water. It costs $95 to rent a beach umbrella and two beach chairs for three days from the city of North Myrtle Beach. There was a small number of bowls, plates and tableware available. We had to wash dishes in the sink frequently. Third, what is bad - The carpeting looks new, but must be very dirty. After walking on in in white socks, the socks had black bottoms. There is mold on the caulking where the bathtub meets the tile floor. The refrigerator side that could be seen had a great deal of rust. The doors of the refrigerator had several large dents. The door between the living room and kitchen had a large fist sized hole in the upper door panel. The bedroom carpet had not been vacuumed as evidenced by finding a large grape stem on the floor. (Large enough that twenty to thirty grapes must have been attached to it) The side of the sink cabinet by the bath tub was completely deteriorated up to one foot above the floor and was rotting at floor level. During week days, there is no place to buy a meal for breakfast or lunch. Only ice cream cones are available. This resort is at least 1/3 mile from the nearest restaurant. There are no dish towels or dish rags or scrubbers. We used a bathroom washcloth as a dish rag/scrubber and a bath hand towel as a dish towel. If we had wanted to cook on the stove, there were insufficient pots and pans. Fourth, What is unacceptable - The unit was supplied with one small roll of toilet paper. We went to front desk, gave the room number, and asked for more, plus more towels. We were told they would be sent up right away. None ever appeared during the next three days. We bought our own toilet paper at a local grocery store. Fifth, What is odd - The unit was provided with a packet of dishwasher soap. There is no dishwasher in the unit. Conclusion - This unit is not worth the $300+ per night that was paid.

Stayed Aug 10, 2022The stove and refrigerator was rusted really bad. The sink vanity has severe water damage. The cabinets are in bad shape. The beds are old style mattress and hard not to mention the are full size. It rained and our room smelled like mold. But it’s clean I’ll give it that. This place has the potential to be really nice.
