This ground floor unit is a nicely appointed fully remodeled oceanfront property and is only one of two ground floor, one bedroom,1.5 bath units that are available for rent and located on the sought after ocean side of the breezeway. It is a one bedroom, one and a half bathroom unit (680 sq ft) that has spectacular ocean views from the living room, dining, kitchen, and lanai. The unit is tiled throughout. It has been tastefully remodeled to a very high rental standard and is very well maintained by its long term owners who frequent the property.

The kitchen has an island configuration and granite counter tops, high end appliances; flat top stove, fridge with water and ice maker, dishwasher, multi-function microwave oven, garbage disposer and a variety of small appliances including coffee maker, coffee grinder, four slice toaster, blender, rice maker and hand mixer and is fully equipped with everything you will need to enjoy your vacation. There is also a large selection of higher end pots and pans, baking pans, kitchen knives, BBQ tools and ample matching dishes, glasses and cutlery. The living room has a queen sized sofa-bed, a 46 flat screen LCD-HD TV, HD cable box, DVD player, CD player and tropical themed multi-speed ceiling fan.

The dining area has a round rattan glass table with 4 matching tropical armchairs. The private oversized lanai has a chaise lounge and patio table with two armchairs; a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee, sunset cocktails or a romantic oceanfront dinner! Turtles and dolphins can be seen year round, whales in season. The entry hall is very spacious, with a large dresser. The bedroom has a high quality pillow top queen size bed, Hawaiian style furniture, multi-speed ceiling fan and plantation shutters. There is also a digital security safe. The master bathroom has a marble counter top with matching full sized walk-in shower with bench and rain head. The half bath is also nicely appointed. Both bathrooms have Kohler elongated toilets.

This condo is fully equipped with fresh linens and towels, hair dryer, iron/ironing board. All units have beach towels and a cooler. Umbrellas and snorkel gear are not supplied, but are often left behind in the units by other guests – no guarantees. The Kihei Surfside office loans out beach chairs free of charge during regular business hours - Monday to Saturday. Office is closed Sundays and Holidays.

This unit is an excellent choice for couples or active families looking for a clean, comfortable high end oceanfront condo with a spectacular and absolutely unobstructed direct view of the Pacific Ocean and the West Maui mountains and very convenient access to the pool, barbeque area and adjacent 2 acre grass area.

The unit has free, wireless high speed internet and free long distance calling to the United States and Canada. It is also equipped with a state of the art Oracode door lock, whereby each guest is issued a unique code which controls the door only during their stay. No keys!

The Kihei Surfside building is located on the southern end of Kihei near Wailea, right at the north end of Keawakapu Beach, which in addition to being great for walking, sunning, swimming, snorkeling and boogie boarding, is one of the finest white sand beaches you will find anywhere.

    Everything about this property was 5 stars. The location and view were to die for and the property management company handled some issues immediately. It is an older property so some things are outdated but well maintained. The only negative is this unit does not have air conditioning and it can get really warm.

    We would not have stayed here had I known there was no A/C. It was miserable trying to sleep at night when it doesn't cool down. This unit has a great location, but needs a mini split system, or at least a portable ac unit for the bedroom. We had to leave the front door open most days we were home to get some air circulation. Great location but needs AC.

    Awesome location and views. It was not as clean as I’d hoped. It definitely needed more attention to detail; the mirrors were dirty, the shower had long hair on the walls, and the master bedding was not a pleasant smell. (we slept on the pull-out couch bed 1st night) Housekeeping took care of it the next day, and all was good. We were unaware that there was no AC (we didn't fully read into that). However, it was not an issue with the doors open and the master bedroom windows open - in fact, it was wonderful to have the breeze and fresh air.

    We planned a last minute trip to Maui and searched the website until we found this unit which appears to put a ✔️next to all our items on our wish list. Every time I reached out to the property manager Larry, he was very prompt in getting back with me. The check in and check out directions were explained perfectly! Would definitely stay again.     We had a great time during our stay at this condo. The location was perfect. Our daughter enjoyed the large grass lawn. Beach in walking distance is great. I enjoyed morning runs along the beach path.
