This is a beautiful resort. We stayed in a one bedroom unit with amazing views of the Sedona red rocks and the golf course. The heated pool was across the parking lot from the condo. The front desk staff and concierge were both very accommodating. They do charge a resort fee at check in, but it's only $11 per day. We enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen and made several meals in the condo. There are several bars and dining options across the street at The Collective. The in unit washer and dryer were a plus. We would stay here again.
I have stayed at the Ridge before as my sister is an owner there. The one bedroom unit is large and spacious. The Ridge is in a nice location, close to Sedona and Inter. 17. While we liked the location it would have been nice to pick our unit. We wanted a second floor unit but ended up with a ground floor right on the pool. Lots of activity at the pool while we were there so not much privacy out on the patio. Not sure if Home Away can make arrangements to select specific units to stay in but it would be a nice option.
Nicely decorated studio, everything in arm's reach. Hope the owner would consider a king size bed, then it would be 5 stars!
Amazing property, pool areas were great! Love the quiet and peaceful location away from Sedona traffic. Rooms comfortable. Great BBQ availability.
For the most part it was a nice condo but the wifi was not working and you could not get a phone signal in the condo. I called the number and they said the probe;em was at the property and they were working on it but it never worked the 3 days I was there. Also the AC did not seem to be working well. Glad I went in the Spring when it was not really hot.
We stayed in a one bedroom ground floor unit here for 4 days in early April. Interior was exactly as described, clean and well kept. Ideal floor plan, very nicely laid out – not all square corners and right angles, but imaginative use of space. Nice kitchen, decent mid-level appliances with granite countertops and breakfast bar. Dishwasher is rather loud. Nicely sized dining and living areas, very comfortable. The only disappointment here was that the “fireplace” was really an electric fake unit rather than the gas we were expecting. There was an apartment size washer/dryer combo which was great. Bathroom is spacious, with separate shower and large soaking tub, large vanity area. The shower had a very vigorous spray which almost hurt, and we wish that there had been some valve to reduce the spray volume. The bedroom is large with a good sized pseudo-walk-in closet and plenty of storage. The HVAC was efficient, quiet and unobtrusive. The bed, linens and pillows were all very comfortable, as good as most 4 star hotels we have stayed in, and the development was quiet in the evening – we slept well. It was great to have a small porch (balcony for 2nd floor units) accessible through sliding glass doors to sit outside with a morning cup of coffee or evening wine. Issues. First, our wireless internet access was incredibly slow to the point of being useless at times. It took over 1 minute to download 1 MB of data – pathetic. No excuse for that. Second, if you make a reservation through VRBO as we did, you are NOT reserving a particular unit, you will get whatever unit is available when you check in, as in a hotel. Don’t pay any attention to the “balcony view” photos that accompany the listing – your unit is guaranteed NOT to have the ones shown. Your unit could be anywhere in the development. When we first checked in, we were given a 2nd floor unit which we were told had a great view from the balcony. When we walked in, we discovered that all we could see was the wall of the next building 20 yards away, so we went back to registration and asked to switch to a different unit. They were very accommodating, but there were only two other units available. One had a decent view, so it worked out. But try to check in early so that you can switch, otherwise you will just be stuck. Third, think twice about taking a unit close to a pool, because we found that someone played annoying “high energy, upbeat” music there all day. Goodbye peace & quiet.
