Water’s View at Schaefer’s Cove

My fiancée and I truly enjoyed our weekend stay at this property. It was peaceful and quiet while still being close enough to all of the key places we wanted to visit. We greatly appreciated the toiletries that were provided! Everything was VERY clean, and we didn't experience any issues during our stay. Would definitely recommend!

Tucked away and quiet. Super clean and well stocked. The setting by the water made it even more peaceful. Proximity to Ohiopyle State Park can’t be beat. We didn’t get to do as much as we wanted in Ohiopyle because it was cold, but we made the best of it. (For a food option, Paddler’s Pizza is so good!)Check in was smooth and the instructions provided were clear. Hosts were very responsive and kind. Would recommend to others!

Our stay at Water’s View was wonderful. The property is beautiful, and the apartment was very clean and cozy. The VRBO listing was accurate regarding hiking, biking, dining and local attractions. I would definitely recommend this property to family or friends visiting the Ohiopyle area.

If you're looking for a place to stay close to the town of Ohiopyle but with a quieter, peaceful environment, this is your place! The space was immaculate and had all the little amenities that we needed for a long-weekend stay. We loved that it was so close to all that we enjoyed Falling Waters, the GAP bike trail and hiking. A lovely way to spend our 40th Anniversary!

Clean, cozy, and very thoughtful accomodations. This stay reminds me so much of the joy of the early and less commercialized days of these types of stays. There were multiple thoughtful touches and courtesy small but useful amenities. The directions were solid and it was such a great place to come back to after a busy day of rafting and hiking. We'd definitely look up this place again if we're back in the area!

This getaway was exactly what I was hoping for—clean, quiet, and wonderfully restful. The setting provided the perfect backdrop for reading, writing, and quiet meditation. While the rental is tucked away, it’s equipped with all the essential amenities you might need. Just remember to bring your own groceries, as the nearest town—whether for dining out or picking up supplies—is several miles away. The nearby hiking trails offer a beautiful opportunity to spend the afternoon immersed in nature’s beauty.

The entire experience was amazing! The housing was super clean and well stocked with bath towels and bedding. The location was a piece of paradise.

Right outside Ohiopyle state park, it only took maybe 10 minutes to drive to the main parking lot. The property is beautiful.We relaxed a couple nights by the stream. The inside is also very nice. The host thought of everything. Would highly recommend.

We so enjoyed our stay at Water’s View. We were close to Kentuck Knob and Fallingwater to tour them. We enjoyed hiking to the Cascades and Cucumber Falls. The Ohiopyle Falls were wonderful. At Water’s View we had everything we needed and the setting was so peaceful and lovely. I hope we can visit again sometime during the fall season.

This is our second time staying at Water's View at Schaefer's Cove and we absolutely love it! It's a great place to stay! Couldn't ask for anything more. I highly recommend it!

It was such a perfect place for a weekend away. We went specifically for a reading weekend and this place was perfect! Cozy place and the hosts supply you with a lot of variety in coffee, tea, etc. Everything you could possibly need is there and it was so clean! They added a tv in the living room which was a nice addition that you can’t see in the pictures. Loved it!!!

Winter stay to ski nearby. A bit out of the way, but what a beautiful property. Peaceful. Had a small issue with check in and owner handled wonderfully. I would love to stay there again.

If you're looking for a wonderfully appointed Ohiopyle property that is close to the park and restaurants while giving you the feeling of being tucked away in the woods, this is it! The property is perfectly appointed and spectacularly clean, and allows you to relax and enjoy nature, take a walk along a stream, read a book in a cozy living room, or prepare a meal for a night in after a hike. We stayed in January, which was intentional to experience the snowy creek-side views, and were not disappointed. Check in was incredibly simple, and the property owners added little touches (like candy bowls, drinks in the fridge, and a closet with toiletries) that made it feel like home. And I can't forget to mention Boots the cat, who greeted us upon arrival and was an adorable part of the experience. Thanks for having us, we'll come back so see the property in the summer!

If you are seeking a pristine, completely appointed, secluded paradise, stay here. Andrea and Tage are amazing and we immediately felt like we’d known them for years. The property is beautiful as are the grounds. Located close to a variety of outdoor activities, historical sites and some of the most breathtaking vistas in the state.

This was our very first experience getting a Vacation Rental. And what a wonderful experience it was! Water’s Edge is fantastic. The property is serene and quiet -- sitting by the creek next to a fire was so relaxing. The owners seem to really care about this place. From little personal touches like fall decor inside or handwritten notes (we LOVED the local apples btw), to the cushions left to use for the outdoor chairs by the creek…. All very much appreciated! Everything inside was clean and cozy, and the outside area features gorgeous stonework and landscaping. The living space itself is a finished apartment built above an attached 2-car garage, to the owner’s primary residence. We met the owners – they were wonderful. The best, however, had to be the outside cat on the property. “Boots” was there to greet us the moment we first pulled in the driveway, and there to hang-out with us anytime we were outside. Loved Boots!! Inside, there is one cozy bedroom and one bathroom. The skylight in the bathroom with side mirrors gives one the impression they are looking up at woods and wide-open sky. Very nicely thought-out. The living area has plenty of seating with a couch and lounge chair, and there is a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, micro, and stove. Inside the front door is a nice little foyer area to take off your shoes and hang your coat, everything else is upstairs. Looking forward to coming back next year!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property nestled in the woods bordering the Ohiopyle State Park. The attention to details was so apparent and it was a great place to return after a day of hiking.

We had an amazing stay at Andrea's home! The apartment was exceptionally clean, with a cozy bed and ample, fresh-smelling sheets and blankets. The location is idyllic and we enjoyed sitting by the creek. The home is exactly as pictured, with many welcoming touches. Communication with our hosts was excellent and they provided clear directions. We look forward to returning to the Laurel Highlands and staying at Water's View again; thank you for hosting us!

What an amazing stay! From the moment we booked the place, Andrea and Tage had phenomenal communication and were so helpful! When we arrived, the place was exactly as pictured, incredibly clean, and had final touches that made us feel right at home! The cat, boots, was a lovely greeter when we would come and go from the driveway! Thank you for hosting us! It was the perfect weekend getaway!

Nice place , very clean, hosts were very down to earth. We live in a rural and secluded area at home, so this fit us just fine. Plan on returning in the near future.

Andrea and Tage were great hosts! The accommodations were very comfortable and quiet and in pretty surroundings. We spent most of our time during the day exploring Ohiopyle but it was nice to have a place to relax and recharge each evening. We enjoyed our daily greetings from Boots the cat too. The unit had everything we could need. Highly recommend.
