Top O' The Knob, Private Entrance, Romantic Getaway, Private Deck, and Fire Pit

It is hard to find an affordable place to stay in Asheville and Top of the Knob doesn't disappoint. It is very spacious, far larger than a hotel room and the front porch is nice and a great place to just sit and enjoy. We were about 15 min from downtown which was very doable. Highly recommend. The garden is fabulous too!

Top Of The Knob was the perfect place for a quiet getaway very clean, perfect setting with a beautiful view . Great distance to our visit at the Biltmore . Patti & Ken were so pleasant and informative. The outdoor fire pit was a great extra and we enjoyed and quiet evening there, looking at the stars. We hope to go back again

Patti and Ken are wonderful hosts. They contacted us in advance to make sure our check-in would be smooth. They greeted us on our arrival and gave us some tips for enjoying Asheville. The room was lovely, and the area was very peaceful. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Ken and Patti were great hosts. The room was much larger than we expected, very clean, and all the creature comforts we needed were there. They left left lots of written instructions covering everything you could think to ask. We would definitely stay with them again!

I enjoyed this room very much. The host were also kind and warm with their greetings. I appreciated how close it was to down town but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. This is an attached apartment so you can here coughing and other noises from the host. It still was very private and felt like our own place.

We loved our stay at Top of the Knob! The view from the cabin was lovely, and the inside was very comfortable. We loved the soft bed, and the two shower heads were awesome. Patti and Ken were great as well - so communicative and accommodating! We would recommend it to anyone visiting Asheville.

Great stay, the host were more than commendating with great communication. Loved the jetted tube, comfortable king bed, double showers and fire pit. The cost of the fire wood is an addictional 20 so keep that in mind. There is a door at the end of the hallway that conjoins the space to the main home but no issues with them using it, just to keep in mind. Parking was not too bad once you do it the first time, I recommend you back into the parking space once your drive in, so your car is facing the exit to make things easier upon departure each time.

Ken and Patty greeted us with a warm welcome and were eager to share recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The cabin was absolutely perfect—just like our hosts—and gave us true Adirondack vibes. On our last day, it even snowed, and through the falling flakes emerged the most beautiful sunrise.

Host was very nice. Location very close to trendy areas. The stay was very clean and quiet.

This was a great place to stay for a little weekend getaway. Ken and Patty were very kind & helpful getting us settled in and giving recommendations for our weekend. The room was comfortable and clean, and the location made it easy for us to access where we wanted to visit in Asheville while also being a good place to rest. Note that there is not the best sound-proofing between the room and the main house, so we did hear a bit, mainly during the day/evening. It wasn't super disruptive, but may be helpful to know for others exploring a place to stay.

My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay. Ken and Patti were friendly, attentive hosts and very responsive. The space was very clean and spacious, the bed comfortable, and the AC unit worked well and was really quiet. We especially enjoyed the fire pit and the nicely landscaped yard.

The Top O'the Knob is just as described. It was a tranquil location to use as home base while visiting the area. Ken and Patti greeted me warmly when I arrived.

Everything was just right from the description, communication, rental...I cannot make one suggestion for improvement.

It's a lovely bnb, truly living up to it's name Top of the Knob. I found the driveway a little intimidating getting in and out but it was worth the effort. Loved all the little touches that made it so nice. The hot tub was a true bonus and having a makeup mirror was also a treat . Great advice in finding groceries and on my department to Downtown Ashville. Wonderful hosts!

We had a lovely stay here this past weekend. Patti and Ken were waiting for us when we pulled up and were very welcoming and gave us all the information we needed, after that we really didn’t see them, which was nice because it felt private. It’s very peaceful, and the scenery is amazing. The place had everything we could need and was very spacious with good wifi, too. We mostly just used this place as a place to sleep, so it was very convenient how close it was to downtown and other outdoor activities.

This place was perfect for a single lady traveling solo. It was immaculate and very comfortable. The outside spaces to just sit and relax were so peaceful and a great place to enjoy a good book. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. All needed amenities were provided. A quiet and beautiful place to retreat to after a busy day visiting the sites in Asheville.

The location was great for our stay- close to the Biltmore and Arboretum. The property was clean, spacious, and comfortable . The landscaping was full of spring blooms. The owners were very friendly and helpful with suggestions for sites to see and restaurants to partake. Although it was not a problem, the property is connected to the owner’s main house.

Everything was so nice even though I went at a time when it was cold (March). Only drawback was that the driveway was very steep and my vehicle was unable to make the sharp turn to enter the property. No problems, though, as the owners explained how to do it. Would recommend this place to others.

Loved the comfortable bed and the hosts were helpful and available! It was high up so we had nice sunrises out the window as well as sunsets on the porch.

The place was just as described and easy to find. Even though it’s in a neighborhood it felt very private. Exceptionally clean and set up perfect for a place to hang out and sleep when we weren’t touring the area. Will definitely re-book the next time we’re headed to Asheville.

We had tickets to the Glass exhibition and didn't want hotel. The cabin is at the top of a narrow, steep driveway, on a less than desirable road. But the cabin was perfect for us! Clean, quiet, beautiful grounds and everything we wanted. We hadwonderful

We thoroughly enjoyed our Labor Day weekend stay at Top O' the Knob, which is aptly named. Ken and Patti are gracious hosts and welcomed us before, during and after our visit to their spotless and meticulously maintained chalet. I feel very fortunate we were able to secure this property despite my late near last minute search for a 40th anniversary weekend getaway location on what proved to be a very busy travel weekend. Highly recommend this location. It was extremely homey and a very relaxing stay with some much needed comfort after a long travel day and a visit to Biltmore. Thanks for your hospitality and sharing your lovely space with us.

This was my first time using one of these. The places was nice, clean and well organized. The hosts (Ken and Patti) were great, very accommodating. Only stayed 2 nights so we were not at the place very much, but would definitely consider staying there again.

My husband and I stayed 4 nights at this great place. Check in was easy, and the hosts communicated with us very clearly prior to arrival. They greeted us when we arrived and let us know to text them if we needed anything. The room is spacious and clean. It had dishes for two which was nice to have at our disposal. The little refrigerator worked well for our needs. We appreciated the separate air conditioning unit and overhead fan which kept the room nice and cool. The bathroom has two sinks which is very convenient, and the shower is a walk-in which makes it accessible to most people. The bed was comfortable and sheets nice and clean. The property is well-maintained and the backyard feels like you're a million miles away even though it's conveniently located. We did not get the chance to use the fire pit, but would love to the next time we stay. Overall, a great experience, and we would book again!

This chalet is located on a private wooded property with easy access to Asheville and the surrounding region. Ken and Patti were great hosts, friendly and eager to make our stay enjoyable.
