A recent guest just said: "If you want a home in the mountains with the BEST sunsets of your life- STAY HERE. The views truly cannot be beat! It’s about 35 minutes from Asheville up some mountainous roads, but worth every second for the views from the home. They look like a painting. The home has everything needed for a wonderful long stay for a large family. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!!"

Are you a fan of a great evening out Food & Wine says that you'll "crave way more time" exploring the foodie scene of Asheville, but our family favorites have to be White Duck Taco Shop and 12 Bones Smokehouse for lunch, while we head towards Curate and Bouchon for dinner. While you're in town, check out the Biltmore Estate, the largest home in the United States accompanied with beautiful gardens to tour and a winery to enjoy.
After exploring, heading home will get you long range mountain views, amazing sunsets and relaxing with family and friends around the firepit. Whether it's just a few of you, or the whole family, the Blue Ridge Cabin has four bedrooms and can sleep up to eleven.
Our family of 6 stayed here for a week from 10/7-10/14. Our GPS took us straight to the property. Glad we didn't come in at night time though, as the twists and turns up the mountain are tricky the first time. The best part of this property is definitely the views! The kitchen is well stocked with dishware/cookware. Bathrooms were well stocked with shampoo/conditioner, toilet paper and plenty of towels. Six adults with 2 bathrooms did require some planning, but overall was not a big problem. First time up the steep driveway was a little scary- we have all-wheel drive vehicles and weather was mild, so access was not a big issue. Plenty of games and puzzles provided by the host too for game night! Also, there is a huge dining table, perfect for everyone to gather for meals and such. Access to Asheville and surrounding areas was easy...about a 40 minute drive to get to most of the activities we wanted to do. The trees were starting to change to fall colors, and we spent a lot of time out on the deck enjoying the views. Our host, Tami is great and quickly responded to any questions we had. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin with our family. It was very well equipped with everything we needed. We loved the sunset view each night from the upper deck and enjoyed making s’mores at the outdoor fire pit. Wolf Laurel pool, tennis and pickleball courts were fun for our grandchildren as well as the fishing pond. We highly recommend this property and hope to stay there again in the future.
Perfect location. Ample space for our large family-6 kids. Cozy & well equipped. Beautiful views. Loved it!
Following a hectic past several months characterized by too much work and a major renovation of our home in Princeton, NJ, my spouse and I met old friends from Winter Park, FL and Tami's wonderful mountain chalet was our oasis for a long weekend. Between the views which were drop dead gorgeous as advertised, we caught up, cooked, hiked, and generally decompressed in this idyllic setting. Trips to Asheville and Weaverville provided added dimensions of fun and interest. The chalet was exceptionally well equipped, comfortable, and boasted plenty of space for us to relax in. The house's incredibly diverse library of books provided something for virtually anyone's interests, from civil war history, to travel, to secret societies, and novels. During the course of our visit, I needed to clarify some matters with our Host and Tami was exceptionally responsive and helpful. A great long weekend by any measure!
We had such a great stay at Tami’s home. It was so well equipped that we truly felt like we were at home. We loved every minute of our stay! We had fires outside and roasted marshmallows, we went sledding, movie nights, and my husband even skied from the house to Wolf Laurel Resort, and skied back to the house. Thanks for a great stay!
Overall nice place, views were great. Exactly what we were wanting.
The property is a great location for easy access to the ski resort. The property is well stocked for items needed during the stay and was very cozy.
We enjoyed our stay in this property located almost on the top of the mountain. We could admire the panoramic view from a suite, a bedroom, the living room and the balconies on the first and second floor. We liked spending our evenings near the fireplace with a cocoa and playing games that were at our disposal. This place is very comfy and perfect for families who want to retreat from a hectic city life.
