Stayed Jan 30, 2026We had a wonderful time at wine down chalet. The hosts were excellent at communication. The house was stocked with everything you could need. Cozy and clean and the perfect amount of space for 2 large families. Will definitely book again in the future.

Stayed Nov 27, 2025Place was nice and clean. Plenty of amenities. Our big family enjoyed our time hanging out around the fireplace and playing games. Owners were very accommodating and responsive if I had any questions.

Stayed Aug 14, 2025Great place to stay for a large group! The open kitchen was nice and roomy, we had everything we needed. Our group included six adults, four children, and an infant and we had plenty of room. The kids were never bored. The dining table fit our entire group with no problem. Nice peaceful area with plenty of wildlife to see. Thanks for hosting us!

Stayed Jun 5, 2025The property was nice. The owner was great about responding. Loved the information book about the area. Enjoyed the deck.Lots of beds and quality bedding, and towels. The only complaint, the AC in the loft did not cool the space down. Glad that they had ceiling fans.

Stayed Jul 20, 2024The property was clean and large enough for a big group however, it really needed some updating, especially on the deck. We had looked forward to spending time outside, but never Used the deck because the furniture was not inviting, and the deck really needed to be refinished. We had a 16 month old with us and I would not recommend bringing young children because the slats were wide enough for them to fall through not only on the deck, but also in the house from the main floor to the bottom floor. The spiral staircase seemed dangerous because it was so small and the steps were so narrow that we never went down there. This would be a great property for someone with older children or a large family gathering.

Stayed Jun 16, 2024Our group had 4 adults and 4 teenagers. The upstairs loft was perfect for the kids to sleep and the downstairs pool table and gaming options were great for their night time entertainment. The location is nice and quiet, but close to beech mountain and Banner Elk restaurants. Also, there are plenty of fantastic hiking trails within an hour drive. We spent most of our time outside venturing around the area, but the house was a great home base for eating and relaxing. We would stay here again if ever back in the area.
