Secluded Luxury Mountain Chalet near downtown Fayetteville

This house fits our family just right (7 adults, 5 kids). The large yard and long driveway give the kids plenty of space to play outside and ride their bikes. We cook all of our meals in the kitchen, which has everything we need. The location is great, close to all kinds of activities.

The pictures online are a little outdated and the beds were not the most comfortable. Other than that, it accommodated all of our needs and was in a great location. Watching my hounds run around in the back yard was cool and it was close to everything we needed and the things we had planned to do. Overall, it was a great experience, and we all had a really great time. Thanks to the hosts and owners. My girlfriend left a necklace there and she contacted bill who will be mailing her necklace back to her. Thank you for that.

We had a wonderful stay in this home with our family of nine! The house was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and spacious, with plenty of sleeping areas, several bathrooms, and lots of spots to relax and hang out together. Check-in was smooth, and everything was easy from start to finish.The location couldn’t have been better—tucked away in a peaceful, quiet area that truly felt like we had the mountains to ourselves, yet just minutes from everything we wanted to do in and around New River Gorge National Park. Every activity was within a 10-minute drive!We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would absolutely stay again.

Comfortable stay, great for families and close to National Park

We had a great week here. It was spacious and met the needs of our family - 4 adults, 2 kids, 1 dog. Location was perfect, close to restaurants and activities in the New River Gorge National Park, but the house is on a large property that is peaceful and secluded. Enjoyed the gas grill for some burgers and dogs and especially enjoyed the stone fire pit.

We're a family of 14. Eight adults and six children ages 2 years to 12 years. Plus two large dogs...This house was perfect for our needs. The house is located at the end of a county lane and although there were other houses nearby we never saw or heard anyone. There was a large yard for the kids to play and a fenced backyard for the dogs. A basement with game table and TV allowed the kids to have their own space. The kitchen was large and well equipped. I brought things like a large pot and baking sheets but didn't need to get any of that out of the car. There was a wonderful fire pit which we enjoyed and a fireplace in the house. Plenty of towels and even towels and bowls for the dogs. Loved that the house is located near the New River Gorge National Park and Babcock State Park. We had no trouble with the WiFi or cell phone reception. It was difficult to find a house that would accept our large family and our large dogs so I was very happy to find this house and very pleased with everything. Just to note - there are stairs to the basement and to the upstairs but our almost 3 year old had no problem navigating them. The master bedroom is on the 1st floor so if anyone has issues with stairs they can use that bedroom and bath. Lots of full bathrooms which is really nice for a large group!Perfect place to spend our family Christmas. No one wanted to leave!

We rented for our family of 15 to gather for Thanksgiving and the house exceeded our expectations. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep, the kitchen was huge and well equipped, plus plenty of seating for eating. The grounds were beautiful! The extra plus was there was a fenced area for dogs, and even a tray on the floor with dog dishes, along with dog towels for wiping paws as they came inside. The owners thought of everything! It's a beautiful home and we highly recommend this property.

The house was a great fit for our family. The right amount of bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen had what we needed to fix our family meals each day. The yard was great for the grandchildren to run around and play outside. We used the fire pit in the evening. While there are neighbors, you don’t see them or hear them.

This property is well suited for a large group. It is minutes from Fayetteville, is quiet and easy to get to. The house is clean and updated and the owners provide all of the things you would need to be comfortable. The instructions and communications are very good. It was perfect for our group and we really have no complaints.

My family spent a long weekend at this property in October of 2024 and we had a very enjoyable time! We had a mix of family members (people in their 70s, 40’s, 30s, and young children) and everyone enjoyed the house and property! The ability spread out in the house is great! We had kids playing downstairs in the game room, adults watching football and cooking upstairs, and another group outside around the fire pit. We loved this ability to all do different things, yet still be together! Cooking in the kitchen is very easily and even has two separate sinks! There are plenty of bathrooms, so you are never having to wait, and we never ran out of hot water. There are two decks and one screened-in patio which allow you to spread out outside the house as well. The property is very pet friendly and there is a very nice fenced in dog run area out back. The laundry area was very handy and convenient as well as access to the garage. Another great feature of this property is its proximity to the town of Fayetteville and outdoor activities at New River Gorge, yet, because of the size of the property you feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere! We LOVED the privacy and seclusion of this home and at the same time being close to everything. Stargazing from the outdoor deck is great as you are away from the city lights. We loved the outdoor fire pit and having those built-in stone seats are perfect (height, distance from the fire, etc.).

They pictures do not do this property justice. The pictures make the property look a bit dated but it is not. Spacious, clean, comfortable, private and welcoming. Our twin grandsons enjoyed pitching a tent in the loft. Our grown kids loved the privacy in the basement bunkroom next to the gameroom. The only complaint i have was that the master only had a queen bed. Must property we spend this amount of money master hold a king. Besides that we had enough bathrooms, sleeping, seating and cooking space.

Great large house well suited for a large family, extended family and the like. House was clean and well stocked. It was out in the woods and only a few miles from Fayettville, activities, trails, rafting and excellent restaurants.
