if the mattresses were replaced and the hot water improved[two of us could not take a warm shower within hours of each other.] this A frame cabin would be a great place to stay again. However, with back problems already this would not be a place my husband and I would want to try to sleep again.Perhaps a younger couple without these issues would rate it A . We inadvertently locked ourselves out and the owner could not have been nicer or more responsive. Also I have never stayed in a cabin that was as clean or smelled as fresh. There were plenty of towels and linens and they smelled great too. Cudos to their housekeeping service..
Was a very nice stay in clean updated rooms. New carpet and mattress. Now on to updating linens. Old and dingy. Friendly check in/out.
The cabin was everything we hoped it would be, nice location for fishing & very clean.
We went over New Years weekend and it was wonderful! Clean, good information provided by the owner prior to and upon arrival, and had just about everything we needed. Easy to get to town and not a bad drive to other area attractions. But 2 things to be aware of for future visitors: The average temp while we were here was in the low 30s. Even with the heaters provided in the cabin, we still had some difficulty with keeping warm. One door had some slight gapping in one corner and since the cabin is mostly elevated from the ground, the floors were always freezing. Easy fixes with some of the extra towels that were provided and doubling up on socks. Also, when arriving there were very little lights around the turn off and drive up to the cabin. There are a few drop offs and the turn into the cabin driveway is steep if you go at the wrong angle. Make sure you arrive while it is still daylight to get the lay of the land for your safety. Otherwise, I can't say enough nice things about this place. They provided more towels than we ever expected, the hot tub was clean and warm when we arrived, it was pet friendly and so easy to book, perfect amount of room for 2 people or a small family, and great outdoor space that is making us consider a second trip in the spring or summer to be able to use. Would definitely recommend this location!
Great weekend away in a gorgeous area. Cabin was clean and quiet. Very relaxing
Really enjoyed staying here for a few nights. Everything was clean and tidy. Location is cozy and perfect for a relaxing time in Summersville. Highly recommend!
The A frame was cozy and in a convenient location. We had a pleasant stay.
Stay was amazing as always. Comfortable, clean, and just overall outstanding. It was our third stay and we will definitely be back again. We were here for our Honey Moon, and our one year anniversary so we came to a conclusion its gonna be our yearly wedding anniversary tradition. We absolutely love it. Will always recommend.
Was looking for a secluded, quiet stay and that's exactly what we found. It was an enjoyable time.
The property was nice and very quiet. A few issues like the back storm door was falling off the door facing and one of the outlets didn't work in the bedroom but overall 100% satisfied with the stay.
No privacy as suggested. Back door falling off. Mice ate into our chips, bread etc. Had to buy our own trash bags.. Amenity included a propane gas grill. Upon losing the electric for 14 hours do to a thunderstorm and unable to cook on the electric stove our saving grace was that gas grill. UNTIL we opened the lid a saw the most disturbing site. The grill was completely encased in a 1/2 inch thick mold. Unsafe to use but even more concerning was the lack of response from ownership after we called. There was no reply or consideration for our dilema. Just some elbow grease at some point from ownership to clean that pathetic grill between visitors. What a shame, a lazy one at that.
Great location. So many things to do. Property was simple but perfect for a fun weekend.
Perfect for a friend getaway and very close to the lake. Fire pit and grill came in handy. Seclusion is a plus.
This was our second time renting this property. Michael was super responsive to all of my communications. The only comment I would make is that the mattress in the downstairs bedroom is super firm.
Great place!
It was a very cozy and entertaining cabin and area to enjoy! However there was a rat problem and the first night we were there the rat got into all of our chips. The water pressure could be much better and routine cleaning of the hottub but other than that it was a beautiful and wonderful place to get out and enjoy nature and the warmth the cabin offers!
My stay at the Chalets on the Lake was great. The property managers make it a very easy check in and check out process. Michael even went above and beyond by jumping my car that died while packing up my belongings. Will definitely return!
Had a great weekend at the cabin!! Very peaceful and relaxing!! First time to Summerville and enjoy the area!!
