If you are looking for gentle ski on/off with an amazing view of Big Sky you should look at this place! This was the perfect location for 3 couples with each couple getting an en-suite king size bedroom and another room left over. The hot tub was one of the best private hot tubs I've ever experienced with gorgeous views of sunset over the mountain. House was stocked with all the essentials, and the separate entry heated ski locker room was a unique feature that, if the weather had cooperated, would have made skiing after checking out far more convenient than most rentals. A couple of unusual but manageable twists are crossing the ski trail with bags when checking in/out and the lack of garage for cars at this price point, but it was still worth it for the access and views it provides.

This was the perfect property for our stay on a fishing trip/reunion with life long friends. Extremely comfortable and spacious with fabulous views. Very well appointed with high end finishes and all the extras that made a perfect setting for celebrating after long days on the Madison River. The host goes above and beyond with pre-arrival communication to make your arrival seamless and welcoming. Don't pass up a chance to stay in this home if looking in Big Sky as it will exceed your expectations.

Beautiful views

Great view, house was clean and spacious. Host was great to work with. Off season so very quiet. Had a guided fly fishing trip using a guide in the host's book--that was so fun. Hiked Beehive, Lava Lake, and Ousel Falls--loved each of them! A wonderful week.

Everything was fantastic! Beautiful home, great location, easy all around! Plus we saw a moose and baby!

We loved everything about the house and the setting was amazing. The one issue we had was carrying the luggage and groceries down those steep outdoor steps. There are also 17 steps indoors to get to the bedrooms. This should be noted in the description of the property. A person with a disability or a handicap could not stay here. We had an 80 year old and two 76 year olds and the steps were difficult, especially outside.We paid a cleaning fee and I do not feel we should have had to take the trash to the dump. Also, we had no issue with taking the sheets and towels to the laundry room, but was it really necessary that we wash and dry a load before we left?

This is a beautiful property in Moonlight Basin. The views are unbelievable, and the house is immaculate. It is stocked with everything you can imagine and more! Our four adult children had the best time relaxing in the hot tub after a day of hikes and exploring the area. This was our first time to Big Sky, and we will definitely return. For those of you like us who have never been here before, Moonlight Basin is a private home community at the top of the road that runs through Big Sky. It is about a five minute drive from the Big Sky resort and 10 minutes to the town center. It is a great location and we much preferred being at the top of the mountain than down towards town center as you cannot beat these views. Susan is an incredible host and goes beyond just stocking and owning the home. Our flight was canceled. We got on a later flight that day and she gave us perfect driving directions and had her phone on late at night in case we got lost. I feel her pricing is very reasonable and I recommend this home to anyone that wants to spend a relaxing week in Big Sky- summer or winter.

Our family of nine, including our first granddaughter Maisie, enjoyed a wonderful stay in Moonlight Magic for a week. We mountain biked, hiked, dined, played games together at this lovely VRBO. The view is spectacular. The clouds, the mountains, the sunsets, the birds, all phenomenal. Highly recommend and it's a Ski in, Ski out!!

There were seven of us in our family that took a first time vacation to Big Sky, Montana. We stayed here and were so happy that we did! This Home has everything!! The owner is great with communication and organization! We appreciated items left from other guests in the kitchen, such as spices and condiments. That helps a lot when trying to save on groceries. The views are truly amazing!! We will definitely stay here again if we come back up this way.

We had a wonderful trip. The skiiing was great for the spring and the ski in ski out was wonderful. This home had everything we needed in more. We were blown away and felt right at home. The whole process was great and the communication with the host couldn't have been better. We can't wait to come back.

Enjoyed our family 1 week ski stay in luxury accommodation. Very well appointed kitchen, clean and good size bed rooms / individual baths, easy ski in ski out, the ski garage was awesome, the hot tub relaxing and the view . . . wow the view!! Highly recommend and would absolutely stay here again.

Moonlight Magic offers spectacular views from the great room and master bedroom. From the spacious hot tub, you can see mountains too, including Lone Peak - jaw-dropping! The great room, kitchen, master bedroom suite, outdoor deck and bathroom are on the main floor when you walk in. The two king rooms and the one queen room all have their own bathroom and exit to hot tub. The kitchen appliances were all state of the art and there are two large refrigerators and a wine cooler. Everything is well stocked and well labeled, which allowed us to get into vacation quicker than usual.

We arrived at Big Sky on a Monday of a holiday weekend, just after a fresh 13 inches of snow had fallen the night before. Getting into the property required some skillful snow driving under these conditions, but in more typical weather, access would be much easier.Once inside, the home was an absolute dream, offering breathtaking mountain views and a hot tub with one of the best vistas we’ve ever experienced. Susan, the host, provided excellent information, ensuring there were no unexpected surprises. The home is incredibly well-stocked with amenities and thoughtfully organized, making everything easy to find.Next time we visit, we plan to load up on groceries and stay in the entire time—it truly delivers that perfect snowy cabin-in-the-woods experience. With the heavy snowfall, the more advanced ski-back trail was difficult to locate, possibly due to a hidden sign, but the other ski-back option worked perfectly.Overall, this is one of the best areas to stay in Big Sky. Easy access and great location

We took full advantage of the great location and fantastic views. The home was perfect for ski in/ski out. It was well equipped and comfortable. The property manager and owner were great to work with and very accommodating. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Seven med school friends on our annual ski trip for the 16 th year going. This was our fifth time at Big Sky and this place had the best view by far of the beautiful resort. It also has the biggest hot tub and easiest ski out/ski in access. Host was responsive and made sure our stay was easy and fun. Highly recommend without reservation!

I gave Moonlight Magic 5 stars because I couldn't give 6 stars!First - Kudos to Susan for being so responsive and accessible. Great communication via text and for explaining everything so accurately through a welcome package.Second - Location, location, location. This place is completely ski in/out. The walk from the front door is literally to the ski run. The ski run leads down to Madison 8 and can be handled by a newbie (We had one with us). Very easy. Skiing back in takes a little navigation, but is also very easy. Just follow the instructions provided.Third - The condo itself is so well stocked! Sometimes VRBO properties don't have toiletries,coffee filters, cooking accessories (oil, spices, paper towels, napkins, utensils), games, plenty of towels, soaps, etc.....). Buy the basics and enjoy your stay.Fourth - The condo is amazing. Several people in our party said these were the best mattresses ever! The views out the window...AMAZING. We even watched fireworks on New Years Eve from our windows. The heated floors are amazing as well.Fifth - Can you say heated ski closet? Killer feature of this property. Walk out to the heated ski closet and grab your boots off the boot heater. Get dressed watching Sportscenter on the TV and walk 12 steps to the ski run. We loved this place. When you don't have to worry a bit about anything related to the place your staying and it exceeds expectations, your vacation gets so much better.

This is an outstanding place to stay. The home was well stocked and well organized. We had 3 small children in the group and it was especially well set up for them. Each room has its own bathroom which makes it great for a family trip with young parents and grandkids. The ski in/out trail is right by the door, and is easy and convenient. The host and property manager were responsive and easy to work with, and quick to help when power went out for a couple of hours! We would absolutely recommend this home to others and would gladly stay here again.

Summer Rutt Run stay for 3 days. Worked perfectly, w plenty of room for 6 adults, 2 children. Grandparents, children, grandchildren. Views can’t be beat. Clean, really well appointed, close to ski hill. Everything worked. Parking area about 20 yds from door and up a few steps, could use a few updated pots and pans. Part of side by side duplex. Excellent property overall.
