Beautiful place to stay if you want to retreat from the busy city life. For older kids and teens I'm not sure if it's fun for a week unless they have somewhere and something to do. It depends on the kid. We had three girls (9,13 and 16 years old) They found something to do. As long as the kids have some entertainment it should be fine. For adult couples I would say it's a nice retreat and can be romantic too. Overall I have no complaints. It was nice to have a kitchen full equipped with a BBQ near by, a working hot tub and a sauna. The fire pit was nice too. I enjoyed my stay there. If you don't mind kayaking in a swampy lake there is one down the street one minute drive. It's called Lac Lili. If you drive up more down the road about 5 minutes away is a private beach. I recommend bringing your vehicle with the kayaks there. It's a nice view and a nice small lake.

Hard property to evaluate. The house itself is nice enough, although when we arrived we found 4 overflowing trash bins and even more trash scattered in front. The landscape is had been neglected most of the summer (think knee high weeds around the kid’s play structure) and the fire alarm on the main floor was hanging by the wiring. Add to that that the well ran dry on our second day and we had to leave after two nights (instead of six) and you’ll understand we weren’t exactly pleased But the principal problem is the lake access. There is a photo of it in the listing, and what you see is all there is. In summer, (we came late august) the access is woefully inadequate for the number of people who have the right to use it. If you come in summer with the idea that you’re going to have a pleasant vacation on the shore of a lake, you will be bitterly disappointed. At one point during our stay, there were 12 other people on the dock and and another half dozen milling around the shore. Yes, you can put a kayak or paddle board on the lake, take a swim, but you’re not going to be lounging pleasantly on the lakeshore. Besides that, it’s a pretty little lake. If you come at any other time of year, you will probably love it. There’s a little sauna, a nice hot tub and the surroundings are pleasant. Just don’t count too much on the lake.
