Stayed Aug 30, 2024If you don't like lizards or are afraid of them, a stay here is not recommended. Unfortunately, we found two lizards in the house and another one in our luggage before we left. No air conditioning, and if you open the windows, lots of lizards want to come into the house.

Stayed Feb 12, 2019Every thing you could need was supplied in the casita but constant walkers and hikers in front by the sea and on the walkway above the cabin led to no privacy at all. 15 min walk from parked car to cabin with 47 steps!

Stayed Jan 15, 2017This was a wonderful oceanfront house rental that was perfectly situated away from the touristy areas of Tenerife. We stayed here for a week and was able to drive to the house from the south airport quite easily from the motorway. The emailed directions to the house from the parking area were easy to understand and the walk to the house is very safe. Igueste de San Andres was a wonderful location to stay in for our first trip to Tenerife and we didn't have any trouble driving to our day trips to Los Cristianos, Mt. Teide, Santa Cruz, Las Teresitas beach, and the botanical garden in Puerto de la Cruz. I definitely would recommend renting a car to reach this location and explore the island. We also spent a day driving through Taganana and other mountain villages to observe breathtaking views from the Anaga Mountains. The kitchen is fully functional and we also used the washing machine twice. Our welcome basket upon arriving after midnight was a wonderful surprise, as well! We will definitely miss having our morning coffees overlooking the ocean and trying our luck fishing outside our front door. We hope to return soon!

Stayed Apr 9, 2016This place is clean and lovely. There is a large patio with a table and chairs, lounge chairs outdoor shower and shade. There is a small garden area behind the patio with herbs, papaya tree and other plantings. The house sits about 30 feet back from the ocean. The managers Ana and Doris are very responsive to questions and were super helpful with all inquiries. They recommended restaurants and were a great help when I left a credit card behind on accident. I recommend their rental to everyone able to walk the distance from the end of the road to the house, which is approximately 0.25 miles. It is definitely worth the walk.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is the most magical place we have ever stayed. We are coming back next year because we fell in love with it. We went to sleep each night to the sound of waves on the beach in front of us; woke to views of Teide from our terrace; and savoured the tranquillity. The cottage is very well-appointed and comfortable, and so romantic. We had everything we needed or could have hoped for - thank you, Doris!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Drive east from Santa Cruz until you pass the last town and a glorious white beach, take a narrow road clinging to the cliff edge with a castellated parapet looking like the great wall of China disappearing into the distance. Arrive at a small hamlet at the end of the road, park and take a winding path next to the Church which leads you through the last of the houses to the bank of a storm river and finally to the sea and a Tapas bar, and when the path runs out cross a short stretch of black sand to La Casita de la Playa. The house is ideal accommodation for two, with a great view of the storms over Gran Canaria. The friendly family who run the Tapas bar provide good company, beer and top quality meals which they deliver to La Casita, and the delightful owner, speaks English and drives like a well known Spanish racing driver when delivering your forgotten passports to the airport. Altogether a smashing experience, my only regret is that in writing this other people may book and deny us a second opportunity to experience the calm on the other side of the back of beyond.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This magic little cottage is situated with the sea right outside the front door and a spectacular mountain behind. We were there in January, perfect weather, not too hot and lots of sunshine, in fact a whole week of it. Once your there, you need not leave (if you dont want to) there is a little shop in the village, a local bar (Oscar's) with awesome mojito's and Mama Esta who provided the dinner each night (this was optional but we would definately recommend it) There is also a restaurant in the village but we never tried it. If you tire of the volcanic beach which is within walking distance the town it is only a 20 minute drive away, and there is a friendly bus service. The road between town and the village is quite visually spectacular, lots of ups and downs and tight bends but newly laid and along the cliff edge. Worth a drive out even if you are not going into town. I have only good things to say about our weeks visit, we loved it and will be returning. If you can speak Spanish it would help but we know very little Spanish and managed to get along just fine.
