This was the perfect spot for our family vacation to Yosemite. While it's about 30 minutes to most of the main attractions in the Yosemite Valley, that's about as close as you are going to get unless you stay in one of the lodges in the park. But we loved the location and the quiet of the area. The kitchen is fully stocked with high quality pots, pans and utensils!

We recently stayed at this house, and overall, it was pretty great! The kitchen had everything we needed, with awesome appliances and a good set of pots and pans, making it easy to whip up meals after our long hikes. We loved the sound system for music during game nights, too. That said, there were a few things that could use some attention. The place could’ve been cleaner; there was a lot of dust on the baseboards, and the fans had visible dust on the blades. We even spotted some cobwebs on the sconces and ceiling fans, and the upstairs toilet had a bit of a ring that wasn’t nice to see.Another small bummer was the towel situation. There were only five towels and washcloths for five guests, which wasn’t quite enough for us.All in all, this house was a nice spot to come back to after our adventures, but it would be a hit if they could improve on the cleanliness and more towels.

The cabin was great! Very clean and well stocked with a blender, olive oil, coffee, etc. The driveway was a little steep (which is pretty normal for the area) but it could use some repair work. We had two cars and it was difficult to park both. Luckily it was not snowy, it would not have been possible in the snow. The upstairs queen been is two twin? size beds put together which was a little annoying as a tall guy.

The Chalet was the perfect size for our family of four. It is incredibly well stocked with anything you may need to cook any meal, and generous supplies of toiletries. The Chalet was clean and well kept. Great selection of streaming services and very reliable internet. We spent a great amount of time playing game boards and card games, all available at the Chalet. We were a bit hesitant about the steep driveway, but we didn’t have any problems. We had a wonderful time and cannot wait to stay at the Chalet again.

We had a fantastic stay! The cabin is cute & comfortable, perfect for a family gathering. There are toys & games for kids, a high-chair and a porta-crib. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook for your family, including a stand-mixer, food processor, insta-pot, baking dishes, and even oils & spices. The parking spaces are up a steep, narrow driveway and there is no street parking. It would be a little tough to park if there were snow or ice.

The Kitchen was equipped. The kitchen sink grate bottom side really needed cleaning. The stove top had spattered grease from previous guests. When the oven was turned on smoked filled the house, our son jumped out of the shower yelling somethings is burning in the oven! The oven was not cleaned from previous guests and filled the house with smoke. We couldn't find the smoke alarm since it hadn't sounded, found it. We opened the doors and windows to clear out the smoke. I had to scrape the bottom of the oven before putting our dish inside to heat up.Since we were not familiar with Vrbo it would be helpful to attach information about the amenities so we would not have brought so many dishes, pots and pans with us, & seasonings. There was a lot and we were thankful for that. There were so many labels and switches but could not find one to turn the loft fan off. We did leave a note explaining that on the island. The entrance code did not work to open the back door to enter. So, if we wanted to use that area, we would have had to leave the door a jar. Is there an area we could have emptied the trash, we were not aware and did not of course, want to leave it outside so, we left it in the house. We did email Simmy a couple months before our stay and asked for information with no response. The driveway Really needs attention! We have a Tundra truck, not a four-wheel drive and at some points the tires would spin in areas, the weather was clear, dry. More Towels too.

This was the first time I even knew there were rentals available INSIDE Yosemite. When deciding on where to stay, I was contemplating tenaya but when I found this unit which was so much closer, had full kitchen, laundry, AC, internet, and could accommodate the four of us for comparable price, it was a no brainer. We loved that the neighborhood was upscale and on the newer end of homes. This one was modern which suited our preferences. We kept commenting to each other while we were meal prepping how well everything was labeled and also well-stocked! When traveling, we don’t want to have to pack extras such as plastic wrap, oil and spices. This kitchen was awesome! We also chose this property Becky AC in every room because you never know when we are hit with a great wave in September. Turned out we didn’t need to turn anything on because the weather was so perfect.

It was hard to find in the dark our 1st time in. It was farther from sites than we realized. The kitchen was very well stocked. It was furnished nicely. We lost power one evening for over 4 hours. Luckily, electric candles and a lantern were provided. Our biggest complaint was cleanliness. The upstairs bathroom floor was filthy. There were long dark hairs (not ours) in tub. The toilet seat was very loose. There was dust and cobwebs throughout the cabin. To be clear. It is not inside the NP. The neighborhood's only entrance is inside the NP which eliminates the need to enter park repeatedly.

Great location for exploring all sections of Yosemite. The host provided excellent detail in advance of trip so that we knew what to expect and were well-prepared. Clean and cozy. The kitchen is better stocked than my own kitchen - Vitamix blender, pressure cooker, food processor, etc. If you need a gadget for a recipe, odds are very good you'll find it in this kitchen. Filtered water and plenty of ice were appreciated. Bedding and towels were comfortable/very good quality. Lots of puzzles and books closet full of kids toys. Enjoyed relaxing on the deck to start and end each day.

Loved the proximity to the park. The house was as nice as advertised and fit our family of 5 very well. The kitchen was well stocked with all we needed for meals. The deck was so peaceful and relaxing. The only downside was that it was not as clean as we expected. We had to do some initial cleaning in the bathroom, sweep off the deck and get rid of cobwebs, recycling from previous renter was still there, and there were cobwebs and in lots of places. For what we paid, I expected it to be cleaned better. Not up to the usual standards of the many VRBO’s we’ve stayed at.

Our family of 4 stayed here for our Yosemite vacation. The home was clean and well cared for. More than enough space to sleep, hang out, eat, etc. We especially appreciated the kitchen which had everything we could want or need for food prep and cooking. The location was very peaceful and tucked into Yosemite West. We liked the relatively close proximity of Yosemite West to Yosemite Valley. Before arriving, it was tricky to understand what Yosemite West meant and that it was technically in the park. This was particularly important because we heard about potential wait times to enter if you didn't arrive early in the morning.

We didn't see or hear any neighbors.Cons:Mattress is very firm. Could use a plush topper.Bathrooms are very small.Deck planks are old, rotting and loose with exposed nails. The host is planning to replace the deck in August, so be careful until then. The property is located at the very bottom of Yosemite West, so it will take you around 10 minutes to get up to highway 41.The driveway is very steep and narrow.

So many spices! The toiletries, towels and linens were great as well. Beds are very comfy. I loved all the labels...helps to keep the home organized. Weather was perfect during our visit...we spent time on the deck and utilized the grill. Home is a little deep into West Yosemite (approx 12 minute drive from Route 41) but not a game-changer. The house included all the amenities you could possibly need- including oil, vinegar, every seasoning you could think of, paper towels, etc (I would check what’s in the kitchen before buying something.) The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable- compared to other houses we have rented in the past. The house no longer has a Satellite (as stated) - but the streaming pay channels are definitely an upgrade. The bathroom tub/shower combination is smaller verses the normal size and does not have any grab grabs. Definitely recommend bringing a couple of collapsible cooler bags to transport food to and from grocery stores and park excursions. We cooked almost every night and prepped for lunch and breakfast for the following day. You will pay a huge premium if you shop in the park and the choices are limited- I definitely recommend buying in Oakhurst beforehand. The house does a a nice size fridge w/ ice maker BUT to keep everything ice cold in the foldable cooler we froze water in 36 oz Gatorade and put them in the cooler bottles -worked great. * We stayed/hiked for 7 days- best bet, get to the valley early (by 10) park your car (use this as ur home base - you can easily go back and forth to car) and use the shuttle to go to all 17 stops. IF U DONT- u will find it difficult to find parking spots through out the day. We also brought collapsible golf chairs thus allowing us to relax/picnic anywhere! - especially near El Capitan so we could watch the climbers with binoculars.

Great location to stay for accessing different areas of Yosemite NP. Glacier Point Road is nearby. 35 minute drive to Yosemite Valley or Mariposa Grove. The property is clean and will organized (labeling throughout). The bedding and seating are quite comfortable. The kitchen is modern and well stocked. Linens are fresh and luxurious. Our party of 4, two couples, found the property to be adequately spacious for us. Because we had good weather for our week, we spent our days out exploring, and never found the opportunity to explore the books, games and puzzles available in the Chalet. We did not use the grill or back deck seating, but often checked the thermometer out there to see how warmly to dress for the day. Enjoyed sitting on the front deck, observing the activity of wildlife.I highly recommend this property and thank the owners for allowing us to spend a week in Yosemite paradise.

By the time we connected with owner and he got cleaning crew out it was 8:30 before we could check in and use the place, so not a great start. Even after cleaning the entry mat was still dirty, used wash cloths in both baths and dust you could see all over from Lott looking down so I’m not sure how this place gets such a great review for cleanliness. It was great being inside the park and we did enjoy Yosemite. This is about as close as you can get without camping or staying at a Yosemite hotel/lodge. About 30 min drive into that area. Before I begin, do NOT be like us and forget to have the check-in info in either a hard copy format or screen printed photos on your phone, because we had zero cell coverage with AT&T regardless of where we were in the neighborhood. We ended up having to go back into Wawona in order to connect and retrieve the check-in info, which took a little more than an hour. We stayed here in July of 2024, so it was awesome to come home to a nice cool home (even when the AC was turned off while we were gone) and a shower after a long day of outdoor hiking and exploring! The kitchen was perfectly outfitted, which allowed us to easily cook our own tasty meals each evening. The beds were comfortable, the mini-split ACs worked great, and the TV had many service options! The size of the unit was great for our family of four. The Starlink internet was reliable and easy to use. If you have an EV, there was a plug at the front of the home, though we did not use it as our van is just a regular gasoline vehicle. The driveway is very steep and I cannot imagine driving our minivan up it in winter, plus the parking at top is tight. Though, we were able to manage without problems. Overall, I recommend this unit to anyone visiting Yosemite who doesn’t want to fight the crowds in the park after a day of exploring! Oh! We also had one minor concern while staying, and after I texted the managing owner, they called me within just a couple of minutes to resolve! Thank you!!

We stayed 4 nights in July and loved the proximity to Yosemite. It is especially convenient to Glacier Point Road. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook all of our meals in. The beds were very comfortable and it was really nice to have a separate bathroom for our 18-year-old son! The one evening the power went out, the manager was responsive and helped get information from the electric company. (It was out in the whole neighborhood.) The cabin was nicely stocked and appointed. A great stay!
